My first time using the Tig welder, From Harbor Freight. Titanium 200

Won’t tig weld aluminum if it’s a titanium ultimate 200. tig welding aluminum requires ac current. The ultimate 200 is a dc current inverter machine. Aluminum will oxidize before you can accurately add wire to the puddle. Get the spool gun attachment 😊

@@DavidFloer I been researching this since I found it. Alternating current destroys the oxidation layer on aluminum while tigging. Dc doesn’t. I found it neat so figured I’d pass it on. I haven’t even begun to tig weld 😂

Since you are attempting to weld aluminum using dc, consider using 100% helium shielding gas. It works much better, but is much more expensive.

Now try with tig just as one can weld aluminum. I can make the 200 machine if it works for tig or not thanks.
