Another great video man! Thanks for covering the latency on the new 360. You are hitting all of the key points on these videos! And I love how fast you are cranking them out. Feel better soon!
I'll keep this short...I love, love, LOVE this tablet. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxLNmVocUk8tnSkwWIlYSNFzWRIaFTBuzS The picture quality is amazing and there are so many features that this technodino can't wait to learn! My only (very, very minor) complaint is that I ordered this in bronze and they sent me black. Yes, it should have been corrected, but we were only in country for a short period of time and I didn't want to run the risk of not getting a new one in time. I'm such a fan of Samsung Galaxy tablets that I'd rather suck it up than lose out on having it. In the big scheme of things, this rates an irritant factor of .0000000001 out of 1000. In other words, I'm not looking at the colors when I use it, so I got over it very easily.
what model of s pen did you use on the galaxy book2 360? I'm looking to buy one, if you can tell me some models that are compatible I'll be grateful! great video. Hugs from Brazil haha
HI Patrick, thanks for watching. You can use basically any s pen with it, but I'd avoid the Fold Edition S Pen, it behaves a little strange with it. It's just important that the pen you get supports wacom emr, that's what drives the s pens. You should be able to the sku for a replacement book2 pro 360 by asking for the sku via Samsung Chat, as I don't see them listed on their site. Mine came with it, so I've personally haven't had to buy one for it.
Thanks for this great video! I got the book2 pro and S8 and I really enjoy the translate feature in the air command and I'd really like to have on the book 2 pro as well. Do you know where I can find it? I'd like the same one on the S8 as it works really well. I looked for it in the Samsung App store, Google Play, Fdroid but couldn't find it anywhere. Pls help!
Hi, thanks for watching! Sadly, I'm pretty sure the option doesn't exist in anyway on the 360. Sadly, the air commands are stripped down quite a bit on it compared to galaxy tabs.
Just found your channel when looking for how to setup my Samsung Galaxy Book2 360 with my Samsung S Pen Pro. Great video session and shows capability. By any chance do you have a session, or know where I can find a session on how to setup, pair, etc my S Pen Pro with the Samsun Galaxy Book2 360. I have been trying to find some clear directions or tutorial on how to do this. Thx
You are doing awesome work I was looking out for this review specifically thank you very much, solved my doubts about Spen.. please keep on doing work like this thanks
Thanks for watching 👍 You can get by with just one. Just keep in mind that it will need to be a Bluetooth s pen to use the air gestures the tab S8 supports, such as the Spen pro. But for just regular writing, they're all basically the same, except the Fold edition s pen - it's for the Fold 3 only.
Whats the difference between Microsoft one note and Samsung notes. I have the Samsung galaxy note phone with the s pen and have always used that. And just got this laptop so do you use both? Or just stick with Samsung notes?
Hi, thank you so much for watching! I personally use S Notes exclusively now, mostly due to it being easily accessible across all of my devices, and the quick off screen memos are nice too. I feel like the S Pen is more "connected" when using S Notes as well, but that could just be me. The final main reason for me is that the latency is down to 2.8ms when using the s pen and s notes on the tab s8 ultra, and I end up writing about 75% of them on that device in particular.
Thank you so much for this video. I'm a uni student considering the new galaxy book 2 pro and this has sold me because it seems perfect for digital note taking. Keep up the good work👍
Thank you so much for the kind words and for stopping by! It's a fantastic machine for note taking, it's what I use it the most for. Between that and great battery life, it serves students very well.
Great Video, the comparison between the S-pen is helpful and I caught on to the idea of using the chin as a placeholder for your thumb but no one else thought of it until you did! so thanks for pointing it out. the latency of the Book2 is nearly on par with the TabS8 Ultra which makes me feel better for choosing this over the tablet, I can have a laptop AND a tablet as opposed to just a tablet if I went for the Tab S8
Thank you so much for watching. Yes, I think you made the right choice as well. I sort of look at like this - If you already have a nice laptop and/or whatever computer setup makes you happy, then consider the tab s8 ultra. But if you're also needing a PC of any kind, then the GB2 Pro 360 all the way. The s pen performance is amazing on it.
you have no idea how hard it is to find this type of info about the Galaxy Books haha, you're doing god's work! despite being quite late to the party, i have a quick question regarding the two laptops that i didn't find any clear answer for: are the S Pens the same one? or, well, does the S Pen from the older model still work with all functions on the newer model? (stuff like pen pressure, same improved latency, the magnetic connection to the back, etc...) keep up the great and sincere content!! :D
Hi, thank you so much for watching and for your kindness, very much appreciated. Yes, both S Pens are identical and you can use either with either machine. There's no difference at all.
@@RADERTECH thank you for answering! that's a great thing to be aware of, because not even Samsung's service for support regarding these devices know which S Pens are compatible with the Galaxy Books... thank you again, you've helped a ton ❤
Hi, thanks for watching. It comes with the s pen in the box. All galaxy book models with "Pro 360" in the name come with the s pen. The models with just "360" in the name, without the word "Pro", do not come with the s pen, thus are a bit cheaper.
Hello, you can help me. I am considering Samsung Galaxy Book Pro2 360 15 inch laptop for buying for graphics design and digital art purposes. Some complained in TH-cam reviews that 1080 is low resolution. How are the lines in drawing? Do you see the pixels at the edges? Or are they smooth? How is the overall drawing experience? How is other content like TH-cam videos or movies? Thanks you.
Hey man me and my friend recently purchased this laptop and your video was great to be able to come to a decision finally Galaxy Book 2 Pro 360 all the way ❤️
Hi, thanks for watching! No, there's no charge to the s pen for the book2 pro 360. It doesn't have the bluetooth features that the s pen that comes with the s22/s23 ultra and tab s7+/s8 lineup have. It's more like the galaxy z fold s pen, the Fold edition s pen. It doesn't take a charge as well.
Hi Carlos, thanks for stopping by! It works totally fine with Powerpoint, it has plenty of horse power for that. My only complaint is that the s pen included with the galaxy book2 pro 360 doesn't support the cool bluetooth features that the tablets get, so you can't change slides with the s pen in mid air like you can on the tabs. But otherwise, yeah, Powerpoint works great on it.
