Hi I'm mehak. I've done my 5 year Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2018. Now I want to apply for immigration trough express entry. My question is if I get my immigration then after landing canada before my lisence exam I have to work as Physiotherapy assistant and what are the chances of getting PTA jobs in canada?
P.s my degree is equal to masters degree in canada as per my knowledge. So for PTA do I have to take any course or I can directly apply for PTA job anywhere in canada?

hello, i am planning for september 2023 intake , and as you said i am targeting to give ILETS by aug-november 2022, but i am confused that when to send my credentials for the PCE exam? after my intership that will end by july 2023 , and when i will reach canada for my post diploma course ? and can i also give PCE in my home country or with the post diploma course in canada only? please help, i am really confused.
Hello ma'am, I actually wanted to know. As I did my BPT in india , and not opting for msc PT rather opting for Msc kinesiology as it's comes more into my budget , so wanted to know doing thesis masters in kinesiology and if do , In case PHD in same. Will that help me to work in sports field as a physio. Becz bpt enables me to sit for PCE. And just becz of cost and relevance I'm opting for msc kinesiology. Please do reply shortly . Want to pursue as physio only in future
Hey Himanshi, Good question. I am happy that you want to learn more about physio. Msc in kinesiology is not physiotherapy they both are different. Look for rehabilitation science if you want to do masters. Again, I won’t recommend to pay masters fees. Instead I would take a diploma course and with that extra money I will take additional physiotherapy courses to add skill tool to your physio tool box. I hope it make sense. Hello, Kinesiologist work similar to PTA, slightly better pay than PTA. It is a very generalized course. Please don’t waste your money 💰. Look for specific course and more focused field. I hope this make sense. Please check my Instagram account I had just posted about courses.
