Let me be honest. I am one year old now in music production and Michael of 'in the mix' was really helpful to help me get started with FL studio and production part. When I recorded my self for the first time, I was stucked for 3 months until I discovered Help me devvone channel who thought me mixing and mastering. Devvone I have watched all your videos on TH-cam. And I go through the live mixing video you did for about 4hrs during covid period before I mix any song. Thank you.

Believe it or not a blanket over your head and microphone does wonders, Amy whinehouse recorded back to black like that and I've seen Travis Scott do that in his living room both footage I've seen on documentaries about them and then my producer friend gave me that tip as well. Not quite an industry secret but it's a quick and easy professional move

@0:11 Respect to all three of y’all. I Use Fl For Mixing Beats & Pro Tools For Recording/Mixing Vocals & Mastering. Devvon Terrell got a in between direct or stay on page demeanor in a light way, it leaves you with "stay on page" demeanor , Courtney got a calm "it's whatever" demeanor so you get confident in a calm way demeanor which leaves space for you to think whatever and feel whatever with him. LJ got the Fun Demeanor that you could joke around and have fun hearing his creative way of joking it leaves you thinking "what joke is he gonna be creative to say this time" kind of demeanor, not too serious and not too light. take what you will, but that's the psychological message you get observing. The energy yall have together really have a strong influence it feels like if you hear y'all talk its entertaining and interesting, like dopamine it keeps you wanting more.

Really OG DAW for PC's was Acid Pro. Back when they were part of Sonic Foundry. Danger Mouse produced the Grey Album on it. It was them, Fruity Loops and Cool Edit Pro.

Studio One user here, was tested and I have a top IQ level worldwide historically. Started with FL, tried all other DAWS because I hit a creative ceiling in FL, deleted everything when I found Studio One & never going back to any other DAW. They are thé best all around and under the hood. Sadly no Atmos function yet but when that happens it's over period. They are already number one by inner working, workflow & all around while sounding top level. So dolby atmos function added means game over for everybody. Plus they are video friendly now also as they updated it for people that work in the movie world as well. We actually got real upgrades that are ahead of the rest of the DAW industry
I also tested all drum vsts, addictive drums is thé best. Add KNOCK to it & it's OVER! TRUST
Also Keyscape is top level, best depends on style/what you are looking for but it has everything. And Trillian... thé best for bass period!
You are basically set for live with Studio One, Addictive Drums+KNOCK, Keyscape and Trillian. Your full band is right there & you can di everything you need with a little sound designing knowledge. Oh & get the Spirit for vocals & the God particle for mixing and mastering. You can make better music with this alone compared to everything 20 years ago if you learn how to fully use these plugins/vsts. Work smart & use what you have, stop adding to the unending list of stuff you think you need and use the best things. Be encouraged and go get it fam, God bless

I think you guys might like Andrew Masters TH-cam channel. Every Monday he does tours of different studios, from musicians to engineer’s. The studios he tours are fire, definitely dope to draw inspiration from. Hope y’all & everyone here are having a blessed new year 🙏🏾 FL Gang 💪🏾

06:00 My whole first year using FL I had the demo version and I ended up with like 30 projects that never got reopened. The struggle 😭😂
05:25 Audacity was definitely where I learned to record myself and compress vocals as well. Audacity was a good cheat code.
06:13 my M-Audio USB mic from 2012 came with a lite version of pro tools that only had like 8 or 12 tracks available. I couldn't rock with that. I went back to audacity 😭
