In Big Daddy Brad we trust. Getting this much talent on the team is no guarantee of success, but I'd rather have it than not. Brad's got his work cut out for him, but man... Coach has to be salivating at what he has to work with. This could be a very fun year for Illini basketball. I'll be in State Farm watching.

Ben is made from the same mold, but bigger with even a better shot. You did give him credit maybe being Illini’s top scorer! Kudos on that, BTW. Good call! Ben is going to surprise in the same way as Marcus. Quietly. 🤫
Bill, I ALWAYS appreciate your feedback. I understand Ben was probably the easiest answer to the question and like you said, I did say I think right now Ben was going to be our highest scorer. But I was moreso trying to just answer the question differently in the sense that I think Tre White has become a forgotten man, even in the Illini circle. I think he's going to be a lot better than folks are thinking right now and wanted to shine some love on the kid. I did say I didn't think White would be all conference or anything, but simply an important piece to the basketball team the next couple years. Thanks for watching!

Hope so because I have him like third off bench for his position right now. Whole team this year will likely have surprises for most of us. Anyways … just sayin’. Keep up the tremendous work!!
Agreed. The only guy locked into their position I think right now is Boswell at PG. Everything else I think is still needing to be sorted. Have no idea what to expect this season and that’s why I’m looking forward to it.
My starting 5 would be: Boz, KJ, Will, Hum, and Tom. Boz is clearly your best point and will probably play 30 to 35 minutes a game. KJ & Will are probably going to the NBA in 2025, so you kind of need to start them. Hum only has this one year of eligibility left so you kind of need to start him. And Tom is 7'1" and we've needed rim protection and just a big body there for awhile now, although I think Booth and Morez can get some of those minutes at 5, but they will both probably also get some minutes at the 4, giving Hum a rest, or, there on the bench for if and when Hum and(or) Tom get into foul trouble. The guys who might be fighting for enough minutes are DGL, Tre, and Davis. Ty looks like he's developing a shot so he probably will be able to eat into KJ and Will's minutes at the 2 and 3, and we know he is good defensively on the boards, so he will find his minutes, I'm not worried about Ty, especially if they try to do booty ball through him which I really think they can, but there is just too much talent on this team now for there not to be a few odd men out who are probably going to be unhappy with their minutes/roles in the end, who may decide to transfer out in 2025, but we shouldn't get too ahead of ourselves with that kind of talk yet. If IL has any problems right now, they're mostly just good problems to have. I think this IL team could be alot like Kentucky's team last year, with hopefully not an early exit out of the tourney, but I do think they can get back to the tourney for sure, but I agree with alot people that they most likely won't be getting back to an elite 8 or better. I think they could get to a sweet 16. Just too much youth an inexperience yet compared to last year's team overall to think they could make a deep run, but you also never know.
