Hey y’all. Just want to say thank you. Thank you for your content, for your travels, for Daisy, and for sharing with us. What I love about your content is how you beautifully transition between your shots and video. The transition is smooth and not too fast. I know and understand what I’m looking at. The music choices are excellent, too. Your choice fits and is not loud or out of place. I love the voice overs. They explain and inform at a great pace. It’s not hurried. I love the sit down explanation y’all do on camera intro and throughout your videos. I love Daisy. She’s adorable 🥰. And I love the potty-mouth outtakes, because I’m sure that’s what you’d hear driving with me. Thank you for your content and don’t change a thing, please.
The big attraction in this video is that You make it with such a lot of fun. In terms of commercial strategy, it makes all the difference. In any business, I love well humored customers to smoothly transmit them prices. A bottle of good portuguese wine is the very best friend.
Interesting that they went a different route with the generator.. would have loved to see frameless double pane windows as an option, but loving the 325G!
Man, I'm a fairly happy owner of a Reflection and I have to say, if I worked for Grand Design I'd be embarrassed to show that solar wiring job. C'mon man. It doesn't take a lot to just tidy that mess up.
Great reviews, guys. I like the second one better, but like yall's would need a dually. Really stepping up the toy haulers, a lot of appeal there. Ya'll keep up the great videos. God bless and stay safe on your travels.
We are looking into the 325G, there is not a lot of actual reviews from owners, but I do see reviews from 350G owners that they are having issues with towing. They are saying the only way to run with a SXS is to make sure you back it in and full water tanks, otherwise it will swing down the road. Has anyone else experienced driving the 325G with a SXS in the back?
Very nice presentation. However after seeing my bucket list video and others have issues with this line for me this is a unit to avoid. I take it one step farther and say if GD has to put in an steel or aluminum wall and roof support on the inside of the open space theme......I call that a red flag indicating to me of potential issues down the road. Definitely not a full time rig at all. Just my thoughts. Still thanks for doing the video I enjoyed it.
Chad, any update on the Volta System? I'm trying to figure out which would be more cost efficent, adding solar with batteries or getting a Volta System?
We're anxious to get a Volta Power System video out also! We're still working out a few bugs with them on our prototype, then we'll definitely be producing a video! 😊 ⚡️ I wish I could say what this system will cost in the after-market, but it's not even available anywhere at this time to compare, and it might be several months before it is. So, if you're looking to get a system soon, you might need to go a more traditional route.
Would definitely prefer the 415G to have an east/west bed option and 12/13ft garage to open the kitchen . Seems tight in the kitchen between the counter tops .
Those rigs might be nice, but they sure limit where you can go camping. I can't see where they would be any fun trying to drive down secondary roads and get into gas stations. Just too big.
Not anytime soon. 30 gallons of gas, supplying about 4500 watts of power (constantly) would last about 30 hours (estimated based on what we saw with our own testing). That's 135 Kilowatt hours. A 100Ah 12v lithium battery supplies 1200 watt hours (1.2KWh). But, about 20% is lost to conversion (inverter), so let's round up to 1KWh. So, it would take 135 of those lithium batteries to supply the same amount of energy as 30 gallons of gas. Energy storage technology just isn't there yet.
So your a big time momentum person. So not sure how long ago but you went through a 21g travel trailer toy hauler. so how did you like that? that is what me and the wife would like.
As a recent purchaser of the 415, the baby stove and small microwave is about our only complaint. But we do use an air fryer often so maybe we won't miss a larger stove. Time will tell.
This is going to upset some people out there..Aerospace background..5 ft 6 inch 150 pound guy..I could rip any interior wall in a momentum out with my bare hands.. I was excited to see a 397th.. Guessing you get where I am headed without saying it...
Sorry there is absolutely no way I would ever buy a Grand Design ! There is another TH-camr just got his Momentium back from Grand Design after having 17 cracks welded on his frame !
Any time you make a lot of something there will be a certain percentage with one issue or another. We've had plenty. All manufacturers have issues. In fact that frame that was welded was likely made by lippert and they are used in a ton of different manufacturers builds. Not an excuse... just the way things are. I think the key is that it sounds like GDRV took care of the issue.
Some nice new touches in these builds that I hope are extended to the entire Momentum line. Really glad to see them ditch Onan and go with the Yamaha 6kW setup (though I'd still prefer yours! 😂). Looking forward to seeing them in Hershey along with the 410, and hope Tara gets back on her feet soon cuz the road beckons!
@@ChangingLanes Each manufacturer spec’s their frames from Lippert and thus each one has their unique problems. Grand Design specifications are aluminum and steel to save weight and cost. We are on the Riverstone forum and no one has ever complained about broken frames. Years back DRV had a rash of broken frames but they fixed the problem .
GD should be ashamed of what they did to a friends trailer. Bought brand new from GD dealer in CA. Slide is swintech, a total piece of junk. Furthermore, the trailer has been used a total of 4 times - it is 2 years old. Been in the GD shop for many months because the skide will not work properly. It might cone out, and if it does there is a high probability it will not come back in. It has two motors that operate the slide. They will not stay in sync or even operate at all much of the time. GD basically told my friend that its too bad and he is on his own. Absolutely no commitment to stand behind their piece of junk. Want a reliable slide - buy Jayco. I personally have an Eagle that we usually travel with our friends together. My 5th wheel slides have NEVER given me any issues. His have never worked properly. GD should be ashamed.
🤩 We passed y’all today on the road, it was like seeing celebrities in the real world. Safe travels!
Not us this time.. 😊 Must have been a cool rig though! 😉 Safe travels to you too!
Chad move the Genset to under and behind the last axle makes more room for storage upfront
Possibly us, I10?
Love the 12 volt fridge. Game changer for remote camping.

