I dig the new detailed review format.
I enjoy the reassessment of your purchases - whether you still enjoy them, and how they have held up over the years.
Your approach is realistic and practical, and that is much appreciated.
"Leopard" habaki..? I thought this style looked more like a rock wall..

@user-tp9gy8kt2q thank you, and it could be resemble a rock wall to, for sure. I also have 3 more swords to revisit, with the same format

@@gargoylesblade Try off camera lighting on a small stand will work better...if you need links advice, let me know..

@JoeSteel1 I try pre visual with the camera first before filming, because every set can be different, just have to get some better lights, that doesn't cost hundreds.

Crap, I really wanted to see how the unokubi spine resolved toward the kisaki but it was blurry, lol.

The one 9260 spring steel sword I bought from Lee I ended up returning because the blade finish had what looked like pit mark discoloration all throughout. In person, it looked like the blade was going through puberty, was not attractive. I was going to try another one but never got around to it.

@MacTX that's crazy, wow. The two I have the blades have been great, wonder if they messed and never caught it, which they should have. Sorry to hear that though.

@@gargoylesblade I'm not sure, it could have also been because of Amazon too. I don't know who messed up.
This was last summer, I ordered 3 Lee swords in the span of a few weeks, the other 2 were L6, and all 3 had issues that could be from quality control, being stored too long or improperly in warehouse.
Their blades all were dry underneath that plastic they usually wrap around the blade, no fresh running oil like I've seen from so many new katanas that I've bought. There were signs that it could have had oil that was long dried. The 2 L6's cleaned up and took new oil fine, no signs of damage or rust so I kept them. They were on sale and it would have cost even more to get similar ones from the other sword makers. The 9260 I couldn't do anything about and it wasn't anything special or unique so I returned. I've been hesitant ever since about Lee.
