In retrospect, would you have gone with the regular size or do you think the mini was the right call? We looking at a tent too and during bad weather it would be probably easier to spent time in a bigger tent. Love to hear your thoughts. Thx
For my tent is mounted to my truck, I could only ever have gone for the Mini. For the two of us, it’s ample space in all honesty, the full size Skycamp would just be that extra luxury. But we’ve been tent bound on a few stormy trips and never really felt like we’ve struggled for space. In fact, I really like how cosy you can get the tent to be, and I think a large part of that is down to the size of the Mini. The only other type I’d consider would be a wedge type tent (so an iKamper BDV), but that would require a very different set up on my truck (a rear canopy that would bare weight), and the only reason for that would be, then the tent is purely contained within in the footprint of the vehicle, but even with that, I’d buy my Mini again in a heart beat
@@MichaelYardebut it goes on the inside of the tent. Unless the tent wets thru I don’t see how it’d get wet. It basically fits in place like a quilted blanket with plastic elastic toggles or something and creates another air barrier to slow heat loss.
“unresounding” - you keep using that word; I do not think it means what you think it means. That is unless you mean to say your support of the tent is undeserving of superlative adjectives.
@@MichaelYardenot watching it all over again but for example goto 23:45 and watch a few seconds yourself. You say unresounding repeatedly in this video; maybe you’re not aware. I’d chalk it up to accent but it seems pretty clear to me un-resounding. FWIW - Not shitting in you. I enjoyed your video, but with your mentioning your being a teacher I figured it was worth the pointing out. It’s like the buddy who loves to use irregardless or the like.
I’ve had my min 2.0 for few seasons. Still love it. Going across America with it.
bought mine through Andy, when to visit him for a demo and fitting. Totally top guy, very helpful and genuinely passionate about the product.
Great review. We ordered ours a few weeks ago and are looking forward to starting to use it.
You’ll love it! I don’t get much chance to use mine through the winter months, and I really really miss it. You’ll have many happy adventures to come

You can buy the thermal internal tent which makes it super warm in the winter
I'm considering it, but my main issue with winter camping is having somewhere to dry it off if it gets wet.
Super helpful review!! Maybe I will get one of those sometime soon! 🎉🎉🎉

“An unresounding success”?…either an unreserved yes, or a resounding yes, no?

"resounding" I use

mattress is shit in the ikampers
@@verlorenerjunge5921 completely agree. It’s not unique to iKampers either, the majority of mattress supplied with RTTs, I think, are very poor