Thanks for the comment on the lower bezel. So many tech reviewers are like sheep on the "thin bezels" issue. Drives me nuts! I think it looks fine and like that it gives you something to grab when you use it as a tablet,, as you point out. Great review! I'm planning on buying the 360 but am still deciding between 15" and 13".
Thank you so much for watching, and I'm with you on the little chin that it has. I think a lot of folks just "see" stuff in videos and assume there's no rhyme or reason for it, but when you actually own the device it makes total sense. The chin is very helpful in tablet mode, it would actually suck IMHO to use it if it didn't have it, lol.
very great reviews, i actually bought the GB2 360 because of them, used one though 😁. however the unit in buying will not come with the s-pen, that's why I'm looking for second hand s-pen. but i was wondering what are the advantages\ disadvantages of buying the Tab S7 or Tab S6 s-pen to use with the GB2 360, such as pen size, latency... if any? also are there any cheaper options and how will they compare to original Samsung S-Pens that come with either thier tabs or laptops
Hi, thanks for watching! So any s pen will work fine with the galaxy boo2 pro 360. Here's a link for a replacement s epn with extra nibs - www.amazon.com/UBH-Replacement-Pointer-Samsung-Bluetooth/dp/B0B12X1HH2
Thank you so much for watching! I personally have never used a screen protector on a laptop, though that might be a good idea on this one, given that it's touch screen. I saved this comment so I can check the forums I visit to see what they recommend. The first accessory I'd get is a USB-C multiport hub, so you can connect up whatever you like. The Anker 341 (they make several models) is great and built like a tank.
Thank you for your sharing! You video is very helpful. May I know if the S Pen for the Galaxy Book2 Pro 360 the same as Galaxy Tablet S7+? I lost the pen for the 360, wonder what model should I buy?
Hi, thanks for watching! You can use the S Pen from the tab s7+, it will work fine, though none of the BlueTooth features will work on the 360. You should be able to find a replacement on Samsung's site or Amazon. You just need a regular S Spen without bluetooth features. Perhaps eBay would be good to check to.
Thank you for comparing the pen lag between the old and a new. Very very cool that the new one is better. I like that the chin is there to hold, like you said, though as an artist is very unlikely to be used - a 16:9 ratio does not make a good portrait painting. Too tall, not wide enough. Here's a question: Can the pen features be disabled at all (either in total or by application), and the pen button be assigned some other feature? I.e., most artists are going to want "alt" as a pen shortcut to select colors while painting. It really is a big deal and speeds up workflow a lot. I know on the galaxy note phones you can sometimes use the pen to do this, but sometimes you have the air command pop up menu comes up - which is incredibly annoying. It's annoying enough that if I had to, I'd ditch all of the s-pen features in favor of a permanent "alt" command. If we had 2 buttons, we'd want alt + eraser, or right click or perhaps a pop-up menu with short-cuts we define. I'm hoping to try out a stylus from a conceptd 9 laptop on this, if I can ever get the stylus order to go through. They are hard to find! It has 2 buttons and an eraser too, and it will work with the galaxy book2 360. Just have to find out how to configure the buttons. Haha, maybe one day when I have a drawing demo on my galaxy book you can link that too. Keep up the good work!
Thank you so much for watching! It sounds like Joe provided some good feedback. I took a screenshot of this to follow up further if I can find out more for you.
If it's anything like the Tablets, then yes, the popup can be disabled, but doesn't need to. The pen button and gestures will work with supported programs.
That's again an excellent review. You've recorded the screen with which app? If I'm using photoshop will I be able to record it, without drop in fps too much?
Hi Michael, thank you so much! I record everything on this laptop with the built in Samsung Screen Recorder. I like it a lot. It lets you pick mic's if you want to record your voice, it can record the system/app sounds if you want. and has some pretty cool webcam features built in if you want to record yourself along with the screen. You have the option to edit the recording once it completes as well. It's on par with most of the paid screen recorders out there.
Great review, especially on the s-pen prowess between devices! I was contemplating too much between Tab8 Ultra & GB2pro360 because of refresh rate & latency that I end up missing the pre-order😅 But compare to US, we didn't have the free monitor on preorders here in Germany so it didn't hurt much😁 After watching your review, I'm kinda leaning more on GB2pro360..but the buttery-smooth, less jittery writing on Tab8Ultra is still tempting since I wanted to use it mainly for digital notetaking in my studies..which involves a lot of writing, & I'm concerned whether this slight advantave of Tab8 Ultra in Hz & latency can reduce any strain I might face in the long run😅 Guess I really have to run to stores & feel the writing experience first. Overall, your video is so much helpful👏 Thanks!❤
Thank you so much, I'm glad it was helpful. If you're main use case is using the s pen and doing a ton of writing, I would lean slightly towards the Tab S8 Ultra, it's as good as it gets. But if you also need a PC to do PC type stuff that a tablet can't do as easily, the gb2 pro 360 is great as well, just not quite as good for writing, but very close. Both are great machines though, I think you'd be happy with either. It really comes down to the applications you intend on using and which systems they are supported on, that's the main I'd focus on really.
I pre-ordered kind of on a whim. Normally I would wait for proper reviews, but the free monitor was too enticing. Thanks for your videos. They really put my mind at ease.
I think you'll be very happy with it, the performance numbers I'm getting out of it are fantastic, and the overall experience is very polished. It's shaping up to quite a nice machine. Thank you so much for watching.
Hi, thanks for watching👍It does a better job than last year's model, but not quite as good as the tab s8 ultra. It really depends on what app you're using. S Notes for example has the option to turn off finger input, preventing drawing from your hand. You also have the Windows palm rejection toggle, of which helps some too. Sometimes I seem to have better luck with it than other times. I swear I can be doodling away for a long time without noticing palm input at all, while other times it can happen left and right. A bit frustrating. It's a mixed bag, but it is better than last year's model
Hi, thanks for watching! This is the standard s pen that comes with the laptop, it's not the Pro edition. You can use the Pro version, but the bluetooth air actions won't work on the laptop, just the regular pen functions.
