She lacks own ideas most of the time.
I once liked her style but this classic country style reminds me of my grandma and not of a modern young woman. It’s ok to have a beautiful Hermes but her collection was beautiful. Tweed and Riding Boots in front of old British palaces is more an advertisement for the National trust. I missed modern vibes and some individual ideas

Regrettably the same. I was subbed to her twice but had to unsub because it was just constant PIVOT to whatever was trendy. She also calls bags her ride or die, basically, then woosh sells them several years later, thinking we're all too stupid to notice. Another youtuber literally said if she ever sold her favourite specific bag to unsubscribe. She assumed I had forgotten - I had not. Unsubbed immediately. These people think we're thick. Meanwhile, the best thing in Lydia's life is clearly her hot husband. Maybe instead of obsessing over handbags she should keep her man happy, he seems to be the secret to her success.

There is no point in being selectively angry. So you don’t believe in buying fake bags, a purchase is a purchase, regardless of the intention. I personally think it's crazy to care too much about how people want to spend their money. I bought real coach, marc jacobs, and mcm. If it's more than 1500, I'll buy a replica *preluxz* . Guess what else I have in the bank, I'm a homeowner and drive a Lexus. I saw someone on TH-cam who had tons of luxury items, lived in their mom's house, and was broke
I find Lydia tacky. Remember in the film Wayne's world, when Garth wore literally head to toe Addidas. That's what Lydia is like with her "old money" aesthetic. When actual old money do not notice how much things cost, they just wear what they like, which could be a loewe bag with A pair of levis and a H&M polo neck.
I have to laugh at the story I heard of an aristocratic heiress commonly seen wearing Primark tights like they don't give a single F. M&S is still a sloanie brand though. Literal supermarket clothes.
@@elisabonetti408 Meanwhile people berate new money for doing the same. It's ridiculous that generational wealth somehow buys you status, yet working hard and genuinely making it gets you labeled a wannabe dolt...
@rimun5235 it depends what you consider "status" to mean. If it means hanging out with royalty or titled people you can get to that stage by starting to mix in similar circles, getting an interest in things they like and being nice chatty and polite. If "status" means decking yourself out in head to toe "er-mez" as they call it and driving a land rover the size of a war tank in an attempt to look rich. Then that's just cozplay in my book.
People following the Old Money trend may view it this way but it's just classic, heritage brand Country aesthetic, I dress this way also. It may seem over the top if you are new to the idea but it's not new.
As an American I started following her about a year ago. I am in my 60's and can say I went through many phases of what I deemed to be trendy or fashionable. My style in general has always been more classic, or coastal grandmother as they call it. I appreciate what she is doing at this point in her life with her wardrobe. I do have a question though about designer bags. Do people actually make money when they sell them on the secondary market?
So basically don’t expect to make money - some limited edition bags that sold out fast can be the exception to the rule. If you wear your bags expect to lose money for everything except Kelly and Birkin
I have been watching for years and wanted to let you know that out of everyone I have watched You by far have the most beautiful Hermes collection because you have a variety of them in all the colors I love. Not boring at all.
She will always remind me of the time when the average UK people were finding it difficult to keep their homes warm and she came out with a very out of touch video about staying at The Savoy
I was surprised not to see the stunning Lady Dior in her collection anymore, I would definitely not have parted with that one. But I think her curating her collection more seems a good decision. Thanks for the video 💕
Fairfax & Favor are usually found at horse and country fayres. They have nice products that suit their theme, if that what appeals to you. I’m sure Lydia was gifted her F&F one when she worked with them last year but I doubt she would carry that over her Birkin unless they are paying her to 🤑. She’s a true Influencer - I don’t think she buys, or even really uses, anything that she shows. It’s shown for others to buy so she can then purchase higher end products with the money she makes from that. You rarely see her in any of the Karen Millen clothing she designs, skincare changes monthly, hairdressers are whoever does it for free… she’s an advertiser and as soon as the ‘old money’ aesthetic wanes, she’ll morph into another role.
Good assessment of her. I actually like her, but she is definitely into being a money maker. She does give exceptional pieces of wisdom sometimes that really help me.