Thanks again for the invite for yet another exciting video. Hope Tara recovers soon as well. Happy Motoring...

They really are stepping up for the toy haulers ! Beautiful ❤
Very nice wish they would have had one at the Greensboro RV show.
You guys are AWESOME. I hope Tara feels better soon. Love from Thailand.
Love the new models GDRV is coming out with! Great tour!
Happy to see the “big” manufacturers acknowledging us west coast Glamis and desert customers. Definitely looking at GD for non-garage.
Thanks for the great reviews!👍🏻
Awesome. Thanks for sharing
Nice Floorplan in both units.
Get well Tara! Glad you could join remote. :) Great video! We love to see new rigs even though we love our setup.
Can't wait for the travel videos like in good old times😉
Last week was a travel video.. 👍🏼 th-cam.com/video/9--D0TgOjkY/w-d-xo.html We generally mix it up. 😊
Some positives with the 415 floorplan, and I get there is a certain price point GD is shooting for, but it seems like they are cutting corners now.
thanks so much for filming in depthrltours ... I don't think either of these fit our unique needs but very cool 😊
Hey Chad... here's a word for you: Spatchcock. You can spatchcock a small turkey, turkey breast or chicken in that RV oven.
Nice! We would prefer an east/ west bed option and large oven otherwise the 415g might be our next coach!…
We'll be at the Hershey RV show
On the Gdrv website it doesn’t show a loft on this floor plan, do you know if it does have a loft or not?
Man, I'm a fairly happy owner of a Reflection and I have to say, if I worked for Grand Design I'd be embarrassed to show that solar wiring job. C'mon man. It doesn't take a lot to just tidy that mess up.
2023 And the 27 KLR TY
Sending love to Tara!

This unit does not need the three axel tires on the tow?
The 415 needs a dually... The 325 could be towed with a one ton SRW fine in most cases.
Enjoyed the reviews. Seems they make a well-built rig. You almost have me considering a Momentum over a Class A. Happy travels!

Thanks for sharing 🎉 what keep gas smell out of camper why your traveling with bike 4 wheeler
Vents in the garage end.
Please see: changinglanesrv.com/faq/?Display_FAQ=4593
Not sure how SxS compare with smell, though.
Both camper are nice air stream is build to last a life time and I also enjoy the was they look.
It kinda resembles the Desert Fox 27FS
Chad have you heard if Grand Design is trying to come up with a better solution for the frame issues maybe a better design or frame reinforcement?
Would definitely prefer the 415G to have an east/west bed option and 12/13ft garage to open the kitchen . Seems tight in the kitchen between the counter tops .
With upgrading your axles from 7,000 lbs to 8,000 lbs does that me the frame and body can handle the extra weight?
Yes. the sticker on the side says 21,000 GVWR. 👍🏼
2023 Dutchmen voltage 4225 has a bigger bedroom with slide and beautiful wood work. Not knocking GD just my opinion . Thanks for sharing Chad

Will solar panels and lithium batteries replace the generators in the future?

I noticed something…. No more glass in the showers?! 🤔
Probably a good move.

We toured one in 2018.. 👍🏼 th-cam.com/video/QCJWegNyGQI/w-d-xo.html
Please change the D-Rings. That’s what made me go with a Fuzion.
Nice video. That wiring though drives me nuts. Maybe Chad could teach them how to do proper tidy wiring.
All that kitchen storage and a tiny stove. Man, what a missed opportunity.
As a recent purchaser of the 415, the baby stove and small microwave is about our only complaint. But we do use an air fryer often so maybe we won't miss a larger stove. Time will tell.
Hope these GD models have a new and re-designed frame.....
The 415g has the Rhinobox frame which they claim to be stronger than the standard design.
The question is! Did they fix the frame issues?
I am hoping the new Rhinobox design is as strong as they claim it is supposed to be over the conventional.
This is going to upset some people out there..Aerospace background..5 ft 6 inch 150 pound guy..I could rip any interior wall in a momentum out with my bare hands.. I was excited to see a 397th.. Guessing you get where I am headed without saying it...
So GD, why no more onan gens? 🤔
Higher output, quieter, and wireless fob are the benefits I've seen so far.
👍🇺🇲
I don't know. 90%+ of the RVers aren't going to pay $120K+ for an RV. I could afford it, cash, but wouldn't pay it.

Saw that.. Yikes! Nope! Bad Quality is the result of their Incredible Success. Luxe or nothing.
@@stevemurray2737 Yep when you build thousands you increase the risk and more failures ! Just pure logic .

You have a inspection on all new and used
You couldn't give me a grand design rv for free. Total pieces of garbage to match they're service and how they stand behind this shitty product
Still pushing the crappy workmanship and frame failure brand? Shame on you!
