I found this drainage system to be most bazaar, to see storm water drains drain into a man hole and be pumped out through a one inch hose to a couple of yard sprinklers seems strange too me.

I lived on one property where the grey water was actually joined into the outflow side of the septic. So about 1 metre from the septic the grey water entered the sewer outlet pipe. It was an odd setup, as the opposite direction of the septic, was a small orchard. The septic actually ran out into a small open irrigation channel that ran into a paddock. That area had the most lushes grass that the animals just loved.

I'm assuming you're in New Zealand, so in New Zealand do you not run your toilet water to the septic tank or do you have a gray water tank that just takes drain water for instance from your kitchen sink your washing machine your bathroom vanity, then do you have another tank where the toilet sewage goes in? In the United States all of your water from your house goes into your septic tank there is no gray water and black water it's just sewage.

That pump is really not pumping that well. From the noise alone sound like pump is straining to get water.
And that output at the pump should be like a firehose.
Think the pump inlet is clogged or surrounded by gunk.

It seems to becoming the norm, nowadays. Do as little as possible for as much money as possible. And pass the problem onto the next guy
Some people, near me will only do what is asked of them, rather than look to a possible cause of the issue
    Love watching your vids.

At least where I am in Texas, you can't do that with grey water. _all_ water from inside the house has to be run through a chlorinator system before it can be sprayed out on the yard. No more normal septic, and NEVER any surface untreated grey water. (Which I consider stupid. My shower water would keep me from having to water the lawn, if they'd allow it. Instead, we have to pay to have it processed down the road)

Simiar happened to us this past few weeks. Needed some work done on septic tank (new riser) and one guy dug a hole, decided he couldn't keep digging the hole as it was too hot; said he would come back; nothing. Second guy said he would come , kept not showing, found out he went to florida on vacation and said "he'd get around to it". Told him to take a hike. Called third guy, came out, measured for the riser, cut the riser and capped it on the spot, less than two hours including filling the hold. And charged 1/3 the other guy wanted. Jerks everywhere. But not where you are :) Good work.

Believe it or not but oddly enough, the same thing happens in IT. People will go out and say, "Yeah it seems to be working fine." then charge for their minimum one hour and leave. Client keeps calling new people out until someone takes a moment at finds the issue.
Good job man. You are awesome.
