@@anthonyroman4493 my infinity speakers are pretty good if you're going for sound quality. I'm not much into car audio. It would make sense to me to look for high efficient speakers and a high efficient sub to keep from draining your battery. My friend is huge fan of Rockford fosgate. I also think portable speakers like an exos 9 may become a popular solution for cars. Or purchase from best buy I believe they have free installation if you buy the hook up kits from them (which is $30 I think verses getting it free through crutchfield or buying for $8-ish through eBay if you can diy.)

I would love to see this in person and see how it sounds! Only other big one I saw in person was the Audiobahn AWT34 in that hatchback. It was it there, then they took the sub out and got rid of the car, then as far as I know, they are permanently closed. Thanks for showing us the big boys of the subwoofer world!
Clarion made a 32" subwoofer in 1998/99. It was in car audio magazine, and I seen it first hand at Sound Advice in Florida. It was $1200 with box that had half in. thick plexi windows, and red/blue/yellow on white paint splatter inside; with red exterior. That store had all the best!
Very few 15s need 5 cubes but idk box is at least 36" deep and wide looks like at least 2ft talk. That's 18cf. Most 15s want around 3.5cf - 14cf for the 32" Really not that big of a box my 2 18s are in 46cf right now (6th)
Deputy93111 it's not about need but want. Almost all subs will benefit from more cubic feet. Hell I have 9 cubic feet for three midrange 12's and they love every cubic inch. Needs are more about minimums than maximums. No 15 "needs" 5 cubic feet but will it be better than 3? Fuck yeah
The DB32 is a huge neo sub that is proprietary to Alphard Deaf Bonce. The Cosmos 32" is the smaller JLD flavor, with a ferrite motor that anybody can mass order and have branded to them
The first 32-inch sub was used at an IASCA (International Auto Sound Challenge Association) Event in the early 90's. The event was at the Meadowlands Convention Center and it was called "Trunk-a-Funk". The speaker was a custom-made Gauss in a GM Jimmy. Some of the top builders in the industry were there. Trunk-a-Funk was a series of IASCA events in upper N.J. that gave credence to people like "The Fishman" because he had an operating fish tank in his backseat or the "Turtle Man" who used live turtles to tune his sub box and Big Vinny from Brooklyn's Best Audio with Camaro in tow. I though the title was a typo! WOW! This was fantastic man. Great video Jacob. I got my replacement speaker and put it in my box. I recut the ports and put them facing the top now! SHABMAMO. 4ohm and bridged no longer going into protect and it gets my bass needs required. Im gonna show you a pic soon
back about twenty years ago there used to be a 32 inch speaker made by Clarion called THE THUNDERDOME I think it was only like 200 watts RMS but because it was so big it moved a lot of air and it sounded pretty decent but it definitely was not something for competitions

The first time I've seen one about this size was in 1989 in Puerto Rico in a mid eighties Toyota Corolla Hatchback. The back seat bench was removed to fit that huge sucker in.
I had one walled in a s10 in 2002. Was cool but not practical. Played stupid low that was it. Have a blown one in my collection ill fix one day. Sold the blown audiobahn 34. That was true garbage.
Magnat also made a 32 and a 24 inch sub. Best sounding sub I've owned by far is an eclipse 8810 dvc. I still have it 20 years on and it sounds as crisp now as it did when new.
It's highly interesting though 32" subwoofer seems to be doing decent for what's its getting and considering the box is way to small for it... Imagine that woofer in the correct box with crazy low tunning on 15k atleast... It possibly could put alot of systems to shame.. now I did hear a couple of the neo 8"s they make and those subs absolutely slam. I thought my Xv2 8"s where nice 😂.. ATM I'm running a Skar VXf 15" D2 it's a a decent sized enclosure 5.25 cubes external 3.98 cubes internally tuned at 30hz on a sundown sfb5000.1D and it gets ridiculously loud. Hair tricks can float things ect. Which I couldn't do with the Zvx 15" btw.... Alot off ppl don't understand the skar Vxf is superior to the zvx in terms of low end extension...
Stupidly awesome! Though I would still prefer sixteen 8” woofers over this any day. Takes up the same amount of enclosure space yet moves 4 times the amount of air AND has a far superior response with far less distortion in the cone.
That and 8 inch subs sound good on any type of music, whereas a sub this size is more for shock value and maybe playing some bass tracks, rap, and that's really about it. I'd rather have something that sounds clean and punchy but it's not my car, not my system, so none of that really matters. To each their own

I just put in a kicker L7s 15 in my Subaru Outback...kicker 800.1 mono amp hooked up to 2ohm..sounds bad ass!! Only about an hr on the sub so I’m taking it easy breaking it in. My 2017 Subaru doesn’t rattle, just worps...I’m loving it so far..I bought a small box for it and glued and calked it...now I want a bigger box! Love kicker!! New sub here..👍🏼love the vids

There isnt enough air inside of the car to let it drive at high speeds and play at the same time, the windows would break and the trunk would probably open
I saw a 36 inch Peavy speaker and amp in a hatchback once in the 1980s. The guy had a large inverter to make an AC power supply for the amp, and he wired the rear stereo wires into a plug for the amp. What was cool is it was a full range amp and speaker. So it produced all frequencies not just bass, but boy did it put out a lot of bass when it was given some to produce. His custom box looked almost identical to this one.

