For anyone thinking of adopting a new pet, please look at shelters and rescue organizations. If you want a specific breed, I guarantee there are rescue organizations for that specific breed near you! There are way too many dogs and cats in the world for breeders to still be a thing.

@@86RSJag I understand your emotion, but no need for shaming her. I do love her decor...haha! For all we know, the puppy is from a rescued mom dog. That would be great! If not, then this is a good opportunity for education and awareness around rescue organizations! :-) I love Lydia and watch most of her videos. In the future animal-derived materials, breeders, and animal cruelty in general will not exist!

Thank you so much everyone should look into the poor dogs by no fault of their own sitting by themselves in a cold dark shelter when you should always try to find a suitable dog there before you go and adopt for the it dog!!! Just like getting one because it’s a holiday like Christmas,Easter etc.

    • @AnUrbanGypsy
      @AnUrbanGypsy 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

Alternatively, if people chose a reputable breeder that offers a lifetime of support throughout the animal’s life, there would be little need for many shelters. It could even be argued that if people continue to adopt from shelters others will continue to use them to dump their unwanted pet as they know someone else will take on something that was their responsibility. A reputable breeder who has been going for many, many years is worth their weight in gold.

Looking good and tasting good are entirely different things. My sister once fed me chicken that was under cook on the inside that looked well done on the outside with the best presentation I have ever seen for a Roast Chicken. Another time she also made me rice with turkey meat and I told her I didn’t know where the rice or the meat ended because the food was so bland they tasted the same- however if you had looked at it you would have thought it was a meal prepared by a five star chef 🙈🤣

I was reading all the comments about Lydias reaction to Ali’s dinner before I saw the clip but when I did, I didn’t think it was that bad?! I was expecting something pretty savage but it seems quite light hearted to me, she’s eating it, did say it was lovely and is chuckling at the sheer amount of veg😅 I’m quite certain she also would have thanked him for it too, it probably just wasn’t filmed! its interesting to see how people interpret things differently! x

Hi Lydia, fellow puppy owner here with some advice :) In one of your videos you mentioned, laundry room would be the little corner for doggie. Dogs have a very sensitive smell, he probably will be irritated by the detergent scent. Also the noise of the machines, dogs are very light sleepers, so maybe it’s not the ideal place, especially for the beginnings! Best of luck :)

Never a lot just a little. Oh and those pads you know like the ones people use for babies that they put under the mattress cover? They are a good send too!

I often feel for you Lydia, because people are so highly critical of you - but you were so highly critical of Ali in that cooking moment.
He’d cut and prepared so many things and admittedly being a bad cook yourself and speaking about other people disapproving of the meal too and how over the top their meals were - it just came across as humiliating Ali and it was sad to watch when he had obviously gone to so much effort. I think many people felt disheartened by that.
I also cook without recipes and I love throwing things together. It was actually a fancy meal, but if you’re comparing to gourmet hog meals or whatever it was that your privileged friends cook, then that is going to make everyone look bad.
You appear hard to please because you are so wealthy and spoilt.
Apologies if I’m wrong, sometimes there are explanations, but I feel bad for Ali and his efforts and how it was compared to such an unfairly high standard.

Thank you both for sharing that you felt the same. I just watched Ali’s vlog from today and feel even more uncomfortable.
She went on about giving Ali premium content for his channel - yet the reason they were going into London to shop was because her luxury Christmas present that Ali wanted to buy her, he needed to get in store- something like it was an in store purchase only.
She also made a comment to Lumi saying “Daddy can’t get anything right” in a condescending way, because he accidentally left the sausages in the oven more than 5 minutes and burned them and forgot to set a timer. “Daddy can’t even remember to set a timer” just so critical.
Perhaps there is something else going on behind the scenes - you never know - sometimes people are navigating a partner that just cheated or there can be anything - but I feel very uncomfortable with how Ali is being treated. If a man spoke like that to a woman, it also wouldn’t be acceptable.

I thought the same thing. It's a wiener dog, not a bull mastiff! Bless her though...she's just excited. It made me laugh to see that lead. I have a chihuahua and I also went through a period of buying leads and harnesses as if I was getting a pony!!!!

The smartest thing I ever did with my dog was training her when and where to potty. I’ve done this at every apartment I’ve lived in and now the house we live in. Basically, if I let her out the front door then that’s the only place we are going, so she best potty immediately. But if we go out the back door, then we are going on a walk and she can take her time going potty whenever and where ever she wants. It really helps when the weather is crazy or if I’m short on time because she goes potty immediately.

My life coach is a wonderful asset to my life.
Tristan upon our first session over Zoom he asked me what is that you strive for in life. Failing to prepare is preparing to Fail. When he heard this he had a huge smile, he opened a sealed envelope and that was what he had written on the paper. He and I spoke over zoom and that is what he wrote.
Amazing. Lydia Elise enjoy the journey as you have many exciting times to unfold coming your way.

I'm glad you decided to crate train. It's a personal decision but we crate trained our Maks during his first year and the crate became his "safe space". If you cover the crate all but the back with a thin towel (like a flour sack towel) and put the uncovered side to the wall, he will feel even safer and snug in his crate. Now, Maks is 10 years and he goes to his crate when we have work men here that make him nervous or when we take him traveling with us and need to leave him for short periods of time. It's just handy to have that option and you have a short window to crate train so you need to do it when they are young. Good luck with your little one...they are so much fun but yes, take more work than cats. I only ever had cats all my life until I was older and I did find what you said to be true. Merry Christmas to you all.😘💕🎄

    Dear Lydia ..
just a slight adjustment in your
    Hair combing technique ...
    JUST a little slower ..
and try and very carefully MOVE
Knots through the hair a bit more delicately...
Trying BEST to not break ANY hairs ...
Hair serums/ detangling oils all over ..
but focused on trouble spots TOO ...
just to help with less breakage ..
    and keeps the sproootlings from
    tangling /rubbing on clothing ..
    causing more breakage to
    the fragile bits
    You are STUNNING darling 🌹
ALL the best blessings to you 🥰

Awww I have family that work at Butternut Box. You know the food is good and that they’ve used good ingredients when the even the staff and dog owners can eat it. It’s not quite raw though like you said, the food is actually cooked on a very low temperature to kill any potential harmful bacteria. X

Lydia- The best way to house train your pup is to put it out as soon as he finishes eating. I then, always said, "go ahead" or "pee". In no time he will ask to go out and if you say "go ahead" he'll know what you want.

It may not be beneficial to use the curling iron too often...
Mostly, men are cooking this way. But that is an indication of his creativity in this area. In the Stone Age people began to cook without recipes. So it is a very original form of culinary enjoyment.
Basically, cooking is not difficult. It is important that the ingredients go together harmoniously, that everything is cooked correctly and that the spices are used correctly. However: if you are really hungry, you will eat (almost) everything ...

Please be careful using the Furminator, once a week is more than enough. It can be quite harsh on the skin and leave the pups coat patchy if you over use it.

Hi Lydia! Loved this video, your kitchen garden is gonna be a DREAM 😍 about the furminator, if I may give you a tip, I also have a spaniel, and my breeder always told me NOT to use the furminator, because it ruins the coat of this kind of dog (I have a cavalier King Charles and cocker spaniels have similar coats) so you may want to consider another brush for Bolly!
