Obviously that is not how you would setup the F-Control gain structure. Set the channel slider as you would any audio mixing console to the '0' (zero) position first (about three quarters the way up in it's travel), then set the trim level as required by the source. If you need to pan that channel, press the Trim-Pan button and adjust as needed. To make adjustments during the take, adjust the channel slider, that is what it is there for. Trim is a coarse (gain) adjustment and should not need to be retouched once set. The slider provides a fine (gain) adjustment used for the live mix. The F-Control is a very viable solution to Live mixing requirements IMO for cart or table top operation. Built adequately, smartly designed (if not a bit small) and priced reasonably. Zoom is providing very good products and solutions in this market space.
Hi.. I will tell you the set up that i has it and i need your help.. @@nickhuston4510 Hello, I sent you my question via e-mail and I have not found the answer yet. I hope you will not ignore and reply when you can. Thank you.
7:12 WTF? if you switch from pan to trim mode and touch the pot you lose your trim and have to pot it quickly to get back to where you were before? This is an AWEFUL feature!
Thanks fir the video gotham but please give me the demonstration of that “ if I will connect the zoom f8 to yamaha sound mixer !! Is it possible?? IF yes how it can be done??”
Hi Tarun, the Yamaha mixer does not have enough outputs to be able to send individual tracks to the Zoom F8. It is designed to do an analog stereo mix down and to send ISO tracks to a computer. The best you could do is send the aux outputs and stereo outputs to the F8 and get 4 isolated channels. Another mixer with direct or insert outs would be a better choice to use with the F8 or getting the Zoom FRC8 to use as a control surface. I hope this is helpful.
Thanks. This answered some of the most important questions I had about the device.
