Which is the intended buyer for such watches. Then there is the buyer/ customer who have to save up, and never wear the watch because they can't afford to have its value be lost, because they have to sell it to finance the next watch. This is the one who is faking it till they make it. Where the snobs start to develop. Because they can't buy the crazy fun pieces, they grow to hate them.

My "Grail" watch is a 36 mm silver Rolex Datejust....that fits MY style. Michael marches to the beat of a different drum....he likes the unusual and the bling....that is HIS style. They're very well built and made, but when people bash them for their looks and say they'd never pay a dollar for something so ugly, you know they're snobs and bitter they'd never be able to afford one. They're expensive, because they're made for people with FU money. Saying you have a house on your wrist is a pretty big deal. And no amount of nickel and diming will allow the snobs to somehow get one like they do do with the vintage rolex or omega they were able to buy for a few grand online a decade ago. I know if they ever spent any amount of time with one or felt it on the wrist, they'd know its an amazing piece of art. Buy what you can can afford, and what you like. If you can't comfortably afford to lose all the value of that watch, or pop it into a junk drawer should it bust, you probably weren't really able to afford the watch.

He doesn't have to worry about retaining the value of a watch, because a lot of the snobs can't really afford their watches and need to constantly sell watches to finance the next one. Or maintain the value of a watch because all their savings went into the purchase.

They're very well built and made, but when people bash them for their looks and say they'd never pay a dollar for something so ugly, you know they're snobs and bitter they'd never be able to afford one. They're expensive, because they're made for people with FU money. Saying you have a house on your wrist is a pretty big deal. And no amount of nickel and diming will allow the snobs to somehow get one like they do do with the vintage rolex or omega they were able to buy for a few grand online a decade ago. I know if they ever spent any amount of time with one or felt it on the wrist, they'd know its an amazing piece of art. A watch dealer, similar to this guy, who doesn't care about name brand crap, says they're definitely amazing watches and loves them, especially when he wears them, they're just a breath of fresh air when it comes to watches and what they offer compared to the other brands that keep the same designs and aesthetic of a watch line from the 60s-70s-80s.
Buy what you can can afford, and what you like. If you can't comfortably afford to lose all the value of that watch, or pop it into a junk drawer should it bust, you probably weren't really able to afford the watch.

It just makes it full of diamonds, and then it’s about the diamonds and not about the watch. I agree with Pride and P on this one. I have no problem with Micheal buying and doing what he wants, but I don’t think it makes the watches any better. They just become ostentatious displays of wealth.

On top of that as watch enthusiast he should know how dial hands work. Sorry but iced out watches made outside of factory are trash. He could have gotten an Daytona with full diamond set from Rolex factory set diamonds and GMT with diamonds or an day-date with diamonds dial and Bessel pretty sure pp had an diamonds watches that look better..
