I definitely liked the 1994 version of shere kahn the most it shows him as not being a murderous hateful being or a tyrannical dictator but a law keeper/protector they state this in the film and show what happens when you do break this simple law. Given how badly tigers have suffered at humans' hands in real life, I always felt that even at his scariest and most hateful, Shere Khan's grudge against them was not entirely unjustified. I'd like to see a version of him that combines more familiar aspects from Kipling's original stories and the Disney versions with something like the 1994 film, with Shere Khan trying to hunt down Mowgli at first to eliminate an "inevitable" future threat, only to later realize that the boy has chosen to live in harmony with the animals of the jungle instead, and the story ending with them on more peaceful terms 🙂
