This demo section made of cut content is the best sequence in the entire game. Which is kinda sad. Not that the game isn't good, and in fact absolutely amazing for the time. But imagine if it had all been THIS good; more dialogs between NPCs, more horror, more feeling like the soldiers were hunting you, more neat little setpieces....less platforming.

When did Gordon realise what headcrabs did other than latching onto your head like facehuggers? The earliest time I can think of he realised that zombies were made by headcrabs was in Blast Pit when he said “your host bodies had degrees around here but you’re just latching onto that. That’s worse than one of those online degrees. You’re a parasite in every way.” Or did he realise it before entering sector b when a scientist gets jumped by one?
If I recall correctly, to those curious... Freeman entered one of the teleporters, so I think Ross is using Uplink for that scene, those green flashes I think are "attempts" to teleport him back back into thte main storyline ... or something like that

I am legitimately curious about half-life 2 freeman's mind. Not in the sense of: "Goddamn it Ross, stop having a life and make it." But in the sense of how this interpretation of Freeman would react to things like the gravity gun, or ravenholme. Or hunters.
So it's been several years since you posted and we may be finding out the answer to some of those questions soon. Freeman's Mind 2 is being produced and as I type this, Gordon is on the airboat trip out to Black Mesa East. We probably have one or two more episodes until he makes it there and then another until both the Gravity Gun and Ravenholme parts.
Today truly is a great day, I had a short run tonight for work, got home over an hour early, now I have time to watch Freeman delve deeper into insanity.

I say hire him to do new injury vocals or the panicked breathing as a sort of way to keep the base character of Gordon blank for players.
Ross just has to be, at least an easer egg, in the next Half Life. If it ever comes.

It's not cut content though? This was basically Half-Life's demo, it is based on cut content, but this was never meant to be in the game

That "wide load" joke to that Gargantua was really insensitive. It's probably crazy insecure about its weight already, and Freeman just made it worse.
