    I noticed in the last minute or so of the video, you do a sped up portion showing the unit cleaning the pool floor perimeter and then inside section of the floor. During that part the unit seems to go over the same part repeatedly (corner to corner). This is similar to an issue I had with a different brand high end cordless robot cleaner. Did you notice this to be an issue with the beatbot? I found that curved areas in my freeform and corners would cause it to repeatedly return to the same areas. It would eventually escape but getting stuck for 10-15 minutes going over the same spot was frustrating.

      Not with the Aquasense. Once it hit the edge corner to corner it pretty much turns around towards another corner away from that wall.

    I have one of these and it does okay in floor mode but struggles with walls. I have a traditional hopper bottom deep end which I think is the issue, any idea of any robots that don’t struggle with this kind of pool?

    • @imdefinitelydavid
      @imdefinitelydavid 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's totally up to you to leave it on the dock or not. It's a charging station but also a docking station, so it's perfectly fine to leave it on even when it's fully charged. It's designed to not overcharge itself even if left on the dock.
      You don't have to turn your pool pump off to use the cleaner. It used to be that years ago, by turning the pool pump off it allowed cleaners to more easily move through the pool to clean it better. But nowadays, almost every cleaner is more powerful and efficient to run even with the pump on.

      At this moment right now, the Aiper Scuba S1 Pro is my choice for a cordless.
      It's less expensive than other premium cleaners, has an ultra-fine filter, has a weekly timer, and has an online app but also works great as a simple plug and play 👍

      Hi David, thanks for all the videos!I bought the Scuba S1 and returned it because it kept getting stuck in my bar stools (pillars in the shallow end). I then ordered the S1 pro and it doesn’t get stuck on the bar stools but can’t seem to climb the walls (S1 had no problem with the walls). I’m in the process of returning the S1 Pro and looking for advice on the best product regardless of price. Just for a cleaner, not a skimmer combo.

      Great reviews, how much better is the Scuba S1 Pro vs the S1 and is it worth the price difference?
      I thinking of returning my Scuba S1 to upgrade.
      Any recommendations is appreciated sir!

    • @imdefinitelydavid
      @imdefinitelydavid 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well since I got the S1 Pro I've been using that over the S1. One major difference that you'll need to get used to is the weight of the cleaner. The Scuba S1 is much smaller and easier to use as a plug and play. I would say, if you're already happy with the normal S1, keep it.
      But if you want some extra cool features and intend on using it, like wall mode(horizontal waterline cleaning) and especially if you want an ultra-fine filter, then yes, upgrade for sure. Finding a cordless cleaner with ultra-fine under the 1k price is hard to do.

    im debating between the aquasense vs aquasense pro vs polaris vrx IQ. Whats your thoughts. Obviously major issue if corded or not. Im mainly wondering is the aquasense has enough bater for a larger pool and will do a good enough job to only have to run it a couple times a week. On the polaris I can just set it to a daily clean and check it weekly.

    • @imdefinitelydavid
      @imdefinitelydavid 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The number one feature for me personally is if a cleaner has a weekly timer function of any sort. No matter if it's corded or cordless, I always prefer cleaners with a weekly timer. It's just very convenient to have.
      The normal Aquasense is great but no weekly timer. Only way I'd pick the normal Aquasense in this case is if you paired it with an automatic pool skimmer. The skimmer would pick up a lot of the debris before it hit the floors so you'd need to use the normal Aquasense less often.
      Otherwise, the timers on the Polaris and Aquasense Pro make it the better choice

      Physically, the Beatbot feels more premium and high-end. Performance wise, they both do well... the S2 has more features though so I prefer it over the Beatbot.

    ok my dolphin s300 is now dead i had it for 7 years it was great but no more cords. i would like to have a cordless cleaner that does the surface just as good as the floor. surface is very important. what brand i need options, can you help! i live inn Florida and i am going to run the heck out of this robot.

    • @imdefinitelydavid
      @imdefinitelydavid 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If you're looking for a cordless cleaner that does BOTH the surface of the pool and the floors/walls of the pool, the only one on the market right now is the Beatbot Aquasense Pro. No other single cleaner does both but it's a very expensive cleaner. It's also very techy and wifi based.
      Does it have to be one cleaner? Nowadays if you go with a cordless robotic cleaner you can also add a automatic pool skimmer to the mix so you have two cordless cleaning devices on at the same time. If you're in Florida and get a lot of sun, that's even better for the pool skimmer because it has solar power as an option.

    • @anthonydeluca7153

      Great idea. The beatbot b version or the dolphin liberty a or b model of the liberty. So take out the surface what cordless brand???

    • @imdefinitelydavid
      @imdefinitelydavid 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well Beatbot is a newer company but it offers the same warranty as Dolphin does. It's too early to tell how long the Beatbot will last.
      As opposed to Dolphin which I have other cleaners that have lasted 5+ years, we know they last a while...
      If you're looking to stay with a reputable brand then the Liberty 300 or 400 would be the way to go. I've had the 300 for coming up on almost 2 years now and it's still in great shape.

      I had the Aiper scuba pro s1 and returned it. Could not navigate corners and curved areas. It would get ‘stuck’ by getting pushed out of the path it wanted to go in these areas. Mapping nav did not work as advertised. It was as random as any non robotic cleaner.

      I retuned the Aiper S1 Pro because it would get stuck on the steps and repeat the same spot over and over again. The AquaSense I tried as well and returned. It was probably the least capable cleaner I have ever used. I purchased the Seauto Shark based on reviews here and it is still the best and low cost. It appears Dolphin is now selling a Seaauto unit private labeled which speaks to the capability of the Seauto line.

    • @imdefinitelydavid
      @imdefinitelydavid หลายเดือนก่อน

      I actually agree with you on the fact that the S2 Pro is a better cleaner than this Aquasense is, price and feature wise hands down.
      The Aquasense was released 5 months ago. At that time, when this review was released it was a good choice for a premium cleaner for the price. There were not many options available for this category.
      Since then, the Wybot S2, the S2 Pro, and others like the Aiper Scuba S1 Pro were all released. Newer and lower in price. The S2 Pro within the past month, the most recent.
      I'm not saying you're wrong, but you have to consider the release dates. There's always going to be a newer cleaner. More features, better pricing, etc. In this case, today, there are better options for the price.
      Sorry to hear about your experience with the Aquasense. It's not for everyone. Every pool is different.
