Man I hate when people do that when trying to buy cars. He should of never agreed and then sold it to someone. I’ve had this happen to me. Btw I love hand washing my cars.
Your sales person and his manager sucks. I'm a sales manager at a dealer and I would not have let you leave the store until you knew that meant potentially losing out on a hot car.
That's how it works brotha. First come first serve. As a salesman, if you're interested in a car we're working on a deal, and someone comes in with cash and/or approved already, the salesman takes the loss as well. So not only did you not get your car, but also the salesman wasted his time and took that loss of money. Just how business works.
Will, IMO You and our Wife actually won, I had bad experiences with 'both' of my bought new Jeep YJs, '87 (American Motors) 6cyl 5 spd and '92 (Chrysler) 4cyl 5 spd, that had transmission problems and electrical problems and both dealers gave me a difficult time even though they were on warranty, that says a lot about Mopar, effen crooks. I will NEVER purchase anything again from them, and theirs Wranglers are still garbage from what I read. But Will, that's your choice, I just gave you my opinion.
That's a shame. That TJ Sahara was amazing. I have an '05 TJ Rocky Mtn and it's by far the best vehicle I've owned. Try to find another rust free frame TJ with a 4.0L I6 with 3.73 gears and a Dana 44. The TJ and CJ-7 are the best Jeeps. If you can find either in great condition, go for it! Just steer clear of the newer jk and jl plastic generations, they are absolute garbage.
Agreed, salesman and the dealership did you wrong. But seriously, get something newer and with a automatic. Jeeps are way overpriced for their crummy performance.
😡 sales guy should of told you . Waste of time would piss me off too. Smart to use the leaf blower to dry I will do that THANK YOU for the drying tip 👍🏻😁.
The proper thing they should have done was to have asked you for a deposit to hold it and put a sign in it "Sold Conditionally" . There is a reason why used car salesmen have such crappy reputations!
Sorry about the Jeep and all of the effort you put into trying to finalize the sale. Shady used car dealer for sure. It sucks especially when you’re really looking forward to it but everything happens for a reason.
Quick lesson for all of you out there. It's called a CAR DEALERSHIP. They are looking to make deals on...wait for it...cars. Someone came in with cash in hand and made the deal. You had zero stake in that vehicle. If they have a vehicle that is in that high demand and that is in that great of shape, the word spreads fast. The main thing that the sales manager wants is to get inventory off of the lot. New cars pretty much sell themselves and financial institutions are happy to lend the money. Older used vehicles have the potential to stay on the lot longer and cost the dealership money everyday it sits there. Another thing is that with a vehicle that old, the last thing the dealership wants to hear is finance or loan. That is because they know that banks and other lenders are never going to loan you the amount the dealership is asking. But wait, doesn't that mean that the dealership is asking too much for the vehicle? Not necessarily. While you're fighting with the bank trying to explain to them why they need to loan you the asking price, someone else knows what the dealership has and slaps cash 💸 down on the table. In the future, if you have the means to pay cash for a vehicle then do it.
@@willsanders187 Bruh...it's called advice. You can take it or leave it. I'm not talking outta my ass here either. I missed out on a couple of great deals. With my big boy pants on, I slapped the cash down next time.
Hi not sure if u already have a video about this as i just started watching this channel but im going to start learning to drive in a few months and i was just wondering if u could make a video about how to look after a car (thing like the oil, water u have to put in the engine and how to do it ectra) Thank u in advance sorry this was kind of long
Guys I really need advice, I've seen Will's video already about if the Evo 8 is a good first car, but is a stock 4G63T reliable for a daily use? I'm kinda scared because I don't have a backup car, but if I'm getting a stock 4g63t, I'm not gonna touch the motor until I get a backup car, should i go for it or go for an Evo X?
did your evo come without a wing or did you take it off...i like the wing...my 2000 impreza rs wouldnt look right to me without the wing...but after 20 years of driving it im used to it lol
Christine Chadsey contract?? That don’t matter if you sign a paper. They need their money lol. They probably still could sale it and refund you. Dealerships have so many loop holes.
14,000 for that old Jeep , I think you are lucky to have not bought it. I don't think any TJ is worth over 6,500 and anyone paying more than that is stupid. They are made so bad I don't think there will be many at all in another 15 years.
This is funny. This self-entitled guy thinks that because he wants something, he now has claim to it. First the title to the video is completely off, it should read "Explaining how the car dealer sold *THEIR* Jeep" because that was who the Jeep belonged to, the dealer. This guy had no claim to the Jeep whatsoever. I've dealt with customer's almost daily (Sunday is my only exception), and when I was new, I held a few cars for a customer who would "be right back", only to never return, while I turned away customers who had cash in hand. I never made the same mistake again. What does this guy expect next, if he sees a cash register, he has claim to the front of the line ahead of everyone else that's in line? Guess what? Most business's follow the rule of "First Come, First Served." That's what that dealership did, they served the first one with cash in hand. Now most dealers, myself included, will hold a car for a few days if the customer leaves a non-refundable deposit of 5% - 10%. That way if the customer skips out, we didn't suffer a complete and total loss by turning away paying customers for someone playing games. Not once, ever, in this video, did the cammer ever say that he offered to leave a non-refundable deposit. All he has to say is that "I would of paid cash for the car, I just didn't tell the salesman that," and "The salesman shouldn't sell the same car multiple times a day." Once again, clueless as to the business that not every customer is a done deal. Lots of customers show up, kick the tires, look under the hood, and will be "right back", never to be seen again. They are "prospective buyers", because there's a chance that MAYBE they will buy. If multiple customers continously show interest in a car, eventually that car will sell, no salesman is going to turn away the 2nd, 3rd or 4th customer that comes through the door and say "sorry, but someone just looked at that car." He just thinks that he greater priority than someone who shows up ready to buy.
@will sanders , If that is so, I sincerely apologize. While this video did mention that there was a previous video, I assumed that this video gave all the details of the botched sale. A dealer should have accepted that and placed a hold on the vehicle. Probably won't make you feel better, but years before I became a dealer I suffered something somewhat similar. Just having a family I wanted something with a bit more room than a Trans AM, and being a Chevy guy, I really wanted a full-sized Chevy, which would be the Impala. There were several listed online, but one really stood out in that it had about half the miles of others, and significantly cheaper, but it was in another state, roughly a 250 miles drive (500 miles round trip). I was intending to drive out there the next day, but to avoid driving out there for nothing, I called 5 minutes before closing and verified that the car was still there. They said it was, and they would have it cleaned and prepped for me the next day. So I drive out very early that day and get there before opening, I had to sit and wait for them to open, luckily a salesman took pity on me and attended to me before the store actually opened. I showed him a print of the listing, had my driver license and insurance ready, and had the cash visible. He took a look at it and said, "Sorry, but we just sold it, but don't worry, I see you came prepared, and with a down payment like that, I guarantee that we can finance you for an even better car!" When I was a kid, I never financed a car, every car I ever purchased I paid cash for, even my first car that was a clunker for 800, it had oil leaks and no A/C, but it drove and I didn't owe anything on it, and I wasn't about to change now, so I declined and went home. Back online I continued my search, and the listing for that car was still there. So I called and asked about it, "Yes sir it's here! Come on over and I promise we'll have it cleaned and prepped for you when you arrive!" Then it dawned on me, the purpose of the listing wasn't to make that particular sale, it was to sucker people in and try to push them into something else.
It all happens for a reason Will, don't worry about it, just move on brother
already have

