"We cling to our own point of view, as though everything depended on it. Yet our opinions have no permanence; like autumn and winter, they gradually pass away."

When we are one with everything, complete undifferentiated consciousness is attained, vice versa.

When we as Atman - our undifferentiated consciousness - are one with everything as Brahman - the ultimate undifferentiated reality - we begin to understand enlightenment

Thank you brother, an excellent illumination once again, I know the pieces fit caus I watched them fall away ✊🏽 How many thousands of years have a plethora of mystics been hammering through the craniums of the masses trying to explain this simple fact in every language and every which way, yet still the giant sleeps and argues with itself with anger and violence. The world is lucky to have a messenger such as yourself that simplifies the great works for all to ingest, well those that crave the fruits of peace and oneness anyway, thank you bro 🙏

The path goes like this: first you apply discrimination (viveka) up to the point to realize the one reality in which there is only consciousness and then, no discrimination is possible because everything is That, including you.

Maya is not pure illusion. But illusion is a function of maya. It is innate property of it. Measurement, differentiation, conditioning and bias is all of its functions. It's not an object but it's built into functions itself. That's what I experience it like.

I feel that Taoism is the most practical path. It works with systems within the body that are built in by nature. It's knowledge comes from direct experience. Not books.

Neti neti - another interpretation relates to self inquiry, hence when you investigate what you are, or what That is (I am That), you look at the world and ALL its elements with this attitude “not this not that” meaning “this is not it, that’s not it”, and you practice it until you “touch” something that you recognize as “alien”. And this “something” is essentially a no-thing.
But of course all interpretations turn out to be equally valid.

May we embody those teachings! This is where we originate from, we distanced so much, we gain the experience of life, we experienced the shadow, now we know we can't be the shadow, so the opposite pole is the source, so we must be divine. All the confusion is caused by the fact that we don't fully embrace our divine origins, we don't believe we are worthy of such a holy bringing. Yes, we are!

Alright! Knowledge seems as our prison and our way out. Neti neti confusion, deception thing . And how does it matter really, as it makes just all rubbish food for thought to feed the hungry ghosts inside. The fun part is to enjoy the process of collecting and feeding our beast from a distance (I owe it to the spiritual practise), to lighten up our existence, to radiate healing light for the World, as Jason asks gracefully🙏🤗🍔❤we may try to contribute to the updated human Ching of transformation and conscious evolution

I think he’s. . And I’ll fumble. He’s talking about just” being”. Not expecting this outcome or that. Allowing yourself to accept what is at that moment. Not fighting it and going along with it. Cliche as it is. He’s talking about being in the present moment. 😂

Well said! The word I see most in Zen to describe ‘separation between this and that’ is ‘discrimination’. I find it interesting that exactly the same term (discrimination) is used as a technical term applied in pattern recognition and perceptual artificial neural networks.

Thank you for this helpful insight. It points to, for me, the over-rated value we sometimes give to silence, at the price of an under-rated value for stillness. Stillness = still point too, from my experience. Stillness can and does exist even when silence is absent.

  • @geordiegill5388

Hi Jason. Once again I want to start by saying thanks for sharing your knowledge of the wide range of ancient eastern teachings that you have. It is interesting how they overlap from teaching base to teaching base, ancient text to ancient text, one region of the east to another region of the east, one time period to another time period. This is no surprise to me as the clear view of what is has always been there from the beginning and it is no surprise that there has always been men and women in all the ages of people that would work to open themselves up to it. And, no matter what region or time or culture that comes through even though they had to work within the receptive framework of each to express what they experienced when they experienced the clarity of the mindless state. It is in the translation from the mindless state to the minded state that things get difficult and where all the variations in the teachings arise.
So thank you for sharing all those variations and what they mean to you. That said, I often find myself loosing interest as each ancient teaching is touched upon and compared to the other. At times like that I find myself wanting to hear more about what your own experience has been relating to these teachings. For example, this episode started out strong talking about the still point then drifted to talk about non-differentiation as it has been expressed through at least two other teachings, if not more. I agree that it takes a practice of non-differentiation to begin to find the still point but the still point itself ...... well that's something different, without non-differentiation, yes, but much much more. Being fully non-differentiated is required to enter the still point but once there it ceases to be about non-differentiation.
So I find that I am very interested in what your own experience within the still point is and still don't really know what that has been.
As always, my best to you and thank you for what you do.
