- There's another brand new Ferrari joining the Shmeemobiles! Join me at the new Ferrari Hatfield showroom to pull the covers back and reveal the next addition to my collection. The car is on order, we'll go through the spec, and it's going to be amazing alongside my other Ferraris!
Having bought my Ferrari GTC4Lusso and SF90 Stradale from HR Owen London, I've already revealed the Purosangue that's due to arrive at the end of the year, and 296 GTS, but now it's time to add another Ferrari to the inbound list! However, to take a first look at the latest addition, we're at the new sister-showroom for HR Owen, their Hatfield facility.

We're heading inside to the handover bay to pull the covers back on a Ferrari Roma Spider! The new convertible version of the Roma has arrived at long last, sporting matched performance to the Coupe and visually bringing the exceptionally elegant silhouette to an open-top driving experience. We're taking a look at a launch car in Blu Roma, with the optional Blu folding soft top roof, with my spec choices yet to be announced.
I've always loved a convertible-GT car; and currently that's a niche that is not fulfilled in my garage at all after selling the AMG GT R Roadster last year. In terms of Ferraris in the garage, the Roma Spider is also a different experience to each of the other cars creating both a very nice collection but also a variety of driving experiences. It will be incredible to see the SF90, Purosangue, 296 GTS and Roma Spider together in the garage in perhaps a year's time!

Ferrari doesn’t just let people who buy regular ferrari’s an allocation for their limited series cars. You gotta own a bunch of limited series Ferrari’s already for a long time

Building the Ferrari portfolio I see, hopefully they give you an allocation for their special edition Ferrari, maybe the sf90xx or the next v12 special edition
St90xx allocations have already been given out, it’s only a matter of time until we find out if he has/hasn’t been given an allocation

The 812 gts still the missing piece in the collection, but excited every time a new car is coming
I think Tim has missed that boat. they went super high in value during the covid period and now they're 5 years old. plenty of 812 gts content online to look for

@@emucars The 812 GTS is not 5 years old, and the last batch is stil being delivered. I have had two, and my most recent was delivered in April this year.

@@sadiqulkadir7507 No. The 812 GTS was unveiled at the Universo Ferrari in September 2019, so four years this coming September with deliveries starting Q2 2020. So they have been on the road for a bit over three years.
It is kind of a moot point still. We will not see the 812 SF successor until September 2024 which means late Q1 or early Q2 2025 deliveries, and for those wanting the drop top version, late 2025 if not 2026. There is absolutely no reason to wait until the 812 GTS successor if one wants a V12 drop top. Might as well get an 812 GTS now and drive that until deliveries. And considering Tim is in the UK, he would probably not get a delivery for a drop top successor until well into 2026 if not 2027.
I'm guessing that the Roma is both a stop gap car, but also a car that HR has asked hm to buy, Could easily be a car that made it possible for him to get an early allocation for the 812 successor.
As soon as I got the notification.

The 812 would have to be my favorite ferrari as of now. The drama of the drive and the menacing stance along with the rambunctious exhaust is a matchmade.
Shmee is so professional, accurate and his attention to every detail is next level. Its always pleasure to watch!

Navy blue on the interior is a solid choice, Tim. I think it'd look really good with a light metallic blue and silver wheels on the exterior. I wouldn't go fully navy blue, though, as it could look a little too dark on the inside. Maybe you could add a few accents in a lighter color. That'd be my choice.

If you don't have anything useful to say, then don't say it at all. Why should any of us care about what your opinion is on Tim's future car specification if you don't provide any meaningful feedback. "I think it's boring" is not helpful in the slightest, so you might as well have said nothing. If you personally don't like the specification and that's all you have to say on the matter, then why don't you go to your own local Ferrari dealer and specify a car yourself in the configurator? Show us how it's done.

I'm old enough to remember when the typical Ferrari dealer had five Ferraris or less in inventory at any given time. They're certainly bigger with a hell of a lot more inventory now. At any rate I'm not surprised by the Roma. It really is one of the most elegant cars modern Ferrari has produced.

When the Roma was launched I have to admit it took me a little while to warm to the front grille… however I was completely sold on the general looks and especially the interior!

Congratulations Tim! Love the front look of the roma but the rear always looked weird to me with the taillights when the coupe was shown. Wishing you got a 812 GTS for your convertible grand tourer as it would be largely more different than your upcoming 296 GTS. Awesome content tho always going above expectations!
Yes, I was hoping for an 812 too. A collection of an 812, purosangue with the v12s and the sf90 296 combo with the hybrids.