@RADERTECH Thanks a lot! Yes I found this out the hard way... Do you know if I can buy this standard S Pen separately? I can only find specific pens for specific tablets/phones etc.
@@jojalopes You're welcome. It's very difficult to find, but a site called MobileFun.com seems to sell original galaxy book2 pro 360 s pens. You can also find them on ebay, but I'd be a little cautious, as there's many knock-off versions.
@RADERTECH I've gone with the Tab S7 S Pen. It seems to be the best replacement without risking eBay. One of MobileFun's Book 2 Pro 360 pens had "Tab S6 Lite" on the box in the image!
good video. Question: Do you know what the shortcut button on the back end of the pen does? I have surfed TH-cam, Samsung and Microsoft and no one knows. I'd love to be able to program it to erase like my Wacom styluses do. Thanks.
Hi Tony, thanks for watching! Yeah, it's very poorly documented, unfortunately. By default, it's just used to open up the Samsung Quick Actions panel, which lets you select from a few things. You have to have the pen tip close to the screen in order for that to work. The button functionality varies by application, so it's a little bit hit and miss with what you can with it by default. But, there are a couple apps out there that let you customize what you want it to do. Try looking for Tablet Pro and Radial Menu, they both offer extra functionality for it. Happy to help with any other questions.
Hey, great video! Thanks. One Question: is there a synchronisation between the notes app on the Book2 Pro 360 and the tablet? I own the tab S7+ and just bought the Book2 Pro 360. For me as a teacher would this be a huge game changer.
Hi, thank you so much for watching! Yes indeed, your Samsung Notes will stay synced up across all of your Samsung devices, as long as you're logged in with the same Samsung account on all of them. It's awesome, I leverage this all of the time. I'll take some quick video notes on my Fold 4 phone while picking up my kids from school, then I'll add more to the same note via the Galaxy Book2 Pro 360, then I'll use the tab S8 Ultra when it's time to use that same note while recording the video. It's a huge time saver, I love how it all stays synced up. You may notice a slight delay if you haven't used one device for a while, but after about 10 seconds or so, it'll finish syncing up and you'll be all set. Thanks for being a teacher by the way, that's so awesome, you are appreciated!
Hey Rader, thanks for your answer and your lovely words. Is this even sycend while using the devices simultaneously? For example: normally I use my Tab S7+ linked by HDMI to my beamer. But if the notes sync instantly, I could walk around with my Tab and keep the Book2 Pro connected via HDMI. Yes, you could ask why I don't use tools like Miracast, Apple TV, etc. but at my school in Germany such devices are not working, because of the standardized Wifi Settings. Therefore it's hard to find a solution for my digital lessons.
@@Munkelei You're very welcome, I'm always happy to help. I know exactly what you mean, and yes, they do indeed sync in real time, so you can effortlessly go back and forth between the devices and the notes will be synced, even the most current one you have open on either device. Here's the thing... Once you're done with whatever edit you're working on, make sure to hit the back key one time, the left arrow in the top left corner while working a S Note. When you do that, that autosaves the note for you, so that latest update will get picked up by your other devices. It might take a couple times to get used to that, but once it clicks in, it will become second nature for you. As long as both devices are logged into the same Samsung account, and both actively have any type of internet connection (mobile, wifi, etc), you'll stay up date across those devices in real time. Every once in a while when it's been a while since I've last used S Notes, say a over a week, it might take up to 10 seconds or so for all of the devices to sync up. But after that, it's basically instant.
Great video, great attitude, really appreciated. It's a shame Samsung has not resumed the sale of laptops here in Switzerland as they are starting to do in some European countries (they stopped selling laptops in Europe around 8 years ago and the last Samsung laptop I bought in 2017 had to come from the US)
Oh wow, I had no idea about this, thank you so much for sharing. That really sucks, I'm sorry they're not offered in your area. Thank you so much for watching.
Great work ! Thank you. FYI. Samsung announced March 30 Galaxy Book2 pro 360 would come with NEW Intel Arc A350M discrete gpu ! Wonder why you did not get it?🙂 👍👌🙏
Thank you so much for watching John, I appreciate you. I'm telling you, I wish that was true, because I'd be ALL over it, ha ha! I'm afraid that's still not an option, at least not here in the United States. I just hopped on Samsung's US website, it's not an option on any of the models. If it was, that would have been the one I surely snagged.
Great comparison! I need a device for my college purposes and was torn between a tablet or a laptop.. and this video with the S pen comparison, made it clear to me. I'll probably go for the galaxy book, since it's a full fledged laptop and would give me the note taking ability on the S8 tab
@@Anutosh13 Haha. You wont believe me what i did. I went to offline stores, i then thought of buying S8+ and a normal laptop instead. But, in my city only S8 and S8 ultra were available and i got so confused, i ended up buying the ipad air. And when i came to Germany for my masters, i bought the normal galaxy book 2 ( i5, 16gb) for 700 euros on black friday. I really dont know what i eventually did 😂.. it was all impulsive
For the left nav bar, yeah, thank you so much. I forgot to show that part. Sometimes I wished it would show all of the bush settings persistently, but I've grown used to it. I actually started preferring the experience on the tab s8 ultra since making this video. Thank you so much for watching, I hope you're having a great weekend 👍
@@RADERTECH No problem, your video actually gave me the last bit of info about the latency and s pen actions I needed to convince myself I wanted this device! So thank you for making such a great video, haven't seen this sorta info from anyone else so far
Great video! Thank you. Is it possible to write on the Book 2 pro 360 with the palm placed on the screen or should i keep my palm up? I am asking this in the context of tablet mode.
Hi, thank you so much for watching! Yes, you can rest your palm on the screen at the same time as writing. I recommend turning palm rejection on in the windows pen input settings, and some apps have their own palm rejection settings as well. Apps like Samsung Notes and Microsoft OneNote handle it well.
Hi, thank you so much for watching! No, I'm afraid it won't. I use the bluetooth version of the s pen from my tab s8 ultra with it quite often, and sadly none of the bluetooth features work on it. They only have that functionality baked into the Galaxy phones and tablets, but not on the laptops. You can still use the s pen pro no problem, but the bluetooth features won't do anything.
