I have to admit I judged you when I saw you were dating and engaged in what I thought was too quick. Looking at it again I'm happy for you buddy. Life is way too short. If you can find another good woman to love, grab it while you can. You're a good father mate. Keep up the good work. When you mentioned you could live on $1000 Australia a month I smiled because that's music to my ears. I'll be looking at living in Thailand permanently in a couple of years. 🙏
It's not all areas of Thailand, but where we are it's certainly possible. And thank you for your kind conment, life has to keep going and i didn't expect or mean for any of this, but I'm happy with how it's all worked out post tragedy
His first wife (RIP) worked so hard. She was very capable and very diligent. She has done I believe a lot of family well being ground work. I think she even managed to build a decent house with convenient store, did a lot of online sales, and social media marketing, bought a car etc etc Very amazing lady🌷🌷🌷🌷
Really wonderful idea for the twins for Christmas they will truly love it !!! Well done living on a budget your doing a fantastic job, Thailand definitely a better choice regarding cost of living such a beautiful country with genuine people !!! …………………🌼🌸❤️……………….
Hi Ricky, good on you, great to live with less stuff. You are doing brilliantly mate, the girls are thriving. A balance bike for the twins sounds like a good buy,
Great video Ricky. Chaiyaphum is a great town. And my experience is that it has a way cheaper cost of living than the coastal towns and cities many foreigners move to. Since I moved back up to Isaan, I have noticed things are so much cheaper in Korat than Krabi Ao Nang.
I register my truck but I haven't registered my big bike for like 3 years. It's weird, no one checks that but the truck is looked at every checkpoint. Come to think of it, I don't have a driver's license either. I tried maybe 5 times, but every time they needed some type of additional paperwork. Now I just tuck a 500 baht bill in my pocket and use that the one time every other year they see even my US license expired 4 years ago. Works great. I work a recruiting job, commission-only during the night which is how I've been here going on 8-years so far (US-based). If you can find a commission only job, you have full flexibility of hours and days you work. If you got a remote job in your home country the hours would be way better than what I work. There are lots of good jobs working remotely.
Hi Ricky. Thanks for making a video from my question about how you can afford to live in Thailand and for sharing that info with everyone. My wife and I have been enjoying watching your videos. 👍
I’m sure your beautiful daughters would love large Legos. My kids and grandkids had them at that age and loved them. Sending love from a grandma in Florida U.S.A.
Children will cost more as they get older. In Australia all employers must pay Superannuation. Living simply is great but what will he have at retirement age? Good healthcare / schools and Universities are not free in Thailand.
You are rich !! Like me ! Not when it comes to money but we have what we need ! You have a very nice soon to be wife, healthy girls , good food and you live where you wanna be ! Good life ! Take care of your family 😘😘😘
It's cool you still go grocery shopping. I live walking distance to a large Tesco Lotus but go maybe once per year. On most town's facebook page, they have people advertising cooking and food delivery. So, each day I have about 3-4 menu items x2 delivered for my wife and I for about $8 per day. Every day there are different options. May be worth checking out the page in your town. I'm in Chum Phae. I think you actually live close to my mom in law.
Mallory had a balance bike in the UK, they're great! We've recently just upgraded her to her first proper bike and she's smashing it, so I'd say go for it! 😁
Eating street food everyday I couldn't imagine would be enjoyable nor healthy. My partner and I live on about 80-85k a month and that's cooking at home most nights and we never go out except the occasional sashimi splurge. So how the hell you can budget 21k a month for 4 is beyond my comprehension.
@@RickyIsaan i think what he means if those crappy seed oils that the kra pow kai dow etc are all cooked in , then the noodle soups with have no nutritional value . then your drinking that meiji milk was is Not milk in the true sense as its made with chinese milk powder and constituted with sub par water . There is a reason why thailand has a diabetes and cancer , liver fluke crisis . You are what you eat
I see a lot of little kids, one and a half-3 years old on the 4 wheeled scooters. The parents take them to the park opposite me and the little ones scoot up and down the basketball courts, some of them get up a good bit of speed on the smooth surface, but still handle the paths as well💞💞
4:25 I'm sorry Rick, but taking your toddlers on a scooter is absolutely reckless. It doesn't matter if "that's how the Thais do it." Thailand has one of the highest road mortality rates in the world, partly due to a total lack of road safety education. Imitating that behavior and putting your beautiful twins at risk is shocking. All it would take is one moron in a Hilux not paying attention and you won't be able to live with yourself. I thought your continued insistence on riding around by yourself not wearing a helmet (given the kids only have you) was bad, but doing it WITH the kids is on another level.
@RickyIsaan You're going to stop other cars from crashing into you with your superpowers? It's absolutely careless and people die every day because of it. The reason you see so many people doing it in Thailand isn't because it's safe, it's because they have no other option to get around. It's not like they all have a Toyota SUV at home but they aren't arsed finding parking, so everyone goes on the bike 🙄
Mate. Just spend your money and be happy, lately i have noticed not just your channel but many the increasingly negative trolling. Just allot of sad jealous people out there. Just know you are doing great mate, wish all the happiness for your upcoming nuptials, to all the naysayers f em!!
Good video mate, people can live here on various budgets, entirely up to them. We have a monthly budget of 100K baht per month, we own our own house and other lands here as well, we don’t have any debt either. But we haven’t got an income and haven’t for over a decade. Most things are cheaper here than in Australia, but Thailand definitely is not cheap any more, you still need to plan well.
Hi the twin bicycle looks so cool but just started them on something little they are so little in Australia the little plastic three wheelers are the best at big W and Kmart for $20 do they have them over there ❤️❤️❤️🎄🎄🥰🥰🥰🎄🎄🎄🎄🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🎄🎄❤️❤️❤️

Hi Rick, I know one thing shopping at Tops regularly, one thousand Aussie a month, won't last they are very expensive. I've been there and done that, lol.
One must be carefully when working illegally in thailand - you constantly say you work online for example -even that requires a work permit .Saying that though the chances you get caught are slim .
Must be a relatively new motorbike. After 7 years old they need a inspection and then the tax goes up and also depends on cc's. My Spark is 135 cc and is just over 17years old, tax is just over 700 baht!
Need 100k a month to live here and raise a family. Pays for home loan, school fees, health insurance ect. Very difficult to earn that money here but it is doable.
maybe since mum and dad coming over hold off on getting balance bikes so they can get good quality ones from australia and that can be belated chistmas pressie from them

Unless you are financial fit it's stupid to move to Thailand at an early age.
Very hard to become financially fit in Thailand....
Define financially fit. Some people would suggest they're never financially fit. 4 years here and actually better off with savings now
Hi Ricky, good on you, great to live with less stuff. You are doing brilliantly mate, the girls are thriving. A balance bike for the twins sounds like a good buy,

My superannuation continues to grow
Twins are also entitled to these 'freebies' in Australia if we wanted to take advantage of it.
The balance bikes are great for the littlies, they still prang but there's no pedals to add to the bumps and scrapes
