Not only is Paul Bettany one of the best actors disney has ever casted, his delivery there was on point.
Vision got some of the best lines in the MCU "Well, I was born yesterday."
The fact that Wanda can be in the astral plane AND be concious in the real world at the same time just proves how much more powerful than Doctor Strange she really is
Honestly, like I always knew she was powerful because her body was conscience during her astral projection but now looking back at it, it really does show the amount of power that she holds. Imagine what her body is doing? Is it thinking? Is it her? Or is it like a mindless corpse of a person just walking around while the real Wanda is doing the studying in the back? When you sit back and think about it a lot, it actually makes you wonder just how powerful she really is.
@@watdaforkman4436 I mean, she can alter reality and make people who don't exist. As illogical as it sounds, both Wandas are probably the real one. She is able to live a reclusive life out in the country, processing her experiences, while also being the Scarlet Witch and studying the Darkhold.
I love how you guys see that this was her form of grieving, there are a lot of people who will tell you Wanda is evil for doing this but she didn't even start the hex on purpose & once she found out it was hurting the people inside she ended it.

She has known she was in control of the hex for a long time. She sent Monica out and literally expanded the hex.😂😂😂
Wanda was grieving but what she did was horrible, easily one of the most evil acts in the entire MCU
@@school6206 Obviously she knew she was in the hex for a large portion of the show. But we see in the finale that she believed she was putting happy feelings in the heads of the people in the Hex. Once she found out they weren't actually feeling happy and were feeling her immense grief, she said bye to Vis and her kids and ended the Hex.
@@school6206 They should have written in that she had to pay a debt to the government or families or done a lot to atone for it, because Wanda was not an evil character per se, until they seemingly wrote her that way in Multiverse of Madness.
That would have been a better way to handle her character, keep accountability that Cap and Tony both would have wanted and prevented her character assassination.
That saying, considering her evil for doing that is a stretch. It was awful and definitely insane, and showed that a powerful being like her needs to truly get their mental state together through some means. But...she's not Thanos or even Ronan. Those guys are evil psychopaths. Wanda is hardly that.

Wanda giving birth to the twins was the typical depiction of child birth in sitcoms especially during the 70s.
Agatha's house is the actual house exterior from Bewitched that the lead characters Samantha and Darren Stephens lives in.
They used the same techniques used in the 1950s and 60s for an authentic look.
The “recast” for Quicksilver (Wanda’s brother) is the actor who played Quicksilver in the X-Men movies! He is the WAY BETTER version of him, and trust me when you get to those movies you will love em

Dr. Strange uses Eldritch Magic. Eldritch Magic is a type of magic that lets you borrow the power of magical beings. And is usually used by non-magically born magic users. Wanda was born with magic as we witnessed her subconciously stopped the missile from detonating. Her raw magic evolved into Chaos magic after she got exposed from the mind infinity stone. And Chaos Magic is also identified as CMBR or a primordial cosmic energy by Darcy in episode 4.

The truth is that I still believe that Wanda's mental instability was terrible. Upon arrival convinced that he could live quietly and peacefully. Even knowing that vision was dead, that caused his degree of living a flat life and happiness based on a lie. That's what makes this series one of my favorites because of the issues they address in it.❤❤

So we all lost our mind when Evan Peters showed up. For context Evan Peters played Quicksilver in Fox's X-Men universe, X-Men Movies you're watching at the moment. He's a more Americanized version of Pietro compared to the comics and MCU for example being named Peter instead of Pietro but still a Maximoff. The character also acts closer to someone like Impulse from DC while Aaron Taylor-Johnson from Age of Ultron was alot closer to Quicksilver from the comics but just didn't have alot of time to shine as the character. But overall Even Peters had much better scenes and was able to shine so he's the more beloved version of the character. Plus in these epiosde's he's just so good even getting a very classic Quicksilver outfit with the hair sticking up and everything.
Evan Peters Quicksilver predates the MCU version by just a few months to a year so I believe this is why his MCU version was killed of in Age of Ultron as maybe Marvel Studios thought Fox wouldn't allow them to keep using him or Fox just did not want two versions of the character happening at the same time. Both Wanda and Pietro started out as members of the Brotherhood of Mutants, Magneto's group you saw in the X-Men films but later joined the Avengers. Wanda was never actually a member of the X-Men, same goes with Quicksilver as well who was a member of X-Factor but not the main X-Men group. So a little loop hole for Marvel to get around when they first introduced them in Age of Ultron. But as of 2019 Marvel Studios own the rights to X-Men so they're free to do stuff like this now like Evan Peters showing up as "Quicksilver".
The series has been characterized as a blend of sitcom and "Marvel epic" by Feige, "super avant-garde and weird" by Bettany, an action movie with sitcom elements by actor Teyonah Parris, and "small-town sitcom silliness" by Livanos. Shakman's expertise in directing shows like the psychological drama Mad Men, the epic action series Game of Thrones, and sitcoms like It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia made him "uniquely equipped" to direct such a series. Shakman believed he had more experience creating WandaVision because he had worked as a kid actor in sitcoms like Just the Ten of Us in the 1980s.