Rader, an excellent video. Thank you. I am impressed by the S Pen's performance. This is as good as on Samsung's Android tablets. The Book2 Pro 360 devices will give S8 Ultra a hard time.
Thank you so much, and sorry for the slow reply. Unfortunately, I don't have any experience live streaming, so I'm just not sure. Hopefully somebody will see this and can provide some inputs. Thank you so much for watching.
I have some questions about the laptop. So I ordered the 13.6 in the version of the pro2 360, and I was told that there is no difference in performance compared to the 15 in version. The smaller screen size theatrically means that more pixels are squeezed into the screen, making it sharper than the 15 in. Is this true? Also, when you're on tablet mode, and you're using the S pen, does the device wobble a lot and make lots of noise in a quiet setting? And one last question you got any tips on not losing the s pen? The newer models of Samsung laptops don't have an enclosure for the stylus, unlike the older model or the surface laptops where you can easily keep your stylus secure in an enclosure.
Hi. Thank you so much for watching, and congrats on your new GB2 Pro 360 coming! The 13" and 15" perform similarly, just the 15" will handle high load situations just a little better because it's larger and can dissipate heat a little more. That's common with laptops. Yes, you got - the 13" is a sharper looking screen than the 15", it has a higher pixel density die to the smaller size, so text will look sharper 👍 The s pen doesn't make any noise at all really... The only sound anyone will hear is when you're first touching the screen with it, between words, and it's minimal. It's quieter than using an Apple pencil by quite a bit. For storage, I'd probably grab a laptop sleeve and keep it in there. When using it, the strongest magnet is right on the keyboard deck on each side of the trackpad, then on the back of the panel. Both good spots. Thanks again for watching 👍
Awesome video and I love the comparison of the devices with the sPen. I was originally torn between the tab S8 Ultra and the GB 2 pro 360 15.6" i7, well I chose the burgundy GB 2 pro 360 because I needed a new laptop to replace my older HP 17.3'. My burgundy GB 2 pro 360 won't arrive until 4/26, so I've been watching videos and reviews on this device. I initially decided to wait on a new tablet, and the GB 2 pro 360 would offer me the best of both worlds and the burgundy color matches my S22 ultra. I look forward to more commentary on your channel 👏🏻💯
Thank you so much for watching and for the kind words 👍 Congrats, the gb2 pro 360 is a great machine, I'm sure you'll love it. Give it a couple days to get settled in, there's already quite a few updates coming out for it, including a firmware/bios update that got release late yesterday. Once all the updates get installed, it runs quite well. The burgendy option looks awesome, right along with a matching s22 ultra, you're all set!
New subscriber here, started getting Samsung since the beginning, still have my S2, s3, note 3, 4 etc, daily z fold 3, watch 4, to bad I wasn’t subscribed before and missed the preorder ha ha, would the s pen pro work in this?
Thank you so much! You have tons of Samsung experience, that's awesome! I'm not 100% certain if the s pen pro would work well on here, but I'm pretty sure it would at least work. Of course the bluetooth features wouldn't exist, but since it's waycom emr tech at it's heart, it shouldn't have any problems being used on this laptop. The included s pen works quite well also, and almost all other waycom pens with a nice soft tip should be just fine. Thanks again for watching, I'm really glad to have someone with your Samsung experience here.
Hi, thanks for watching. I'm afraid the S Pen Pro, or any S pen for that matter isn't compatible with the Flex Alpha2. All of the "Flex" line of machines uses MPP pens. MPP and Wacom EMR aren't compatible with each other. However, you can find plenty of MPP tech pens on Amazon for around $30.
Thanks for comparing the two. How is the latency of the S pen on OneNote? I know on my tab s8 ultra there is a slight delay but curious to see if there is a delay on the galaxy book2 pro 360?
Thank you so much for watching👍 The latency isn't too bad, but not near as good as s notes. It's "okay", and does feel a tad more responsive than the tab s8 ultra, but not by much. The problem I'm facing is palm rejection :( It's terrible in OneNote on both last year's 360 and this year's, even after trying to tweak the settings some. I feel like it would be a pretty good experience if it wasn't for this one main issue. Maybe it's me, I'm not a OneNote expert by any means, and perhaps there's a setting I'm overlooking specifically for the Windows version of OneNote on the 360. On the tab S8 ultra though, it seems to be pretty good without me having to do anyting.
I like the graphite color. Question, is your fan noise annoying and always popping on? I have one and not having that issue. I adjusted the performance settings to my usage. But just saw a crazy review.
Thanks for stopping by and watching. I love the graphite too, a little more than last year's Mystic Navy. My fan is totally fine, it rarely even comes on unless I'm pushing it. If it is on, it's quiet enough that I don't even notice it. They only roared a lot the first few hours while doing the initial updates, but that happens with all laptops really. I do the same with performance settings as well, usually I'm on the Optimized mode and it seems great, but sometimes I mix it up. Sounds like the reviewer is basing fan noise on the first few hours, instead of using it for a while before making the review. That's why my review isn't even out yet, not until this weekend. These laptops need to be used for a good week minimum before speculating on them. I'm just assuming that's what happened though, perhaps he or she got a bad unit. Thanks again for stopping by!
Wow just thanks for the detailed comparison and the link to the channel of this artist! yeah this chin is an eyesore but i may change opinion when i get mine. if i keep it, i will probably source a 2nd SSD drive later for expansion but i might start with the micro sdcard first
Thanks for another visit Joe, and I appreciate the help you've been providing folks 👍 You'll most likely forget about the chin shortly after getting it. It looks worse in the videos, it's not so terribly bad, ha ha.
If there's no chin, then the palm deck in front of the keyboard, and the touchpad, have to get much smaller. Plus probably smaller battery. It's the reason all 16:9 laptops have such big chins.
@@AdamJRichardson lol, with that chin and lost space, you could fit a 16:10 screen while keeping the same chassis, keyboard and touchpad size:-) but yeah i will probably get used to it, 15.6" is a nice screensize
Hi, thanks for watching! I've never used that particular machine, but my gut would say no, it won't be. Not trying to sound like a Samsung fanboy, just the wacom emr tech that the s pen uses pretty much crushes everything else out there. It's probably pretty close though, pen input has been getting better and better in recent years.
