I'd noticed another car that had the 3.5 gear in place of the 5th. I understand why it's used, especially on short, tight courses like this. What I don't understand is the gear placement. Why not use 4th for 3.5 and 5th for 4th? Is it in the place of 5th because it's easier to shift like a dog leg setup where reverse is where 1st usually is and 1st is where 2nd goes and so on making the shifting a better pattern.
Toyota AE86 Corolla Levin GT-APEX is still a Hachi-Roku. The title or description says nothing about Trueno models. I really never was a big fan of the Levin, which was a very short time, until I saw the 3 door hatchback version. The Levin front seems so right with that body style. I know a lot of people are fans of pop up headlights but I don't see what's so great about pop ups. I'd rather have a Levin HB than a Trueno HB. I'm sure I could find one cheaper than a Trueno as well.
70号車の終盤ミッション３速が壊れるというトラブルの中2位を勝ち取るのも中々すごい事なんだよな・・・。後ろにスペシャリストの土屋さんが駆る86号車が居たというのに・・・！5号車と70号車の攻防戦といいホントに熱いレースだった。
他の参加者も勿論スゴイけど、鎌田さんは作り手としても乗り手としてもハチロクを知り尽くしてるんだなぁ
トップ争いの他車は何かしらトラブルを抱えたのに、テックアート号はノントラブルで走りきってるし
ドライビングを見ても３速→３．５速→４速へのシフトアップもすごいスムーズ
