    Another fantastic Teresa video! She did a great job with this song associated with Edith Piaf. "Milord" was Teresa's last single to chart on the Billboard Hot 100. All these Teresa Brewer videos are really fantastic! I'd also love to see Richard Tucker sing "Nessun Dorma" on this episode.

      Teresa's last charter, but it was also Piaf's last top 100 in the USA. In fact, La Vie en rose was the only other one. Rather surprising. It gets weirder. The biggest hit of Milord in America was Bobby Darin who reached #45 on the Hot 100 and 11 on the AC chart in 1964. Even more odd, Bobby sang it in French with the lyrics changed to account for a gender switch.

      @@MostlyBrenda I completely forgot about Bobby's version until you mentioned it. I like it a lot too! That was a surprise hit for Bobby, came out of left field.

      @@TomElvisSmith It's illogical to say the least. "Bobby, lets do Milord". Darin: " A song about a woman's desire for sn upper class man?" Producer: "We'll rewrite it snd do it in French!" Darin:"What?" That it would top Brewer's version in the middle of the British invasion is an oddity.

    Love this Teresa Brewer tune. I remember rushing out to my local record store in Circleville, Ohio, after hearing this and buying a copy! Looking forward to more Teresa Brewer videos here...and, hopefully, more with The McGuire Sisters...and how about the tunes from the two times the wonderfully talented Gisele MacKenzie graced Mr. Sullivan's stage?!

    Rather than trying to imitate Piaf they went with American lyrics and an up-tempo beat, well suited for Ms. Brewer's style. An excellent performance.

    This is performed at a faster tempo than on the record. It is still great, though. Her dress is glamorous and unusual and beautiful.

    Her song Nickelodeon was banned in a few states because the lyrics said "I'd do anything for you, anything you'd want me to."

      wow ! Back then, it was more general terms, not implying anything. Times have changed.

      @@djreid Dwight Turner is talking about 1950. There was something in Ireland. Maybe in New England. Where else? I hope this is not exaggerated.

      @GSMovieMoments 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately Wheel Of Fortune is an internet File-Sharing ERROR. Kay Starr sang that, but you see how the "pirates" have actually carried their error over into official web music sales. Teresa never sang that.

      She did plenty of Country in the 1960s on Philips. What does Frank Sinatra have to do with it?