I was soo shocked when she talked about her new collection. She used to have the largest collection. I actually found her because of handbags. I’ve been watching her for 5 years I also couldn’t relate to her esthetic.. . But I’ve always loved flowing her life and her channel.
i don't know why you keep saying she is more classic than trendy if classic IS the current trend. people who follow trends can look a bit tragicomic sometimes. depending on the trend, you really see that it doesn't match the person's personality and you can see that it's cosplay. furthermore, looking at someone and knowing exactly where they got their idea of how to dress is just so... ah
Lydia has had several of the bags you claiming are and "It Trends" for seral years now and the reason she sold many of them was to buy Hermes. It's a trade UP and I LOVE Lydia's style very much! She's not going for old money look but just a very "Classic English look!" They will never go out of style nor will they be trendy because the are already "Classics". I don't own nor carry purses but I do get her style and adore 95% of everything she does. HUGE FAN FOR LIFE!
I 💜 that she’s minimized her look and bag collection. I like her new English preppy/country style, although it appears she has curated her new look as a fashionable take on real English country style. I don’t follow Lydia or any main stream trendy social media women, as I don’t relate. I like my girls with a bit more unique, edgy or eccentric style, or just more “down to earth” relatability. Lydia just seems too perfect, trotting through life with a blowout, manni and overly trendy fashions. I’m mostly rocking the model off duty look, especially after the lock down.
I just watched her video, then yours followed! 😊 I remember watching her videos religiously, and one bag I specifically remember her buying as an error and that was the micro peekaboo! Her style looks more Ralph Lauren now 😊
I was shocked also when I saw she sold most of the bags especially Fendi and lady Dior but I guess it is tiring to have so much ! It is more convenient to have fewer items . I have 15 now and feel it is too much
Great video. I’m new to your channel and I love your vibe. And, I can’t tell the difference in the two Bottega bags and the LYXBAGS is close enough and it’s cute so that’s good enough for me.
I think she is still following the trends, but the game has changed. Before it was the norm to unbox 10-20 bags per year but in current times that might be considered vulgar, wasteful and at the very least an “out of fashion” thing to do. Now the people want to see curated, well-thought collections that stand the test of time. And how many times have we heard the term “old money” in the last 2 years? 😅 I actually like her and watched the video myself.
lydia is just lost. constantly evolving from something that she isn't to something else that she isn't. it became weird and fake and i just had to stop watching.
Listen, we are women, and we change our minds all the time. We change our looks all the time. We change our style all the time. So if Lydia is embracing her new style, who cares. Let her. We are supposed to grow and are allowed to have different prospectives. Not being trendy is cool with me. I hate trends too. You save more money not keeping up with ugly expensive things. 😄 I love her aesthetic. It’s beautiful.
I always wonder why people sell their bags, I just keep them and dig them out when I fancy using them. I add to my collection when I like something I see. Love your collection, Jess, bright and beautiful 🫶
I think people evolve.. and she did as well.. I got my birkin 35 and Kelly 28 for Christmas preloved and I still have other bags.. I want a Constance and am done with Hermes
Agree. In a couple of years I would like a Birkin for a milestone birthday and then a Kelly preloved. Then I'm good. I don't need a million of them. And my collection def doesn't look like it did 5 years ago
I wish I knew she was selling her handbags because I loved her white Bulgari handbag. I actually look for one from time to time on the preloved market lol!!
😮😮 Lydia’s former Dior galactic looking bag is STUNNING. I can see why she is going pre loved for Chanel as we have seen the quality gone down!😢 I also had not heard of Fairfax & Favor! i prefer their boots Her Rouge H 25 is pretty! I think her style may evolve again-later on she may be interested in Alexander McQueen!
Lady Dior bag is not a trend and will never go out of style . Trends come and go but classics always stay in style. So wear your bags and don’t mind trends
I been living the look of a tiny bag with luxurious embellishments and big shiny hardware. Love it but my mood for bags changes witching the hour so I just do what I feel now
I love Fairfax and Favor! I have the mini Windsor bag and the mini Tetbury bag both in tan and I love them! I am tempted by the Buckingham too! They are very well made and I carry them if I want to look chic but not take out a designer bag…people stop me and ask about their bags every time I use them. They free ship via DHL to the US and all of the customs fees are included in the price fyi😎
I've moved from the West to the far east, to what the west considers a "develoing economy" and now that I'm settled in,.this...stuff just seems like unnecessary stress. It's nothing personal to Jess or anyone that likes handbags, we all have our thing but when it comes to luxury in general I'm starting to think ...wtf quota bag, exclusivity, price increases etc. These brands are just taking the biscuit. They have/had us all chasing our own tails girl. Still love your vids jess ❤
Two years I moved to MX and travel back to the states from time to time. Every time I come back to the US, I give away or sell more stuff from storage.
