That’s just for the taco limited, don’t forget that there is the trail hunter and trd pro option which are definitely going to cost more then the limited, basically the same price as a tundra.

I have had two Tacoma’s one with a 4.0 and the other with a 3.5 engine and I have had two Tundra’s both with 5.7 engines and I LOVED THE TUNDRA for the ride and the huge cabin and the POWER. I an not excited about the 2.4 turbo because a 4 banger in a truck just doesn’t sound like it’s enough power. Also I am 76 years old and of the MUSCLE CAR ERA and don’t care for little lawnmower motors in vehicles but I have had several 4 banger in different cars and a small Mazda pickup with a 2.5 and a five speed manual transmission which did very well.

My lease is up this year and I'm trying to decide between another Taco or the Tundra because of the pricing of the new Tacos and going for MSRP+ vs 4-5k off a Tundra. Don't love the idea of driving a big beast, but damn the sticker shock is definitely offputting. That fullsize moonroof on the Tundra though is reallllllly nice.

Drove a Tundra for 7 years. Got 25,000 - 30,000 miles on a set of tires no matter what brand of highway tires I used. Traded for a Ford F150 and get 70-80,000 miles on a set of tires driving the same way.
Wonder if anybody else has similar experience?

I went from a 19 Tacoma sport to a 23 Tundra SR5 Off road dc. I tow regularly. Although the Taco could tow in ideal conditions, if you threw an incline or a wind at it, it was a dog. I had the Taco for 3.5 years. I've had the Tundra for about 10 months. The Tundra is averaging 1mpg better doing the same day to day use. It's a beast. The 24 Taco seems like it's at least going to be a capable truck, not just a pretty face.

Once I had my second kid, I upgraded to the 2021 Tundra TRD pro and love it. The new gen Tundra might be my next truck though but at least 10 years down the road and these truck prices need to level out., it’s ridiculous. They practically doubled the Taco points by doing that. If someone cares about the price, that includes me too, then we just drop a trim level for the more expensive truck (Tundra) and suddenly while keeping most of the positive features the price difference will go away or get reduced significantly.
