I'm over in Tallahassee and I sometimes have to go over there. I'm Catholic so I cross myself! LOL just kidding. It actually always surprises me how down home and Cawntry it can be. I see those tall Insurance buildings and stuff and I still hear "hey how y'all doin?" plenty of X's.
There are lots of people here in Jax who have lived here for generations upon generations. Our Southern accent is part of the Northeast FL, Southeast Georgia speech. A little bit different than our cracker brothers in other parts. Listen to the long vowels...that's how one can tell!
I’m from outeast. In Duval we don’t call it the east side. You were in 1200 block. I grew up off 3rd and van buren right by a Phillip Randolph. The area is getting redone and a lot of people have left. But it’s still dangerous especially just cruising through. You probably didn’t even recognize that they were looking at you riding around. You rode past hope store on the corner (brown brick store) and it’s so much crime in that block and Florida Ave that you didn’t ride down. But people there all know each other and grew up together. Outeast and parts of the north and west don’t vibe so that’s where the crime be happening
Go to the Westside. 103rd and Blanding, don't stop for any reason. Sketchy at best. Northside isn't much better. Lem Turner rd, pearl rd, that's the hood‼️ Oceanside as well...No Bueno ‼️
The City & the Jaguars are going to pour money rehabilitating Out East or Eastside to preserve this historically black neighborhood. (withintrification vs gentrification) As the renovation of the Jags stadium happens so will this area. So, this depressed area will no longer be in 3 to 4 years fr now.
It's not the city buying these houses it's clients from out of state buying up the property that people can't afford anymore then building cheaply made two story houses putting two homes on one lot and buying up everything so it's a supply and demand situation.
My hood. Live across from Old City Cemetery. Union Street west to DT. It’s awesome. Bike to Palmetto street underpass to stadium. Best experience is night game of Jagz. Duval against all y’all. 😬
Being from the Eastside, you two are definitely not an authority on all things Eastside. I'm offended by your comments in particular. I'm talking about the man. I noticed you never stopped and said all that out loud. And that was not all of the Eastside. Didn't even touch 21st. Street. Two clowns 🤬🤬🤬😡😡😡😡
Haven't checked out the channel in a while. WOW, congrats on 140K subscribers and your success. Keep it moving!

Beautiful city
Craziest looking streets in Jacksonville are behind the humane society near downtown. Wade Drive and Goodwin street

That wasn’t a 1/4 of east side Jacksonville
Arlington is spotty with the hoods. Moncrief a little too but definitely more good areas in Arlington.
