      You need wheel hub gears for it to work with axial type hydraulic motors, adequate radial types are too expensive and still need about 0.5 rpm to start pulling, would still be problematic to get it rolling. When a spark plug fires, the voltage across it drops from 15-20kV to about 1500V for the remaining duration of the spark. This motor has the plugs for the two additional cylinders connected to two existing plugs. That means when one of the paired plugs fires it will steal the voltage needed for the other plug to fire. It is rare for two plugs to fire at exactly the same voltage, so whichever one fires easiest will prevent it's mate from firing. So the motor will not consistently run very well.

    weld 3 Lada engines together to make an inline 12, and extend the front of a Lada to fit the engine.

    I have been watching your videos for a long time now. I like how you guys built an in line 6 but for your next challenge should be an in line 8 with turbo. But I will make it as a two part video or more for us to enjoy it. Make it as perfect as you guys can as well as making the car look good with a proper tune up. Nothing too serious but good enough.
    On the front of the lada you should extend it with carbon fiber hand built parts like the hood and the fenders to make the engine looks like it belongs to the car and not just thrown in it. I will call this the project Lada Extended Edition V8, short name (Lada Ee V8). I hope you guys take my opinion. It will be a great and fun project. 😎

    Are the 4th and 5th cylinders are not properly sequenced in between the power strokes of the 4 cylinder? That would require a change of valve timing on cylinder 6, to exchange the intake and exhaust cycles.

  • @wallbanger1968
    @wallbanger1968 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    This is apparently the only odd-fire 4 stroke inline 6. You have 2 cylinders fire simultaneously, then 2 more, then the other 2 fire by themselves. It's built more like a 4 cylinder welded to a popping John Deere.

    The random non firing cylinders is the ignition system being piggy backed, when could have been solved by using a 6 cyl disturbutor. But sadly you didn't configure the stroke timing to achieve the potential you hoped for.
    Still it's fun when you make some whacky device.

    Build a apposed piston 4 cyl
    .by basically bolting two blocks together with out heads so both pistons almost meet each other. And porting the intake and exhaust through the side of the cylinder so the pistons are the valves.. Pulling in air threw one set with reed valves and a desil type fuel njection... .. So you end up with a 4 cylinder 8 piston 2 stroke.. May require turbo or supercharger to make it run

    Well funny episode but you need a proper inline 6 crank to get even firing intervals then you can use an inline 6 distributor too so the engine will run properly