Thats not actually how it works when the "deal" was done.

Don't really have one like that. Something i could consider

4G and 4B motors are both extremely reliable motors in stock form.
did your evo come without a wing or did you take it off...i like the wing...my 2000 impreza rs wouldnt look right to me without the wing...but after 20 years of driving it im used to it lol
mines an RS... it didn't come with a lot of things lol
@will sanders what is your end goal for the evo, powerwise?
extremely modest. I had an FP green on my IX would like to do something similiar
Is it really legal for them to do that if you were in the process of purchasing it?
No dealers do it a lot unfortunately.
Pretty sleazy if you had a contract.
Christine Chadsey contract?? That don’t matter if you sign a paper. They need their money lol. They probably still could sale it and refund you. Dealerships have so many loop holes.
not illegal just whats called dealing in bad faith... extremely shady

Sucks about the jeep.
I pay people to wash my car. Honestly can't imagine spending 20-40 minute washing the car.
Not only do you do a good job but it is a great time for a brain break 😊👍 to just relax for a little while 😁😁👍👍😊
hahahahahaha 20-40 mins... I can do the Evo in just over an hr if pups don't slow me down. Focus takes about 90 mins and FJ takes even longer.
its like a therapy session
@@willsanders187 why would a Focus take longer to wash than EVO?
Real car guys clean their own cars.
Do you have a Mercedes
nope