As a Londoner her style is literally a old money cross play I live in a rich area we don’t dress like her at all it is a little cringe. Tbh she lives in the country so might be different where she’s located
Being a Brit I really try and like her but the old money thing is totally phoney most with old money don’t act talk look like this This is trying to hard to be something your not I watched her reels but her videos no
Are people really hating for her having a style aesthetic?? How many of your fav influencers are SUDDENLY now into the Row minimalist, logo-free, understated look? And if they are.. good for them. Find your style & experiment. If she was buying every trendy bag, then she would still get hate. People go through different phases in life. Style changes. Habits changes. & This is coming from someone who watches 1 of her videos every 4 months or so
to be honest. If you produce at cost and remove the logo, the luxury market really isn't that expensive. The mark is about 80% of the actual price. But the fact that you are*preluxz* buying an image and showing off your taste to make them think you are richer than you are is a very good thing to do.
She is not doing very well, many companies ditched her, and she is not invited anymore in any event in Paris, Milan etc just look at Tamara Kalinic she has more Hermes than her but she is cool about and she wears different brands. Is not that carrying a vintage Hermes will make old money, I know ultra rich that they do not buy luxury brands
Lydia never made her way into the international fashion scene .. to my surprise Victoria / inthrfrow doesn’t seem to have either despite her fashion PhD. I guess they cater more to a female regular crowd than appeal to luxury fashion brands in the longer run .. I can see why .. Tamara Xenia caro all of them consistently show better fashion sense
@@hollystiener16 oh thanks haven’t seen it ! I do believe she has a very traditional way of dressing - the frilly feminine dresses before (her Karen Millen collabs), which imo are tamer versions of Zimmermann styles, and recently her English countryside granny style of dressing. She’s pretty and it’s a vibe but fashion wise it’s not really exciting imo
Her aesthetic currently is a mix of old money and cottage core. I think that she adjusted her collection to that, while making money at the same time. A lot of bags would clash with that. Im not surprised if she now primarily has plain Hermes bags, basket bags and a few sentimental bags.
I watch her videos but get tired of her flashing a Hermes bag all the time. Most rich English people do not own Hermes bags, They own big houses, that have been passed down through the centuries and are trying to maintain and heat the properties. And the most expensive Hermes bag would not cover the cost of the yearly maintenance of those properties love Lenora Smee, she shares her mums classic designer bags that she shares and uses and is not afraid of wear a dress she bought 5 years ago time and time again. Sadly Lydia only gets excited about anything green in colour. I know she is an influencer but I cannot say I have been influenced by anything she does or says. As long as she is happy with the choices she make that is what is important.. Also she works with Amazon and showed a video that she will be working with Fairfax and favour.

Ahh, thats where she got the idea from, given Leonora Smee had old vintage stuff from her mum, has rich parents, Lydia may have felt jelous so had a brainwave to sell bags and start buying vintage. Money from sales is now to make front of the modern bungalow (extended into basement and loft) apear more cottagee and rustic🤦♀️ giving she wants a mansion to outdoo JosieLND from whom she stole idea of natural, green, rustic, cottage, ...etc. Indeed, she has no own style.
She doesn't have the RoDayios. She finds them ugly and I agree with her. Mel in Malborne has a HUGE collection of Burkins and Kellys and I stopped watch her because she spends all of her money on Hermes. I'm just not that Materialistic. YIKES!
I actually sold all my trendy ysl & gucci bags. Replaced them with some non trendy classic chanel & coach. Only bought them preloved cause i don’t want them to lose their values if one day i grow out of it. Got them all brand new way under retail cause of the current market. I currently have about 6-7 bags & completely happy with it vs having a ton & barely even using them.