I know that this question is really late, but I just now bought a book2 360, and I was wondering if it was compatible with the S Pen Pro, I can't find anything online and I'm not sure if the galaxy book2 360 and the pro version are even able to use air gestures. Any help would be much appreciated!
Hi, thanks for stopping by. So technically, the s pen pro is compatible with it. But, you won't get any of the air actions or any of the cool extra stuff that you normally get when connected to galaxy device that supports air gestures. I'd just use the s pen that comes with it, the functionality will be the same. If you didn't get a pen with yours, any of the tablet s pens will work fine with it - basically an stylus that uses wacom emr tech, like the wacom one will work with it.
Hey Rader, another great video and hope you feel better soon. Have you had a chance to test Multi Control. I heard it gives you the ability to control your Tab S8 with your laptop keyboard and mouse plus seamless file transfer across the devices. If you have, I would love to see a video on it. Cheers.
GREAT suggestion, and no I have not tried it out yet. That is something I must absolutely cover in the full review, thank you so much. I just saved this off, thank you so much!
Hi, thanks for watching! Yes, it does indeed support the s pen, but the non-pro version doesn't come with one. It won't work with S Pen Fold edition, but will work fine with all others. I'd recommend picking up the S Pen Pro, or you can also buy the standard S Pen that comes with the GB2 Pro 360 directly from Samsung on their site - this one will magnetically stick to the laptop lid. There's plenty of 3rd party pens that will work with it as well.
Hi, thanks for watching! It's just regular non-bluetooth version s-pen. This site seems to have quite a few OEM replacements available - www.mobilefun.com/official-samsung-blue-s-pen-for-samsung-galaxy-book-2-pro-360-89270. You can also use any of the s pens for the galaxy tablets, they all work fine with it.
Hi, thanks for watching! No, I don't think that's a thing at all. It all depends on what software you're using, some apps support customizing the pen button, but it's on an app by app basis. For Windows use, I don't think right-click is available with any pen. That would be nice though, for sure.
Thank you so much, I really appreciate you watching! No, no difference at all. The performance and latency are exactly the same. I would say that the overall tablet and writing experience is a bit better on the 13" due to it being easier to hold and handle in general. But otherwise, exactly the same.
Very good and helpful video! Thanks for it! I want to buy the galaxy book 2 pro 360 for my university. I need a Laptop/Tablet as a computer science student and your videos helps me a lot for my decision. You have my subscription :) greetings from germany!
Hey, can you make a separate video of laptop's and S pen performance in photoshop... Like some Line strokes, brush strokes, GPU performance n support... That would be really helpful
Thank you so much for watching. I'll try my best to include some of this in the full review, but please keep in mind that I'm about as artistic as a turtle, so my inputs might not be the best out there.
Thank you @@RADERTECH..looking forward for the video.... Speaking from a designers perspective.. We need a bit of GPU juice while "manually rendering" sketches n art work... And if PS does not get that GPU juice... It just stutters n kills the whole art work process
Hey is it possible for you make an exclusive art vid (it doesn't have to be elaborate art) with the book2 360 ?? I just want to check how it would be in the long run, thanks!
Thank you so much for watching. No, I haven't had any real issues. In all of the years I've used S Notes, among all of the devices, the only issue I've had a handful of times is one of my devices not being connected to Samsung Cloud in S Notes, so it wasn't getting the latest notes. It was always a quick fix by going into settings and just clicking one button to reconnect and sync. The syncing between devices is basically instant. That hasn't happened in a couple years for me personally though, so it's a rare thing. The moment I finsih up video notes on one device, they're ready to be worked on any of my others. It works really well.
can you check the parallax issue( some people call ) when pen is near the edges, acer conceptd 7 had really bad, its was not accurate near the corner .. what is temp of the surface of the laptop top and bottom say in summer with 30 degree room ? does cpu gets frequently thermal throttle ?
Thank you so much for watching! The pen input is flawless, edge to edge, you won't have any problems using it near the edge. As far as thermals, I've only pushed it real hard a couple times during benchmarking so it's too early to tell. So far I haven't noticed any major thermal throttling when running them.
All in all, considering I have other Windows machines if needed, Tab S8 Ultra. It's what I reach for the most. They're both great though, so I'd suggest making the decision based more on what applications you use day to day. Thanks for watching 👍
What pen are you using? I've already bought my second s-pen today and neither one of their buttons do anything, no matter what I try. I'm using a Book2 360 that's NOT a pro.
Hi, thanks for watching! Did you happen to buy 2 S Pen Pro's? If so, to get the button working, you'll need to connect the s pen via bluetooth, then the button will start working. All other s pen's should work fine as well, except for S Pen Fold Edition. That one won't work at all. Happy to help further if this doesn't work for you.
@@RADERTECH Thank you very much, but no, I've bought 2 different "normal" S-pens and as it turns out, it is a driver issue that might be far more complicated to resolve than just getting a new pen, since Samsung doesn't seem to make updating a driver particularly easy. I'll have to go have it checked out, but thank you regardless!
Not so great. Intel 12th gen gets pretty darn hot, I'm not too impressed with the thermal on the book2 pro 360. They're a lot better on the latest 13th gen model, but a pretty big margin too. There's a couple test videos on my channel that show the thermal difference. Thanks for stopping by!
Also I was looking at that samsung book 2 pro 360 15.6" with the i5 1240p and with 16gb of ram with 512gb at $1049 Canadian dollars for me to take notes at school, would you still suggest me getting that model config?
Being 100% honest - I'd just keep the one you have. If you got in on the pre-order deals I might suggest otherwise, but not now that that's ended. They were giving $350 trade-in for the Gear S3 watch that you could easily find on Amazon for $100, but now they're only offering $100 for it. I'd wait until next year or maybe Black Friday time when it goes down in price a lot for a bit. Thank you so much for watching.
Ok because I just got the last one and I'm still learning how to use the one. I have to be honest I wish they can give mini lessons on using the laptop.
