Hola! This is my 3rd attempt making this video. Lots of technical and camera troubles including one where i didn't have my mic on the whole time.
This episode is a request from a few viewers to make a strum switch replacement tutorial. Hopefully this fulfills!
I forgot to mention what to do with the PCB files after you download them from github, so you can go to OSHPark or JLCPCB or PCBWay etc, chuck in the zip and order as many as you want. The minimum is usually 5-10. Heavy vouch for OSHPark; their turnaround time is insane!
I got 6 guitars in the oven for release on Etsy, so be on the lookout for that. I need to save up for my trip to Tennessee with some cool people. Might upload a travel vlog or smth like i did for previous meetups on my other channel. We'll see.

Hi! First of all, nice video. On the other hand, noob question: i can tell there're 2 holes for pins but all the switches i can found are 3-pinned. Are there 2-pinned switches and 3-pinned switches? Ty in advance.

It's the controller for Guitar Hero Warriors of Rock, aka GH WoR. I call those guitars WoRtars. I get the confusion tho!
Enjoying your vids man. Looking into modding my guitars now. My main is an xbox 360 WT. Do you have a PCB that will work for that one? Been looking at your designs and measuring the hole spacing vs the screws on my guitar. Mine seems to be closest to your WT_GH5_WII, but doesnt seem quite right. The holes in the corners appear to be farther apart than in the gerber, about 47mm. Also there are two square holes where springs loosely attach the stock pcb to the strum bar. I see the squares on the gerber, they seem to be in the right spot. Do the boards come with that square hole when ordered from OSH? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Can send a pic of my guitar if needed.
Hey! Thanks for letting me know. I forgot to update the repo with the fixes in place. Go ahead and redownload and purchase the PCBs again. Sorry about the inconvenience.
I haven't noticed any issues with the springs being at the incorrect distance, but i did go ahead and fix it just to make sure they're as good as stock.

Have you hear of a solution for a better spring system for the strum bar, I have a ps3 GH5 guitar and it seems that the springs don’t return the bar to the center so it can hold down the switch’s a bit
a gh5 guitar with springs? never heard of that! does the sticker on the back have a Band Hero logo? If not it might be a World Tour guitar. That does have springs.
So my guitar hero 5 controller is having strum bad issues it basically sticks to one side of the other while strumming and doesn’t snap back to center is this a bad switch issue or something else ?
Could just be that the plastic strum bar is old and got sticky. Doesn’t sound like a switch issue, since the switches don’t get stuck. Might also be that something got loose inside. Either way I’d get inside there and take a look
