@Joshua Quilliam nope it's a stock bottom end 5.9. Turbine wheel and exhaust housing selection are pretty important, but talking to guys with similar setups, it should spoolfairly decently. 2500 rpm stall converter. Should work just fine. We are about to find out😁

Kinda of a random question and maybe silly anyways I'm currently using my wife's TH-cam at the moment because my phone is destroyed at this time and wanted to ask a quick question. What is the benefits of running 5.9 electronics on a 6.7? I see a lot of guys doing it and wanted to know exactly why. I currently have an 08 mega 6.7 and I've been wanting to build it just a bit. It's so cool that I just found out recently you moved to Abington VA I live just right outside Coeburn so I'm definitely looking forward to using you guys for future work.

Hey, another good discussion to have is throttle valves or no throttle valves in the rail. I didn't realize until recently but I've seen 2 rails, one outta 1100 hp 4th gen and another outta 1500 hp 3rd gen that had the throttle valves all variably displaced into the bore of the rail. I removed them and reused the rail. A stock rail has all the throttle valves installed to the same depth. These trucks weren't subjected to stupid rp, I know the tune on the 4th gen wasn't running more than 180mpa. On anything other than hot street truck, I'm gonna remove them. I wonder how many have popped out and either trashed a connector tube or worse? Have you seen anything bad from throttle valves?????

Stock intake horn can flow way more than the intake valve can so while it is techically a restriction it won't make but very little difference in power because all you will gain is the easier flowing exhaust thru the turbine because the compressor isn't working against as much pressure. My guess is its like 1 or 2% at most.