You sure can, but there are a couple steps. First you need to install the "Android subsystem for Windows with Amazon Appstore" service, it's in the Microsoft Store. Then you can download Android apps, including the Play Store right from Amazon. They're working on making this a more seamless process soon, it's still in the early stages. Thank you so much for watching 👍
@@RADERTECH thank you. I made some bad experience with the last year's version recently. The screen cracked while holding it with one hand. the laptop has been in use less than a month.
It comes with it, but you can use any of the s pens for the galaxy s line of tablets, and they all work great for it. They can be found all day on Amazon, and include extra nibs/tips. Don't get the Fold edition s pen though, it doesn't work well with it. Thanks for watching, and my apologies for the super slow reply.
That's so awesome, congratulations! Once you get it, please let it do all of it's updates, it will take a couple days to get them through them all. Once completely updated, this machine runs real nice. But the first couple of days, you'll hear the fans a lot and the battery life won't be the greatest. Once those updates are done, it's all good :)
@@Cezar.Vrinceanu Nice! Also keep the Lenovo Yoga 9i in mind, that's another great machine for developers as well. Thanks for watching and commenting, I appreciate you.
@@RADERTECH I will also consider Lenovo, I saw that Dell xps I think, it's good, but I have no idea, just what I saw on youtube, but I will choose between Samsung and Lenovo better, I appreciate you and much success in working on which you do.
Hi Beth, thanks for stopping by, I appreciate you! It magnetically attaches to the outside like on their tablets. You can attach it to the lid or keep it attached down by the trackpad when the lid is open - this is where the strongest magnet is. I wish it fit inside the laptop, but then again it would make the pen smaller and less round, so I guess there's pros and cons with it. I'd recommend picking up a carrying sleeve that has room for the s pen.
Thanks for watching! I need to look over the i7-1255U chip a little more to comment, but my gut tells me it would fall right in the middle of last year's 360 and this year's book2 pro 360.
@@RADERTECH I was wondering because it sounds like a good integrated screen recorder, and maybe I could install it in my laptop since Windows doesn't include any other than Xbox one.
@@curiousbat5368 You'll find the Samsung Screen Recorder in the Microsoft app store, but after you install it, it will only run on Samsung devices. There's a few other free screen recorders in the app store, but not quite as tightly integrated as Samsung's. They did a real nice job with it. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for this, it would be really great if you can try Photoshop on this. And also let us know if build quality is good enough for regular use for sketching and painting. As i have heard people breaking these. Thanks!
Thank you so much for watching! Photoshop works fine with it, I'll try to get a video about it soon. I linked an artist in the description that uses Photoshop with last year's 360, she does some amazing artwork with it. Though I'm not an artist, I take a ton of notes using the s pen and have never felt like the screen would get damaged or anything like that. The panel is super this, so you just have to be a little careful.
Hi Eric, my apologies for the slow reply. Ohhh, that's a tough one. If you're okay with the 720p webcam from last year's and don't need the latest and greatest chipset, I'd probably just with last year's model for $999. There's just not that big of a difference between the 2. Don't get me wrong, the newer version is better - just not $550 better IMHO. Thank you so much for watching.
@@RADERTECH You're welcome. In your opinion, would you keep to last years model at 999$ vs this years model at $1,600? This is of course the 15 inch, 1tb storage, 16bg ram model. I am referring to the BestBuy deal
@@usa4life71 I'd personally go with last year's model. By the way, your question inspired me to do a video about this. A quick last year's model vs this year's model, considering the price difference. I'm going to shoot it after work tonight, thanks for the great question and what turned out to be a great video idea!
@@RADERTECH As always, I can get an external cam at 1080p or better resolution to make up for the lackluster interal 780p one. Plus a nice monitor or two and the external cam would be $550 or less. Still comes out to the same price, if not cheaper, as this years model in terms of price. Not bad. You think that's a better value than this years one, even though there are some drawbacks to last years model vs this years?
Thank you so much watching! Yeah, I'm aware of basic built in screenshot recorder, but it pales in comparison to Samsung's if you're in the Samsung ecosystem. It let's you annotate on the fly and it's instantly shared between all of your devices, it's pretty awesome. The part I really like is the built in screen recorder. It has no time limit, can record system sounds as well as your voice, and you can have yourself on the screen with the 1080p webcam. It even lets you change the colors of mouse clicks and right clicks so folks can see what you're doing easily. I use it in a lot of these videos, it's been very helpful.
@@RADERTECH Sounds great! I'm a Samsung user myself and have ordered the 15inch Galaxy Book2 Pro 360. Can't wait for it to arrive and take a look at these features. 👌
@@sohamparekh That's so awesome, they included a lot of useful tools that actually aren't bloat-ware, imagine that, lol! It really is a nice machine, I hope you enjoy it.
Why are you not mentioning the universal 360 model touch issue. More than 50 percent laptop delivered have screen issues I bought a samsung galaxy book pro but they delivered defective product with touch screen issue. The samsung team cancelled my replacement after being approved. The authorised service centre keep harassing me for DOA certificate for the defective laptop and due to this i have to visit the service centre more than 10 days. They take 9 working days after the laptop was submitted to the service center for giving the DOA certificate.
I haven't mentioned it because I've never experienced such a thing, nor do I know of anyone else that has. I've had all 4 generations now, they've all had flawless touch inputs. Sorry to hear you've had troubles with it.
Please tell should I buy I am an engineering student I want something that can replace my notebook I want a tablet something like for note-taking is Samsung Galaxy book 2 pro good for note taking or Samsung Galaxy s8 ultra?
Hi, thanks for watching. They're both great for note taking, but of the 2 I slightly prefer the tab S8 Ultra, mostly because of the ergonomics. Both are great though, and if you're needing your device to also run Windows apps, then def go with the 360, as the note taking experience isn't that much different between the 2.
I couldn't agree more, 100%. It's very limited in what it can do in comparison to that. I feel the difference every time I switch between this machine and tab s8 ultra, the s8 ultra is just a much more polished experience with less lag. But for a laptop, it's pretty good. Thanks for stopping by and watching!
