    High passing a snare has changed phase on me I couldn’t tone back with eq. Shelf can work. And the low pass isn’t something I find in pop snares for example so not automatic.
    But the video basically says to eq boost or cut a bunch of standard frequencies. So pretty non specific. But I understand you also are creating videos just to have content. Cheers.

    This is where you have to really really use your ears..I get all my drums sounds from albums and CDs so I doubt that I have to tweak any further with them as they were already recorded in a million dollar studio

      They will be in a different context with different elements, ofc they will need work to work within the mix

      The issue isn't them in isolation it's when they sum with other parts

      That's why I say use your ears, because you can use these suggested eq settings and ruin a snare that does not need them.

    Use linear phase mode then, why does the phase matter on a snare anyway? Unless your layering