I am pretty sure that x15 will go loud no dout..but i think more of those sa12's would give a better more musical response...but car audio is subjective everybody likes something else..
justkiddin1980 . You got soo right, i think the sa12 will get that smooth and good bass feeling, while the x15 will smash hard, and i think the x15 has more mechanical noises and bass than the sa12. I think 2 of sa12 will make your basshead melt down with a good box.
My dream system would be two 15s, in a quad cab Dodge so space is limited, I may remove the backseat soon and do a custom box setup. I'd have a couple DC audio or Sundown 15s or maybe since I'm a bit partial to kicker even a couple of the L7 (square Kickers) 15s. Don't think I'd go much larger than 15s, I like listening to all sorts of music so sound quality is nice to have also, need that good response and bandwidth. Really do like the SQ of the two Kicker 12s I have right now, nice balance of hard hitting bass and still accurate response.
Back in the 80's I had a Honda CRX with box in the back with four 12's. I remember air space was always the challenge. Is thee enough room in the back of that TT for such a big speaker to properly move all that air?

Back in the late 90s here in Rhode Island a car audio shop had an Explorer and it had a 32” MTX subwoofer in it.
Sweet build! So half wattage, they need to send that back window with the full 10k.
I looked this sub up on its website with this car in the back ground and it said its RMS is 2500w and max is 5000 and it weighs 78 lbs
32” and weighs 78😂 some 18”s weigh 90-100

The first time I've seen one about this size was in 1989 in Puerto Rico in a mid eighties Toyota Corolla Hatchback. The back seat bench was removed to fit that huge sucker in.

In the early 2000s, a shop called Kajun Audio in Lafayette LA had a Clarion 32 inch sub. Never heard of or seen another one until now.
There was a guy that had the clarion in a truck walled off. It didn't do very good numbers if I remember correctly

I had one walled in a s10 in 2002. Was cool but not practical. Played stupid low that was it. Have a blown one in my collection ill fix one day. Sold the blown audiobahn 34. That was true garbage.
Magnat also made a 32 and a 24 inch sub. Best sounding sub I've owned by far is an eclipse 8810 dvc. I still have it 20 years on and it sounds as crisp now as it did when new.
It's highly interesting though 32" subwoofer seems to be doing decent for what's its getting and considering the box is way to small for it... Imagine that woofer in the correct box with crazy low tunning on 15k atleast... It possibly could put alot of systems to shame.. now I did hear a couple of the neo 8"s they make and those subs absolutely slam. I thought my Xv2 8"s where nice 😂.. ATM I'm running a Skar VXf 15" D2 it's a a decent sized enclosure 5.25 cubes external 3.98 cubes internally tuned at 30hz on a sundown sfb5000.1D and it gets ridiculously loud. Hair tricks can float things ect. Which I couldn't do with the Zvx 15" btw.... Alot off ppl don't understand the skar Vxf is superior to the zvx in terms of low end extension...

Stupidly awesome! Though I would still prefer sixteen 8” woofers over this any day. Takes up the same amount of enclosure space yet moves 4 times the amount of air AND has a far superior response with far less distortion in the cone.
That and 8 inch subs sound good on any type of music, whereas a sub this size is more for shock value and maybe playing some bass tracks, rap, and that's really about it. I'd rather have something that sounds clean and punchy but it's not my car, not my system, so none of that really matters. To each their own

I just put in a kicker L7s 15 in my Subaru Outback...kicker 800.1 mono amp hooked up to 2ohm..sounds bad ass!! Only about an hr on the sub so I’m taking it easy breaking it in. My 2017 Subaru doesn’t rattle, just worps...I’m loving it so far..I bought a small box for it and glued and calked it...now I want a bigger box! Love kicker!! New sub here..👍🏼love the vids
as a professional audio specialist. that sub is not suitable for that small space. it needs to be in a 10 -12 square foot enclosure for maximum spL
Cool vid. I personally don't care much for these huge woofers as i ve seen a few in action. Back in the mid 90s Clarion used to make some woofers like that. Was a nice build though!

Also, you need to cut out the background music of yours ENTIRELY when the demo starts. It sounds very strange and actually makes the vehicle's owner's demo sound awful.

There isnt enough air inside of the car to let it drive at high speeds and play at the same time, the windows would break and the trunk would probably open
I saw a 36 inch Peavy speaker and amp in a hatchback once in the 1980s. The guy had a large inverter to make an AC power supply for the amp, and he wired the rear stereo wires into a plug for the amp. What was cool is it was a full range amp and speaker. So it produced all frequencies not just bass, but boy did it put out a lot of bass when it was given some to produce. His custom box looked almost identical to this one.

@@dude4512 yeah i do not like most american products, because i am european and i like the more muscical quality stuff.. I am pretty sure that x15 will go loud no dout..but i think more of those sa12's would give a better more musical response...but car audio is subjective everybody likes something else..
justkiddin1980 . You got soo right, i think the sa12 will get that smooth and good bass feeling, while the x15 will smash hard, and i think the x15 has more mechanical noises and bass than the sa12. I think 2 of sa12 will make your basshead melt down with a good box.
My dream system would be two 15s, in a quad cab Dodge so space is limited, I may remove the backseat soon and do a custom box setup. I'd have a couple DC audio or Sundown 15s or maybe since I'm a bit partial to kicker even a couple of the L7 (square Kickers) 15s. Don't think I'd go much larger than 15s, I like listening to all sorts of music so sound quality is nice to have also, need that good response and bandwidth. Really do like the SQ of the two Kicker 12s I have right now, nice balance of hard hitting bass and still accurate response.

Back in the 80's I had a Honda CRX with box in the back with four 12's. I remember air space was always the challenge. Is thee enough room in the back of that TT for such a big speaker to properly move all that air?