From a CPU and DDR5 memory speed perspective, it would be a slam dunk for both of these apps. However, both are very GPU intensive and really hunger after a dedicated GPU. Given the light dedicated GPU requirements I'm seeing for both apps, it would probably be fine as long as the work wasn't overly complex. I don't much about either app, but if there's a freeware version you can point me too, I'll do a quick install and test for you. I'd need a couple files to work I'm sure for the tests to be meaningful, hopefully they come with a couple sample projects. Thank you so much for watching, happy to help further if you need more info.
Thank you so much for watching. Yeah, that will likely always be the case, due to better thermals on the 15". It has an extra fan a little more room to breath, so to speak.
I just bought a book4 pro 360 and i am having all kind of problems with it. The s pen doesn't bring up the airport side menu. When i bring up word the pen writes all over the document and ruins it. Running android and windows is really hard to do at the same time.
Oh wow, that sucks. Make sure you have all of the latest updates, both windows and Samsung updates. Also, running android on Windows isn't ideal. Microsoft is actually stopping support for it starting in 2025, there just hasn't been enough demand.
Thanks for stopping by! I've talked about it quite a bit in other videos already. All in all, the build quality is pretty good, but not near the level as the book 3 pro 360. But, it's quite a bit better than the original galaxy book pro, that one didn't have the greatest build quality, it had some flex in the keyboard deck. The book2 has no flex in the deck, but it does get pretty toasty at time, all Intel 12th gen laptops do really. The one thing though with these galaxy books is you have to be careful transporting them. They have very thin lids, so getting a crack in the screen is possible if you carry it with other items. It's best to keep it in it's own dedicated laptop bag.
Hey, great video, really helped me decide which model to go with. Just wanted to ask how does the S pen charge/does it need to charge? PS - Watching all the way from India!
I'm suffering from Surface Pen's jittering and Surface Pro 7's bad performance... And I hope these Samsung laptops won't let me down. If they provide a better screen with higher resolution, I would definitely replace my Surface with it.
I feel you, a higher res panel would be nice on the 360. Otherwise, it's an awesome machine, and I definitely like the S pen input more than the surface slim pen 2. Thank you so much for watching!
Another great video man! Thanks for covering the latency on the new 360. You are hitting all of the key points on these videos! And I love how fast you are cranking them out. Feel better soon!
Thank you so much Joe, I really appreciate you 👍
I'll keep this short...I love, love, LOVE this tablet. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxLNmVocUk8tnSkwWIlYSNFzWRIaFTBuzS The picture quality is amazing and there are so many features that this technodino can't wait to learn!
So awesome, congrats on getting it!
what model of s pen did you use on the galaxy book2 360?
@@RADERTECH Thanks a lot for the reply.
You are doing awesome work I was looking out for this review specifically thank you very much, solved my doubts about Spen.. please keep on doing work like this thanks
Thank you so much for your kind comment and for watching, I really do appreciate it! I hope you're having a great day!
8:50 do you NEED an S-Pen for each device, or could you get away with Just One?
Thanks for your videos man. And I hope you get better soon. 👍
I really appreciate, thank you so much!
Wow. This video is amazing and so thorough! Thank you so much for this and please continue making these kinds of videos!
Thank you so much for your kind words, it really means a lot! I appreciate you!
you have no idea how hard it is to find this type of info about the Galaxy Books haha, you're doing god's work!
despite being quite late to the party, i have a quick question regarding the two laptops that i didn't find any clear answer for: are the S Pens the same one? or, well, does the S Pen from the older model still work with all functions on the newer model? (stuff like pen pressure, same improved latency, the magnetic connection to the back, etc...)
keep up the great and sincere content!!
Do we get the s pen with the laptop itself or we have to buy it separately?
Thanks you.
Thanks for stopping by again. I got you in the other comment you left, thanks.

Galaxy Book 2 Pro 360 all the way ❤️
That's so awesome, congrats on getting it! It's a great machine, especially after it gets all of its updates. Thanks for watching, appreciate you!
Do you charge the s pen that comes with book2 pro 360? If so, is it wireless charge that connects to laptop or by usb c?
Hi, thanks for watching! No, there's no charge to the s pen for the book2 pro 360. It doesn't have the bluetooth features that the s pen that comes with the s22/s23 ultra and tab s7+/s8 lineup have. It's more like the galaxy z fold s pen, the Fold edition s pen. It doesn't take a charge as well.
@@RADERTECH Thank you for letting me know.
Just finished watching. Just amazing, please keep posting about this laptop 😁

how do I charge the pen on the laptops? Just got one today!
Hi, thanks for watching! The s pens that come with the galaxy book line don't need charging, you're already set and ready to go. Thanks for watching.
Hello, any idea how well this works with Microsoft powerpoint?
How is the keyboard affected when in tablet mode?
Hey Justin, thanks for watching. All of the keys get disabled when in tablet mode, except for the fingerprint reader.
Is there a screen protector you would recommend for this as well as maybe some other accessories?
Keep up the good work!
i have a few old wacom pens with an eraser at the the other side..works like a charm. i am sure you can customize the click...it s windows after all

@@RADERTECH thank you, that helps me a lot.

Would a Wacom bamboo ink be a decent replacement for the s pen?
Hi, thanks for watching! Yes, that will work fine, and so will the Wacom One pen as well. They all utilize the same tech, so you should be good to go.
Great review, especially on the s-pen prowess between devices!
I was contemplating too much between Tab8 Ultra & GB2pro360 because of refresh rate & latency that I end up missing the pre-order😅
But compare to US, we didn't have the free monitor on preorders here in Germany so it didn't hurt much😁
After watching your review, I'm kinda leaning more on GB2pro360..but the buttery-smooth, less jittery writing on Tab8Ultra is still tempting since I wanted to use it mainly for digital notetaking in my studies..which involves a lot of writing, & I'm concerned whether this slight advantave of Tab8 Ultra in Hz & latency can reduce any strain I might face in the long run😅
Guess I really have to run to stores & feel the writing experience first.
Overall, your video is so much helpful👏
Thanks!❤
Does book2 pro supports palm rejection unlike previous version?