So I don’t need an influencer to show a very old fashioned horse breeder on the country side look nor do I need the launer bag .. DONT need it like honestly I don’t need anything queen elizabeth wore in her 70s to 90s I love her box vintage bag - I knew my first h bag was going to be a vintage black box Kelly 28 and that was 2016 or so I got it after lusting for about 10 years .. I loved all the Gucci and Chloe that was hot in 2016 too and I know I wanted it for individual taste not because the jenners and Kardashian’s modelled it in contrast to many of the people Suddenly getting box Kelly’s in the past year or two .. so bored of Influencers like her and I used to love her style
Lydia would have gotten a large volume of her bags for free, or the Net a Porter etc's give influencer's large credits to buy trend lead pieces. It is even know that Hermes will lend bags to some Influencer's. She cut ties with certain other influencers and I have a feeling some brands have cut ties. Ultimately her job is to make people buy things. There are viewers who don't buy into that, but Lydia still earns ad revenue.
Lydia lives in her own little world of make believe, I skim through her videos for nice country visuals, but she is too fake for me, which makes her not genuine almost narcissistic, like someone else. She says she's nice to others, but I have a hard time believing that especially after the pregnant hair stylist episode, where I don't think she truly apologized for that terrible behavior, she just made excuses for herself. And she does not really teach us anything, just shows off what she has.
When I started following her she was super nice, kinda trendy, but always had something fabulous to show off, which was fine because she was more genuine than what she is trying to do now, playing into the “old money” aesthetic. It was pretty clear she had the money and the means to get whatever she desired and it was FUN. But then she fell into a spiral of country girl syndrome and let me tell you, I lived in the city and moved back to the country side and not much has changed about me. Her actions became very performative. I stopped following her because a few months ago she was constantly click baiting with her mental health problems, which I’m not saying were not true, but she became quite insufferable. She was complaining in most of her videos about… I guess you can call first world problems, like the issues she had with her hair, which could have been so easily solvable.
Good choice. I love the vintage look and they are very unique. I have a few old Gucci bags (2015) and a Chanel Jumbo Black Caviar Silver Hardware Single Flap (19 years) that I love, and I prefer the vintage style. I have even restored some old LVs because I love them so much. Thanks for your video. I love them. *HOTDUPS*
She is probably trying to get a sponsorship from the brand. She usually tags and features brands she wants to work with if she isn't already sponsored. All of her moves are $ based. She is a very intelligent influencer. This is why I think she may like something, but her primary motivation is to grow herself.
Specially now that bigger bags are in I would say yes! Ask your bf to go make a wishlist and say it's for your anniversary and see... worst case scenario he gets a birkin25!
Jess you are a crack up! not going to lie the way you are describing her new 'aesthetic' from an ousiders perspective really is highlighting that everything this women does is to follow a current trend. Hermes is currently getting oversaturated and soon she will probably realise nothing she has is 'if you know you know' and will want to start collecting the next 'it' designer.
We all know why she sold them all , her career is going down the drain and she is obsessed with Hermes bags, sadly they are preloved bags so highly expensive. Go and read her tattle thread fantastic.
@@JessiestyleShe was, sadly she has a bad reputation in the industry and her abuse of a pregnant hair dresser, the globy disaster, the savoy gate, slur gate … have all hit her hard.

Problem is the way she dresses I don’t see anyone outside dressed like that. It is way too OTT. I mean I wish people put in a bit more effort into their dress but it is just attention seeking.

I hate fast fashion brands though. 😑 But yes, ‘old money’ people wear what they want, because they can.
Oh yes
So basically don’t expect to make money - some limited edition bags that sold out fast can be the exception to the rule. If you wear your bags expect to lose money for everything except
Kelly and Birkin
Nobody needs 50 bags sorry
I'm glad you did this video summarizing Lydia's bags because I can't stomach actually watching Lydia's videos anymore.
Thanks for the video 💕
thanks for tuning in!🌷
Fairfax & Favor are usually found at horse and country fayres.
The constant PIVOT.
Good assessment of her. I actually like her, but she is definitely into being a money maker. She does give exceptional pieces of wisdom sometimes that really help me.
She has her own collection through Karen Millen and she wears it all the time! Where have you been?
I find her beige style very boring, but each to their own. I like your collection much more! All the colours 🩷🩵🧡💚
I was soo shocked when she talked about her new collection. She used to have the largest collection. I actually found her because of handbags. I’ve been watching her for 5 years
I also couldn’t relate to her esthetic.. . But I’ve always loved flowing her life and her channel.
