Have you considered hanging your root "specimens" on poles around your van? Like putting the heads of your defeated enemies on pikes around a defense wall. 🤔
I really like how you elaborate on what's happening. How it feels, what nozzles you are using and why, and what the owner could or should do to get the drain sorted. And your excitement when you clear out roots! I can't believe I am addicted to watching you and Ollie clear drains 🤣
Your mate in Sydney pulled out half a tree from a drain he was working on yesterday. I am sure the council is going to bust him for "removing" their pavement trees........
Those roots looked like a thorn bush like my roses grown on. Wow those were massive. It would probably be easier to reroute his whole storm system instead of trying to clear those buggers that would just regrow being so close to if not directly in the path of that tree. Great try Gavin. I enjoy your humbleness and honesty.
@@penetratorblockeddrains You HAVE TO watch it (751) ! ! ! Trouble is, it's nearly 1.5 hours long. So grab yourself some popcorn and a comfy seat with Mrs P. 🙂
Have you ever looked into getting micro root saw ? Almost 2 decades ago, We (as entity) had a 2" root saw for a midget vactor. The root saw speaking about was nothing more than a nozzle with basically a 1.5" long 6 fluted shaft bolted to the stubnose penetrator with 3 forward ports & 4 or 5 rear ports. The penetrator ports spun cutter & worked well. The most damage to even pvc was from stabbing & not by running. Maybe you can find & or fab one. Very simple. Just food for thought. Thanks for sharing.
Gavin u found the customer problem tried to clear it but it needed to have it dug up and repaired I hope you get to do the repairs for the drain for him.right o mate si u on the next one
A Stormwater Drain, and the next Fight with Roots! Wonderful great Roots! You work with to little Nozzle a long Time, then the right Nozzle, and a great Hill Roots come out. Think always what Olly for Nozzle to Take6. To last have You the Fight to win.
Hi, I was just thinking about your scuffed hoses. Have you considered 6 to 1 heat shrink tubing? It has epoxy inside to hold onto what it's shrunk around and may help save some hoses. Putting one every 5 meters or st may help judge distance as well. Just think of me as an electrician looking for new ways to use existing products. Try to not use the cheaper ones less than 6 to 1 shrink ratio.
Hey Gavin They didn't beat you, they were just thick. Apologise to Mrs P but you're looking pretty good and healthy at the moment. 😊 Hi to both Mrs P and Mini P Stay safe, see you next one
what are those bristles called that you sometimes stuff into the drains to block crap from dropping into the storm drain? I've been trying to locate them, but can't find the right wording.
@@penetratorblockeddrains Thanks, that gave me another key word to search for. Gutter brushes, apparently, here. Basically I want to build my own cat cleaner toy :)
Hey buddy how you doing today hope you're having a great day and I think you're doing a good job and keep up the good work catch you later buddy❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
The more the rooooots the better. Nothing Gavin can't handle. I don't think I have seen a failure video yet. I forgot, how many PSI did you say you have with this system?
Looking at the entry/exit point at the street, seems like the manufacturers of those points would somehow (either in the mold or with a grinder after the mold) round the inner edge. With the metal cover, maybe make the cover an inch or so longer and turn the end over a rod to make a nice rounded edge. Don't they realize how sharp those edges are for hoses when the pipes need to be cleaned out? Maybe all the plumbers should write to the manufacturers and suggest this for future installations - after all, why should you guys have to be extra careful not to get your hoses damaged when the problem could be prevented at the manufacturing point. // And, as usual, good job - at least fining out the problem and suggesting a solution - which sounds reasonable/feasible (putting in new pipes and bypassing the current problem). Wonder which he'll do?

Great way to start my day, cup of coffee and "ROOTS"!
Hi Clinton, keep buying those houses 🏘.
Nicely done Gavin.

Nice little bonus being next to the main and everything draining down into it. Saved a little cleanup time!
I know right lol
Sad today, so I thought I'd come and watch one of your videos so you could cheer me up. Thanks!

🐸 Not to worry, Ollie had a similar problem in one of his last videos - full on branches growing in the drain!
I need to watch it. I’m behind on a few

A root system that defied you, yet you've set up a good plan for the homeowner. Nice work.
Thanks 👍
You didn't try running it straight from the main hose. That way you get 100% of the pressure. And it will punch right through them tough roots.
Pipe is too damaged
Pipe is too damaged. You can feel something is not right and it’s not just tree roots
A very good Wednesday evening to you all
Evening
Love the sound of the single barrel. If you listen close, it’s talking 🤣🇬🇧💜
Roots! Nasty root intrusions in that drain pipe...lots of specimens of carnage.
Those were massive sized roots in there! What a shame to have bought a new home and come to find there are issues like these roots!
Howdy Gavin! Hope all is well in your world!
Clinton is good to you Gavin . Also let you do the job for him .

Hey penetrator! Have a bloody good day from the USA! Lol
Same to you
Another epic battle!
What about using the DC? I saw a demonstration where those heads actually cut through plywood.
Too big for that pipe set up
Have a great day!

5000 psi
💪💪💪
Call Ollie....he'll get through them!!
Those roots are bad ass
All Good Gavin 👍🍺
Need your flexi cutter ..
maybe you should have tried with the bigger hose, instead of the smaller one. more preasure and would have cut those routs no problem!
Nah the pipe is damaged and we won’t get through
Where is your crew? Madball, traffic guard and toad. Miss seeing them.
Why not buy some heat shrink to repair the damage to the outer hose??
Do you ever find snakes in the drains when you clean them
Not yet
