That's my idea of heaven.
I just this week got a gorgeous rescue duck. She's adorable. Any bowl of water I put down, she's in straight away lol. I heard a quack and stuck my head over the fence, saw her, and took an inflatable pool to the neighbour's for her. A week later, they asked if I wanted her. She was on a diet of pure White bread and a few greens.... a terrible diet for a duck. Thankfully she's ok, just poor feather health which is already resolving with a proper diet. She's adorable and I love her 😍

@Michele.. Oh wow thank you for taking the duck into your care, just in time already, or the health consequences of that white bread etc don't bear thinking about. Well meaning but ignorant people who need to do more research.. Modern White bread is not good for anyone tho! Wishing you love & happiness with your new duck-friend 💕💗
maybe you can get her a companian too so she can communicate with someone of ther own species as well....ducks live in "pairs" in nature, and are very lonely when kept without a partner.

We shouldn't use terms like "princess" to describe someone who's doing a good thing. Monarchs aren't really known to be kind hearted individuals who go out of their way to rescue animals.
@@JacktheRah I agree with every word. Here I use the word princess in Disney's movies sense. Monarchs are the scummiest leeching dirts on earth everywhere to this day. I never use the titles princess or king to describe them because they've never been worthy or done anything deserving of it. They abused, stole and corrupted everything including these titles they use to describe themselves. So where I disagree with you is that we should preserve these titles to beautiful and caring souls, and stop using them for monarchs. Instead we describe monarchs for what they are, cowardless leeching thugs who run a family mafia

Oh my goodness this was so sweet. Thank you for taking care of little Cleopatra and Henrietta. They are absolutely adorable. I had 3 pets ducks growing up and they are such good pets. People just don't understand how smart and loyal ducks can really be. Pet Cleo and Henri for me!!!!

I recently moved to Charleston, SC from Los Angeles, CA . This part of the US has hunting season for ducks and turkeys, etc. I CANNOT IMAGINE HUNTING THESE SWEET, SENTIENT BIRDS! Nope not going to ever happen!

Reminds me, since I am a pilot, of why I like the movie "Fly Away Home" so much. I remember at Disneyland people gave up waiting in line for their ride to watch a Mom and her little ducklings come strolling from a pond to 'human watch'.
They are such expressive creatures and it is fun to see one of those rare moments when they fly overhead migrating south for winter. To learn of their humor, and vocabulary of quacks, is also so interesting and also the compassion of their mother and the love we Americans have of our allies and mentors in Australia.