Sad to see Lydia likely let go of what made her style for me
I’m obsessed with Luxury Promise. Their lives are addicting. And the owner Sabrina is very sweet
Hate them. All their products are so overpriced.
Yessss I love watching their lives too!!! ❤❤❤
Shockd Chanel and Co aren't cracking down due to price fixing. @@dva5610
i don't know why you keep saying she is more classic than trendy if classic IS the current trend.
people who follow trends can look a bit tragicomic sometimes. depending on the trend, you really see that it doesn't match the person's personality and you can see that it's cosplay. furthermore, looking at someone and knowing exactly where they got their idea of how to dress is just so... ah
Both can be true, someone can dress in a classic style that happens to have become trendy again.
This video 👏🏻 I was so shocked she sold her wedding bvlgari bag! And did not mention the kelly 28 at all
Lydia has had several of the bags you claiming are and "It Trends" for seral years now and the reason she sold many of them was to buy Hermes.
4:29 she looks so silly in her quiet luxury costume that i had to pause the video and laugh out loud ahahahahh
Seems like she’s jumping from trend to trend. Wondering if she has her own sense of style or if her aesthetic is just for business purposes.
You put it so well.
People grow and change, I went through a similar transition, you change over time as does your fashion and values.
You said it perfectly, I just couldn’t bear to watch anymore, not relatable at all!
I think Lydia is “ driven “ to what or who is sponsoring her … EVERYTHING Lydia does is sponsored !!!!
Idk who this woman is.
lol really ???
Me too, have no idea who this is.
She has a million subscribers, but if u don’t know then guys she’s just another Luxury TH-camr.
She’s fake and awful, you’ve not wasted any of your time watching her 🙌🍾
@@user-od8qw7ti8k😂😂
😮😮 Lydia’s former Dior galactic looking bag is STUNNING. I can see why she is going pre loved for Chanel as we have seen the quality gone down!😢
I also had not heard of Fairfax & Favor! i prefer their boots
Her Rouge H 25 is pretty!
I think her style may evolve again-later on she may be interested in Alexander McQueen!
indeed!! some of the royal family has been seen in alexanader mcqueen so it may be the case! thanks makeup!!😍
I'm 99% sure Lydia googles one of those What Kate Wore blogs and takes notes. Shame because her true style used to be interesting.
@@seabreeze4559true !!
Lady Dior bag is not a trend and will never go out of style . Trends come and go but classics always stay in style. So wear your bags and don’t mind trends
I stared watching Lydia M. Channel in 2020 and ❤ her and husband, they changed so much , I can no longer watch 😂 them, so fake
I been living the look of a tiny bag with luxurious embellishments and big shiny hardware. Love it but my mood for bags changes witching the hour so I just do what I feel now
I’ve just seen she’s launching a collab with Fairfax and Favour
I love Fairfax and Favor! I have the mini Windsor bag and the mini Tetbury bag both in tan and I love them! I am tempted by the Buckingham too! They are very well made and I carry them if I want to look chic but not take out a designer bag…people stop me and ask about their bags every time I use them.
They free ship via DHL to the US and all of the customs fees are included in the price fyi😎
Ashwood is even cheaper and has some nice crossbody bags. Traditional shapes don't need to be Hermes.
Being a Brit I really try and like her but the old money thing is totally phoney most with old money don’t act talk look like this
This is trying to hard to be something your not
I watched her reels but her videos no
Lydia wants to be Kate Middleton
Yes! Spot on!
Omg I feel that too. Trying too hard
& This is coming from someone who watches 1 of her videos every 4 months or so
she looks like a ralph lauren ad😂
to be honest.
@@dinavienna Lydia never wanted that. She talked about it in depth in one of videos. It was a couple of years ago.
I followed lydia when prior to her blowing up. She seemed down to earth to me. Now she is kinda fake. I lost interest and stopped following.
I don’t believe that she wears the amazon bags.
I cannot watch Lydia, there’s such a false veneer over everything she does. Unsubscribed ages ago.
Same….
she is still "trend driven" just a new trend and the fakest one imo, "old money" aesthetic! while she is obviously NOT.
Her aesthetic currently is a mix of old money and cottage core. I think that she adjusted her collection to that, while making money at the same time. A lot of bags would clash with that. Im not surprised if she now primarily has plain Hermes bags, basket bags and a few sentimental bags.
