No it's not a copy of the YAK-141. Not at all. A small part of the VTOL mechanism on the VTOL VARIANT of the F-35 is the only similarity with the YAK-141. Everything else and all the other variants of the F-35 are completely different from the Yak-141. If you want to see a real copy, check out the J-20. A military contractor working with Lockheed Martin stole and sold blue prints of the F-22 to China. He's probably still in prison, if I'm not mistaken. That's how the "mighty dragon" came about, salvaged from stolen intellectual property.

Well, if you feed some supercomputer with all laws of aerodynamics, electromagnetism and general physics and ask him to modeled medium multipurpose fighter, you will get more or less similar design as F-35. Since those laws are everywhere same, airplanes like KF-21, turkish TF-X or this J-35 will inevitably look very similar.