Congrats tim! Not as much as a surprise whem considering yoir love for convertibles but I'm still hoping for a 812 super fast edition someday with a novetec exhaust. That's a car worthy if keeping for a long time . Thanks for all the great content. I'm sure Ferrari is happy to see you as one of their brand ambassadors.

About the Shmuseum, for the second barn I have a question. Are both buildings near each other? If yes, in the future u could have builders come and make the connection from the main building to the second for ease of access for example.

Very nice looking car. The more I look at the Roma, the more I like it. Calm, smooth and elegant design makes me want to look at it more. I want one haha! Good luck shmee, can't wait to see the color combo you pick for the interior.
Yeah I loved the curves of 458 and this is the next version of 458 but Idk why Im not liking it as much as 458. This is indeed very elegant car .

The tiny bit of glass left when the rear quarters are down is getting to me. I know a lot of these are limited with the wheel arches, but it’s still a shame

Holy hell! I was desperately trying to guess before you pulled off the wraps but as soon as I saw the grill, I had it all figured. From my opinion a more niche but definitely sleek and sweet Ferrari. Totally forgot it came in spider form too. Enjoy when it arrives.

Why do you think he's buying all these Ferraris! He needs to bump his name on the 'preferred buyer' list to get any of the limited models. It's a shame they choose to do business that way, but it's clearly working for them while the top one percent's wealth continues to grow.

A true womens car
I really like the way they shaped those back seats for stuff in bags that you might want to strap in with a seatbelt to keep it secure. I carry propane tanks in the back of my convertible, for instance, but the seat bottom is too flat for the belts to do much good. Not that you would use the Roma to run to fill the tanks for a cookout, but you could...

This is the first ever video that has made me look at the Roma in a different light. Love how the silhouette is not spoilt by the fabric roof. Similar to the new gen Mercedes SL.
Sweet looking car!! Proportionally speaking, at least for me, this is so much better than the AMG Roadster you had. While that was a very nice car, I wasn't a fan of how far back you sat and having such a long hood. This on the other hand, is so much better in that regards. Great addition to the garage, TIm! Just goes to show how much you appreciate elegant cruisers. I'm curious though, why don't you ever consider more neutral colors like gray, silver, anthracite etc..
I think the Rome is one of the prettiest modern Ferraris, a “subtle” spec is definitely the way forward. My only criticism, and it’s a small one is I don’t like the black spoiler. I appreciate it can be body colour (which I definitely would choose) but all the cars I’ve seen in pictures and video have it. Congratulations Tim on another great car.

Thought of the old California Conv roof at that but with the hard top taking so much boot space for a GT. for access the fitted soft side from under the shelf serve well. SPEC: May one consider a Ext in.Rosso Mugello. Sort of a fine Burgundy paired to the Darker Brown Roof the Darker Red matches up well. Iorko? Why passive solar warming.. for a brisk spontaneous jaunt up to the Post roads of Scotland. We find the darker floor carpeting highlights lighter dirt's. Meaning more preening is required of one.

That Verde Lupo 812 outside the showroom is insanity. I’ve been looking around for a possible 812 and that one popped up in an incredible speck, on top of the fact it’s Tailor Made.

1. Looks really bad when opened, with exposed structs and all
2. Since the flaps open, you cannot keep luggage or anything that might hinder the opening of the flap
I would have kept it very similar to other spiders, where its like a window that can go up and down.
going throught the process to get the laf replacement hope you get it it will be a unicorn in youtube, the car you really like, the 812, is the only one you didnt buy at least for now. good luck and really enjoy this buying videos.

I was in maranellos on Friday, unfortunately due to the car already bought, there was a very nice Matte mint green but slightly darker which I unfortunately could not take photos of. Whoever the owner is of the 296 gbt there, you have a beautiful car.

That wind deflector would make or break a convertible for me. My Eclipse Spyder is soo windy that it's unbearable past 45mph and in Missouri, everything is 45+.... well deserved Tim, congrats 👏🏻

A good spec would be Abu Dhabi blue, silver wheels, yellow shields, blue roof and a black interior or a very dark brown interior

Roma is great, but it's the grill that still has me iffy. It's like the M3 grill to me. Depends on the colour chosen if it works or not. But it is a great driver, the loaner I had for a week was fun as a canyon cruiser out here in SoCal.

If you can get the interior to perfectly match the roof that would be the way I would go. The accent interior color for the rings would look good if it were the same light blue as the body color. That would make the interior almost the reverse of the exterior which would look great.
