Is there any upfront payment needed for any of these insurances in case of a health incident? Eg. would we need to pay a bill of xxx euros and then reimburse it? Or would it be cashless?
Hi, Balaji. Thank you for explaining everything beautifully. I have two questions that I believe you can answer. German embassy Website (for Chennai) says they need a certificate about compulsory health insurance from my German employer for a visa appointment. My question: How is it possible to get a certificate about our health insurance even before going to Germany? Is that necessary? (Please note my employer has sent an email on the record saying they WILL provide health insurance. Is the email copy enough?) Another question: It says “If not already included in the compulsory health insurance, a separate travel health insurance has to be presented for the time from arrival in Germany until the beginning of employment.” Do you think a separate travel health insurance from my time from arrival in Germany (Dec 15) until the beginning of employment (Jan 1) is sufficient? Do you suggest I should arrange and show separate travel health insurance for those 15 days at my visa appointment? Or separate travel health insurance for those 15 days is also included in my compulsory health insurance? Thank you for your time.
Honestly I haven’t tried Allianz, so no comments. I opted both ADAC and Hansemerkur in the past, so I was able to compare them both although I didn’t use it for claims. But most of the people have opted one of the companies which I explained
Hi balaji, im traveling to germany next month on an employment visa. My visa appointment is at dubai german consulate. They're asking german insurance during visa appointment itself. It clearly mentioned that travel insurance is not enough. My annual gross salary is above 80k. Could you mention some good private health insurance.
They are looking for just a travel insurance which is mandatory for visa purpose, once you reach here you need to avail either public/private insurance. You can connect with us once you are in Germany to support you in further topics.
Thanks Balaji, very helpful information!
Thank you so much for uploading such an informative video. Keep going...🤞🙂
Thanks for watching and supporting words.

Yes you need to pay upfront payment because it’s a kind of private insurance and later you can claim it from your insurance provider

Travel insurance is mandatory to avail the visa, so kindly choose one of the provider which is mentioned in the diplo website. Rest is all fine.
Thanks for the informative video. What about Allianz Insurance? Is Hansemerkur better than that?
