Thanks for the mic shootout. Confession here, I've been a bad boy. I have been taking Rivendell radio software for a romp and let me tell ya, the learning curve is str8 vertical. It is useful for exposure to the kind of detail and work that goes into a proper station but RDJ is obviously better suited for the @home radio geek to get up and running. Rivendell is heavy, insanely detailed, immensely powerful and incredibly well thought out, esp for a free app but just DANG!
I use the ElectroVoice RE-20 Black, mounted on the Electro-Voice 309-A shock mount. The mic is connected to a DBX 286 A microphone pre-amp and another connection to a Rodecaster Duo which I seldom use. I only like the Electro-Voice black and the beige one, which I sold to buy the new “black”. I’m watching your video at a casino and in the past few hours, my wife has lost enough money to buy another Electro-Voice mic!
I am listening your station since few days now and I love the eq settings you have done on your radio dj. Also kindly can you tell which encoder you are using to broadcast to stream music online.
@@intelshibu Have you tried the free audio processing plug-in, Stereo Tool? It's awesome. My RDJ settings: In Chain Volume: 65 Compressor: 5.0/3/-15/4/60 EQ: 0,2,1,-1,1,1,1,1,1,2 AGC: Med Stereo: 2
Yup but i got the fifine ks688 for 55$ and it's close but when he says DeLorean it falls flat. It's also not a professional microphone. So for a podcast or video game streaming or anything that has some standard background noise it's not going to be too different Especially when paired with something like a vocaster or another digital input. To me the changes in the low end(sub100$) audio world are fantastic This means in the future there'll be even better microphones that will reach recording level quality. And as shown the ks688 already let's you mold the audio to were you get close As a person who likes tech in general this is really good to see and hear.
Thanks for the comparison review video, Jeff!
Thank you so much!

Dang, Radio Dawg! Thanks for the hot tip. I'll check it out!

Ha! Don't let her gamble your future RE-20 away!

Thank you! I use SE Caster for encoding. It's free.
Thank You for replying. Also can you let me know the eq setting you have done in your software.

How will I use stereo tool in SECaster. I have used it on Azuracast earlier. Also if there is any option using it in radio dj
@@intelshibu I think you copy it to the plugins folder of SE Caster. Can't be used with RDJ, unfortunately.
Yes the more money you spend the better the microphone. Better to make your podcast sound good with good quality audio.
So k688 is better than tank 3?
I think so, BUT what do your ears think?
@@RadioDJDude I think the same, tank 3 has better build but for audio definitely k688
The RE 20 sounds the best. But that’s my opinion.
Like I said, it wasn't a fair fight. 😀
@@RadioDJDude Yep 😁👍🏻

Yes best sounding mic but 4 to 5 hundred dollars.