Lydia is pretending to be something she’s not. Poor Ali looks like a old man now they way she’s made him dress.
Yes
Absolutely agree. They are 35-36 olds but dress like 45+ year olds most of the time.
I dont mean to be rude but Lydia's old money style looks ageing. Her videos are 1 hr long. Who has the patience for that?
Lidl and Aldi are cosplayers!
Jess is nothing wrong wear matching bag and shoes I love that too I don't like wearing to many colors.
Why would you ever cheapen all your bags with those horse charms 😂
She doesn't have the RoDayios. She finds them ugly and I agree with her. Mel in Malborne has a HUGE collection of Burkins and Kellys and I stopped watch her because she spends all of her money on Hermes. I'm just not that Materialistic. YIKES!
I go through such stages, I want to minimize and sell, but after that I buy again🙄 so, it is better just to stop.
I like you and your collection so much more than Lydia’s x
People say Hermes is boring and i disagree. I love Hermes. Launer is the boring brand. 😂
I have a Fairfax and Favor mini Windsor back in guilted suede. It's my favourite handbag.
So I don’t need an influencer to show a very old fashioned horse breeder on the country side look nor do I need the launer bag .. DONT need it like honestly I don’t need anything queen elizabeth wore in her 70s to 90s
I love her box vintage bag - I knew my first h bag was going to be a vintage black box Kelly 28 and that was 2016 or so I got it after lusting for about 10 years ..
Lydia used to love Burberry. But I don’t think she does anymore
I don’t like people using your video to throw shade on Lydia……😢
Lydia lives in her own little world of make believe, I skim through her videos for nice country visuals, but she is too fake for me, which makes her not genuine almost narcissistic, like someone else. She says she's nice to others, but I have a hard time believing that especially after the pregnant hair stylist episode, where I don't think she truly apologized for that terrible behavior, she just made excuses for herself. And she does not really teach us anything, just shows off what she has.
Love this video Jess!!!! ❤
I like her style too. Makes sense really to have a nice but not super large collection 😁. Launer is also on my list . Thanks for sharing 😊.
I think she said that some of her bags in different place) But of course she cut down her collection)
Sorry , not a fan . Find her to be unrelatable now .
LEM totally influenced me to get a petite Malle!
Ooo!!! Yes I always wanted one especially the catogram one!! hehe
I found her video very strange.
*HOTDUPS*
Lockdown made me buy more bags too 😂 because I couldn't travel
I believe she's saving up for a nicer house?
You mean mansion to outdoo JosieLND and look to rub shoulders with old money to feel she made it!?
Great video thank you Jess 😘
She just rubs me the wrong way… it’s giving phony. 😂
When it comes to Lydia, it’s like a car crash or maybe an exotic bird… I just cannot look away. So interested to see where she goes with her platform
Jessica would you put together how you store your personal handbag. With or without twillys. Etc. Inserts or not. Thanks🎉
I definitely prefer her new style and mindset. 😊
She is probably trying to get a sponsorship from the brand. She usually tags and features brands she wants to work with if she isn't already sponsored. All of her moves are $ based. She is a very intelligent influencer. This is why I think she may like something, but her primary motivation is to grow herself.
Love your lipstick! Please share the brand

I love your vibrant hermes collection, my taste is more like yours I love bright happy colors but also I have a mix of nude and vibrant colors
Lets be real. Lydia was gifted more bags than she purchased…
We all know why she sold them all , her career is going down the drain and she is obsessed with Hermes bags, sadly they are preloved bags so highly expensive. Go and read her tattle thread fantastic.
interesting!! she seems pretty successful to me! who knows!!
@@JessiestyleShe was, sadly she has a bad reputation in the industry and her abuse of a pregnant hair dresser, the globy disaster, the savoy gate, slur gate … have all hit her hard.

hehe yes i feel the same...i am okay to buy a cheap basket though!
I'd love it. I just can't shake the feeling that I'll look like candy candy or something. Makes me self aware... but it's all in my mind. I really want a basket for summer
I love the Birkin inspired basket...actually. ❤
Problem is the way she dresses I don’t see anyone outside dressed like that. It is way too OTT. I mean I wish people put in a bit more effort into their dress but it is just attention seeking.
