This is amazing. The artwork is better than many modern comic books. I've read Marvel's Thor: Ragnarok story from a few years back, and this is I dare say, a better interpretation.

It'll be VERY disappointing if they don't have a massive battle scene playout and instead go for "changing fate" like Kratos has done in the past. I would've figured they would've done a whole separate game exclusively for the battle at ragnarok

Lore is accurate but story plays out differently in unexpected ways. If you want an accurate telling of any mythology you go somewhere that will tell it accurately. God of War is about playing around with mythology. It's not a game about telling you about mythology. It gets people interested in the real story. Thor Ragnarok is not the reason I'm here. Norse mythology seemed barely featured there and background to the Marvel stuff. It was also more of a comedy than a story that didn't bother to take itself seriously. God of War Ragnarok is why I'm interested in Norse mythology now. Cause they told the story in an interesting enough way to get me interested in the real mythology. Same with the original God of War. Point being it's a unique story that gets people interested in learning real mythology. If we had it your way we wouldn't have great characters that seem small in the big picture like Brok and Sindri. If the games claimed to be accurate retellings of old story and weren't that then I would agree with you. Like the movies that say "based on a true story", yet they get all the details wrong. But by now absolutely no-one expects historical accuracy going into a God of War game. Pretty sure people aren't going in for historical accuracy. They're going for Kratos and the interesting characters.

By that logic watch a superhero show lol. Aren't gods just representation of humans like kings/queens? Cause humans used to treat kings/queens like gods. Gods also have human characteristics like love, jealously etc. The interesting part to me is the mythical nature of it. Like how they represent nature in a physical form for example. How often they challenge each other by wits and not violence. The curses so on and so forth are interesting. Feel like that's more interesting than a really strong God can lift rocks etc. I'm just saying hope a Norse/Greek/Egyptian/etc mythology show doesn't just devolve into Superhero stuff cause real mythology is far more interesting than just the common save the world plot superheroes are. And Freyr was unarmed when Surtr killed him. 12:50 Odin has two Eyes here, but he sacrifieced one of it to Mimir for Wishdom. And its a fine liberty, its a Story after all, but Jomungandr never had Poison Gas, it was never described how he poisoned Thor.

Some few things I’d like to point out it seems you forgot or maybe wheren’t aware of You forgot the 3 roosters The first going to Hel to prepare their forces for battle The second going to Jotunheimr to declare the vengeance of the Jotnar has arrived And the final rooster travelling to Asgaard to warn the Aesir of their imminent demise. You also left out a cool detail about the army of the dead, who was said to travel to Ragnarok on a giant ship called Naglfar made of the fingernails of the dead There is also somewhat of a misconception of Jotnar being “Ice giants” The Jotnar have been described in many many different varieties with some being of human size, to trolls to straight up Giants like Sutr and Ymir. However I do not believe the sagas ever describe them as made of Ice and is in fact a misconception, though if anyone can correct me please do so