If you remember back to Infinity Wars Bruce hinted about Vision without the stone saying there would be a whole lot of Vision left, maybe the best parts.
Love Wanda and her role as the scarlet witch, she needs to return to the MCU as soon as she can because she’s my favorite and her redemption era should be incredible.

A lot of people made it as one video for each Ep, or a 2 or 3 parter(each part 3 to 4 episodes). It would've been fine doing that too, cuz we understand the grind, but still appreciate the whole show in one video

I had some high hopes for Monica's "aerospace engineer" friend. A young Scottish doctor, perhaps.

Mónica Rambeau went by the name Captain Marvel in the comics but now she goes by Photon & her power is to convert her body into any form of energy on the electromagnetic spectrum this allows her flight at the speed of light, energy blasts, energy absorption, invisibility, intangibility, etc most of these we’ve seen so far from wandavision & trailers for the upcoming movie The Marvels. She’s one of the most powerful heroes in marvel comics and now the mcu so keep an eye out for her

They kept mixing up the 80s episode for the 90s or early 2000s. I think the show references work better with older viewers who grew up on reruns. It's harder nowadays to know the classic shows well.

Context: the subtext of this show is all about processing trauma. Since it came out while the pandemic was going on, it hit people really hard.
Explanation about Monica's powers: she can perceive, absorb, emit, or even turn into any kind of energy, but the catch is that she needs time to learn each type of energy. She needs to understand it. So for example, she can identify the unique energy signature of individual magic users, but she doesn't understand magic enough to use that energy to cast spells. She can turn into light and pass through windows, or absorb the kinetic energy of bullets. She is ridiculously powerful, but her power requires more brains to use than Carol's power.
In the comic books, SWORD and SHIELD are sister organizations. SHIELD deals with stuff on Earth, SWORD deals with extraterrestrial threats.
I love the detail that Darcy switched majors to physics because of Jane.
Wanda confronting SWORD agents was meant to remind you of the scene in which Magneto confronted the police in the first X-Men movie. Wanda is the biological daughter of Magneto.
Agatha is a complicated lady in the comic books. One minute she is the kindly babysitter for the Fantastic Four, then next thing you know she's is conspiring with the most evil devils in the universe. In there comic books, and taught Wanda formal magic.
The Darkhold is a very evil book. It corrupts people.
If you wanna get in your feels about the show's ending all over again, the very last thing to vanish when Wanda takes down the hex is her wedding ring.

Just a perfect miniseries. Wanda turning and breaking under the grief and power is just crazy to see. Lizzy Olsen deserved all of the awards!
Absolutely love watching your reactions, always a treat. Having watched what you've watched so far, both X-Men and MCU (All Marvel), I think you should try to watch the rest of the X-Men movies. Something BIG might be coming up in the near future...I guess they seem to be trying to connect all the Marvel movies somehow.

one good detail, in this series, on 55:30 vision was able to go through the other vision because he was fully developed, he couldn't do this when thanos held him because he wasn't fully developed as we he was stabbed in the chest, leaving him weak to go into thanos.

Legal stuff (Fox Pictures could make XMen movies but only characters in XMen comics) had magneto. Wanda is much bigger than XMen (obv). So she and Pierto crossed over.
The joke was fake Pierto was the actor that plays him in the XMen flicks (part 7 & 9).
The first episode made me think more of Bewitched, with the magic and all.

BTW Agents of SHIELD has an entire season on the Darkhold, and it's one of the very best seasons the show ever produced!

Then again, the MCU has a big, bad, GLARING problem in that they make their heroes the cause of the problem rather than the solution almost all of the time. That needs to stop. Whoever keeps floating that idea in pitch meetings over at Marvel needs to be shown the door at this point.

@@apollokickz I can only assume they were going for a combo of House of M Wanda and the time Chthon possessed her in the comics. Y'know, just generally evil Wanda, since the MCU is going through the 80's era of its comics right now. But, I agree with you.
At the very least, Hawkeye should've been there, just to get his reaction to Wanda's possession, since he's the one closest to Wanda after her brother died. They could've set him up to be the new leader of the Avengers, since they are hitting that 80's content, and he did lead the West Coast Avengers at that time. Then, like in the comics after Clint died and came back, he goes looking for Wanda, and that's the genesis of the Newest Avengers team, setting up for Kang Dynasty... This could've all taken place after his D+ show, I guess.

Wanda (Scarlet Witch) is one of the most powerful in Marvel Comic's. They adapted this from a Marvel Comic's storyline called "House of M" when Wanda kinda went insane and put the entire Marvel Universe in an alternate reality and a little girl and Wolverine was the only one's to remember the real reality.

Fun Fact: The kids are actually real... Ish. Tommy and Billy are Wanda's kids from the comics and they become adults in the comics. In the comics Wanda created them with the power of a character called Mephisto. The kids spirits get reincarnated as powerful characters called Wiccan and Speed.