Hi, thanks for watching👍It does a better job than last year's model, but not quite as good as the tab s8 ultra. It really depends on what app you're using. S Notes for example has the option to turn off finger input, preventing drawing from your hand. You also have the Windows palm rejection toggle, of which helps some too.
Sometimes I seem to have better luck with it than other times. I swear I can be doodling away for a long time without noticing palm input at all, while other times it can happen left and right. A bit frustrating.
It's a mixed bag, but it is better than last year's model

Is this the S Pen Pro? If not, is the Pro compatible with the laptop? It writes, but does it connect using Bluetooth?
@RADERTECH Thank you very much, I'll check these out!
@@RADERTECH Perfect! Thanks much.

Thanks for another awesome content. I'm wondering if we can do screen off memo writing on it as the galaxy tablet or galaxy note. 🤔
Thank you so much for watching. I'm afraid not, that's only on the phones and tablets.

Hi, thank you so much for watching! Yes, you can rest your palm on the screen at the same time as writing. Hi great Video!! One question do you think that if I connect my S pen pro will I have the bluetooth functionality?
Thank you so much for watching! Yes indeed, the s pen works great on the GB2 pro 360, it's right there with the Ultra 👍
Great video. Have you tried to use OBS studio along with Zoom and Google Meet at the same time during live streaming?
Thank you so much, and sorry for the slow reply. Unfortunately, I don't have any experience live streaming, so I'm just not sure. Hopefully somebody will see this and can provide some inputs. Thank you so much for watching.
Thank you for this review! Really nice, this is the laptop of my dreams. Great comparison to last year's and the S6 ultra.
Thank you so much, I really appreciate you stopping by and watching!
Amazing 😀
Thank you so much!
Yes, you got - the 13" is a sharper looking screen than the 15", it has a higher pixel density die to the smaller size, so text will look sharper 👍
The s pen doesn't make any noise at all really...
Do you know if the Spen Pro once paired with a Galaxy Book2 360, can be paired with and Alpha2 flex?? I cant find a way to do it
Hi, thanks for watching.

Hi, thanks for watching! I've never used that particular machine, but my gut would say no, it won't be.

Hi, I was contemplating to buy galaxy Book2 360 13.3, but I can't understand if even this model support and use s pen as gb2 pro 360. Thanks
What kind of s pen is it? Mine came with one in the box but it was stolen at the gym…. Been trying to find the exact one…no luck 😭😭
Hey,
I believe we can't right click using S pen
Can we use third party stylus, which may have right click functionality?
Hi, thanks for watching! No, I don't think that's a thing at all. It all depends on what software you're using, some apps support customizing the pen button, but it's on an app by app basis. For Windows use, I don't think right-click is available with any pen. That would be nice though, for sure.
Enjoyed the video. Very clear. One thing I was wondering is if there is any difference between using pen on 13" version of 360 against 15".
Thank you so much, I really appreciate you watching!
No, no difference at all. The performance and latency are exactly the same. I would say that the overall tablet and writing experience is a bit better on the 13" due to it being easier to hold and handle in general. But otherwise, exactly the same.

Just wondering if you have any issues of syncing samsung notes? Or how fast it syncs? (Tab to laptop or vice versa) thanks
What do you prefer? Book 2 or s8 ultra in use .

Thank you very much, but no, I've bought 2 different "normal" S-pens and as it turns out, it is a driver issue that might be far more complicated to resolve than just getting a new pen, since Samsung doesn't seem to make updating a driver particularly easy.
I'll have to go have it checked out, but thank you regardless!
How are thermals of the laptop, is it good?
Not so great. Intel 12th gen gets pretty darn hot, I'm not too impressed with the thermal on the book2 pro 360. They're a lot better on the latest 13th gen model, but a pretty big margin too. There's a couple test videos on my channel that show the thermal difference. Thanks for stopping by!

It magnetically attaches to the outside like on their tablets. You can attach it to the lid or keep it attached down by the trackpad when the lid is open - this is where the strongest magnet is.

Quick question: BestBuy has the 2021 Book pro 360 1TB, 16gb for 999$. Good deal or just pony up the extra $600 for the 2022 model?
@@usa4life71 I'm not seeing that deal on Best Buy's site, it must be local to your area :(
@@RADERTECH As always, I can get an external cam at 1080p or better resolution to make up for the lackluster interal 780p one. Plus a nice monitor or two and the external cam would be $550 or less. Still comes out to the same price, if not cheaper, as this years model in terms of price. Not bad.
You think that's a better value than this years one, even though there are some drawbacks to last years model vs this years?
is it air action with s pen ?
No, I'm sorry, it does not. Thanks for watching👍
Great video!
Just an FYI:
The screenshot utilities already exist on Windows, including cropping out one part of the screen (It's Windows+Shift+S)
More than 50 percent laptop delivered have screen issues
I bought a samsung galaxy book pro but they delivered defective product with touch screen issue.
I wish that pen had the same/all the abilities of the s pen from the galaxy book flex.
Thank you
Thank you so much for watching!
Can run fusion 360? Or sketchup?
Seeing some suggestions that the 15 is faster than the 13.....any thoughts?
Thank you so much for watching. Yeah, that will likely always be the case, due to better thermals on the 15". It has an extra fan a little more room to breath, so to speak.
@@RADERTECH Didn't realize it had a second fan.
How to charge this pen?
Sir plz make an video on build quality of galaxy book 2 pro 360
@@RADERTECH thanks a ton !
Is it still working if I use my S pen of TAB S7 ultra on the GB2 Pro?
Yes, it will work fine with it. Thanks for watching.
@RADERTECH It's music to my ears! THANK YOUU!!
Hey, great video, really helped me decide which model to go with. Just wanted to ask how does the S pen charge/does it need to charge?
PS - Watching all the way from India!
Thank you so much for the kind words and for watching👍 Neither of these models use a Bluetooth S Pen, so they don't get charged in any way.
Wow. This is very informative and helpful. I've been searching for a 2-in-1 laptop. This video made a huge impact on my decision making.
That's awesome, thank you so very much for watching and for the kind words. I hope you're having a fantastic day!
