- I went to a small pond after a rainstorm and tried my luck for some Rainbow trout. The action was fast and I caught more fish on a dry fly than I have have before! Most of the fish were small, but managed to hook into a couple decent fish. As well as a bonus Brook trout!

So sick on the dry fly!! Would love to see some small stream action of you using the dry. I love using hoppers in the summer!
I’ll do a lot more stream fishing later in the year. During the summer I focus on the higher lakes and ponds that are only accessible a few months out of the year. But I’ll try some hopper fishing before it gets to cold for sure!

Dude u crushed those trout, hey try a brown butter sauce next time, u add a little sage, butter and pecans, let the pecans cook until it makes a brown butter sauce, it's amazing with trout

try cooking the fish hotter and faster. you will get the skin crispy and you will probably change your mind. floppy rubbery skin is definitely not great to eat. try it, the crispy tail is the best part when you do it right
