Another great video in the series, Kelly is a wealth of information when it comes to detailing!! Did you get V5 in the end or will we find out in a future video?…I had my car detailed earlier this year at KDS and it’s been a dream to wash the car ever since, great guys 👍🏼
Wow, this was an incredible & very technical/detailed explanation. Just bought a m4 competition, and 2 thoroughly tar removed, iron removed, claybared & 2 stage machine polished it myself. Then applied the EXO coating! Now im wishing i hadve known somewhere that i couldve put the crystal on from!
Enjoyed that mat. Kelly is always good value, thinks outside the box and doesn't follow the crowd, I've always admired that about him , if he talks I listen . 👍👍👏👏
Hello Mr Kelly I'm RAUL from the USA Florida I just saw your video and I was so impressed with your work. I have a 2018 Acura TLX Aspec SH-AWD and it's white with red interior. I would definitely would like to have my car just like it came from the dealer.
Great video, absolutely loving this series. Kelly is an absolute genius and takes real pride in what they do. Happy new year bud, keep smashing the class content!
Hi Mat, great video, your car looks brand new with the detail done.worth it for the protection of the vehicle.the Porsche GT is very smart and with the wheels its very smart.
Ceramic coating to the alloy wheels? I use Gyeon which provides good beading and high temperature protection. Thanks for another interesting video. Would be nice to see a video how to remove scratch marks from black metallic paint.
in my experience as a detailer..crystal serum light is amazing! But im NOT a fan of EXOV4! Wheels? C5 wheel armour big thumbs up also!! (edit) V5 is coming??! Now i'm interested!
Great video. I did an ‘okay’ job applying C1 many years back when it came out to my old Civic. With pretty good results! Nowadays wild something like Gyeon Cancoat be better for the enthusiast on a driveway for ease of application with similar results in terms of longevity?
They toss the used application cloths in there to prevent/delay crystallisation and possibly use them for dirty jobs around the unit and cleaning up spills etc
@@TheDetailingSpace weird, I was using crystal cerium light and exo today and there’s no mention of a respirator - just says to use gloves and don’t ingest the liquid.
@@TheDetailingSpace I barely (if any) see any professional installers wear vapour masks. I’m going to Gtechniq next month to become ultra accredited. Il find out what mask they recommend. Carpro was never this harsh on the chest.
So here's a question Kelly can answer, he says he floods the panel then wipes it off, so how much product are you really using on that car 1x 30ml bottle 2x 30ml bottles or more?
thats nonsense, you can remove any ceramic coating with polish! Take Scholl Concepts S0, makes the paint look matte after you do a compounding set! This man is playing word games by saying Polish instead of Compound!
I'll see if I can get Kelly to reply, but we had chats where he tried all sorts of tests with it, both application and removal. He knows his stuff. Have you experienced Crystal Serum Ultra?
I’m now sold on this stuff Bought a 6 year old car garaged & barely driven car covered in this stuff since new it that has the most amazing paint gleam / shine on it I’ve ever seen. And I’m into cars in a Biiig way ! Drove it 2 hours in the rain back home & a few days after and it appears near spotless 😮

Thank you. You'll find out in the next video 👍
One of the absolute BEST videos I’ve seen on applying ceramic coatings. Thank you!
Thank you 👍

I would've liked to be a fly on the wall when the wheel damage was discussed during the tyre change! Great informative video.
Imagine that!
Really interesting video Mat. Thoroughly enjoyed!👍
Thank you. Glad you liked it 👍
Thanks Mat, really enjoying this series.
Thank you. Glad you are 👍

Looks brilliant. I'd hate the pressure of putting that coating on knowing it could go wrong big time.
🤣 I was feeling that when they let me apply a bit 🤣
Brilliant video I would love to go on a course with Kelly the stuff you would learn would be amazing.
Great work guys.. right in my wheel house of geek mode tips
Thanks 👍

Yes, the orange and black works very well together
Another great video 👍 out of interest what happens to all the used cloths.
Think he downgrades them to other jobs
the Porsche totally looks freshly coated. wow
👍

Well, if I find a black car with a scratch I'll be sure to do a video 👍

Pops Detailing here in Auburn Ca. A question I noticed a bucket of water when applying the coating. What is that for?
Great Video Thank you.

@@TheDetailingSpace Thank you
Did you miss the Diamondbrite /Jewelultra products?
Wonderful video! Where can one get those detail carts with the polisher and bottle holders as well?
Clean & Shiny
So great video! Thanks!
No worries 👍
Great video.
How much crystal serum and exo would you use to coat the suzuki?
Basically a full bottle of serum and then 2 coats of exo
@@TheDetailingSpace
Thank you how much exo did it take to do 2 coats of exo?
Not sure exactly as we did a coat at Kelly's, and then I did a coat at home with a separate bottle (didn't have time to do 2 coats at Kelly's place)
if you could, please make a video demonstrating the water behavior of EXO V4
Is there a place in Florida where I can get the same type of work like in your video. And who can you recommend here in Florida
The only person I know I Florida is Mike Phillips who is in a place called Stuart I believe
Is it okay to apply crystal serum ultra onto a matte finish car?
You'd need C1 Crystal Lacquer
Not wanting to pre empt the next video, can i ask if Gtec C4 is suitable for piano black exterior trim?
I think it would be 👍
My concern when I load the applicator is the smell and the vapours.
Which is why they recommend a well ventilated area and to wear a respirator
@@TheDetailingSpace weird, I was using crystal cerium light and exo today and there’s no mention of a respirator - just says to use gloves and don’t ingest the liquid.
@sxixlxnx maybe mask... Either way, I thought it was common practice to wear one (I'm aware I don't always)
@@TheDetailingSpace I barely (if any) see any professional installers wear vapour masks. I’m going to Gtechniq next month to become ultra accredited. Il find out what mask they recommend.

I believe on this car it was 1x 50ml bottle. Kelly may correct me, but I'm sure there are 30ml and 50ml quantities available
@@TheDetailingSpace Ok thanks for that, so a fair bit then, I guess using 30 ml on a MWB sprinter was being a little mean then lol.
Haha, probably... I'd guess at 3 bottles on that 😂
First car I ceramic coated was my new Leon in 2015 and used almost a full bottle of CarPro on that (only a few drops left after)
Hey what happened with exo v5?
Not sure. Still don't think it's been officially released unfortunately
Do you do more than one coating
Ideally yes 👍
Thanks great
1st
As always 😂
