It tickles me why people get offended about Hood videos when there's one in every city, white ,black ,Hispanic etc. I'm born and raised in Jacksonville. This place used to be straight gutta.💯 They're just starting to clean things up in certain areas but it's pushing it out further.
Good evening Jose and Katie, this reminds me heading down Michigan Ave in the D during the evening. I remember going through Jacksonville 30 plus years ago, somethings simply change for the worse. You folks stay safe and you know what to watch out for. .. God Bless
I grew up in Downtown Jacksonville. That area has deteriorated in the past 15 years to what it is now. When the economy tanked in 2008 the amount of homeless people increased in Jacksonville and it has gotten progressively worse ever since. When I was a child NONE OF THOSE AREAS had homeless people in them. The entire city has gone straight to hell since my childhood. I used to walk through those areas as a teen going to do things for my mother. It was Safe back then. Now it is too dangerous for ANYONE TO BE OUT THERE LET ALONE A KID. Jacksonville has gone straight to hell in the past 15 years. Anyone that says different is just running their mouths or hasn't been here long enough to know anything. I know what has happened because I lived it from my childhood up until the present day.
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS I’m not a hater I like your guys channel and content but whenever you’re in Jax you purposely only talk abt the negative and only show the hoods. Again no hate at all I support the channel❤️

That area you first drove through in downtown is near two homeless shelters so no surprise they congregate there. "There must be thousands of homeless people in downtown." If you count everybody you saw walking around as homeless I guess.
right how did he even know if they were actually homeless because in Jax its not uncommon for people to go walking around the hood even at night there.
@@waverider227 Right, I was kinda laughing about that. Every person he saw walking it was like, "oh, there's another homeless person". Guy must not be from a place where they have any foot traffic, lol.
@earthalex1707 it was esp when they blew up.used to go to his house off Derringer w a half pipe in backyard..$5 concerts at milkbar..and then he first or 2nd warped tour came to town and they played and I sold stuff to alot of the band managers..Sam would come by..sometimes bring bags of clothes that companies would give them to wear for shows, I guess free promotional stuff from pictures..then my dumbass got locked up.and all that was over..lol
Jacksonville is NOT a Hell Scape at all. Hey buddy, go to Philadelphia. You will be terrified and beyond bewilderes. Or San Francisco/ Oakland.. Or Chicago/ Detroit. ect..ect..
The problem here is you went to the WEst Side of Jax which is a well known run down ghetto and older working class industrial parks . Now if you go to the East on the Beach or on the South side you see much nicer neighborhoods. And yes JAx does have some of the Worst Drivers anywhere north of Miami.
That is the edge of downtown that runs up to the east side. A lot of transients around there bc of the bus station and shelters. The other side of downtown is much better but still nothing special
They went through the west side then the north side then through downtown and then south west The west side of JAx has always been a hood with old abandoned industrial parks etc and older homes and poorer people now if you go to the East toward the beaches and then south the neighborhoods are newer and much nicer.
@@waverider227 yep. Just where he was going crazy about all the homeless on union/forsyth I consider that the edge of downtown. Adams and bay streets are not like that and are where visitors would be more likely to be. Don’t want people to think that is what all of downtown is like. Downtown still not great but it gets wild right there
The worst city I ever drove through was West Memphis . That place was a ghetto Didnt feel safe until we got out and crossed over the state line into Arkansas. Ive heard the rest of the city is ok though .
Jacksonville has homeless but there its nothing like California , Oregon, or Washington state where there are entire hoods with nothing but tents and cardboard boxes Jax is nowhere close.
You backed in by the trash can at the union store. Most of them are not homeless. They live in that tall senior busing behind that trash can you’re parked at. A lot of them are living in that building and if you go inside they’re actually living really good.
*shirtless guy walksout of the store minding his business* *guy waiting for the bus* *someone standing on the corner waiting to cross the street* You: “look, look another homeless person” 😂 Lmao smh 🤦
Everytime u guys upload a Jacksonville FL video, I be hoping u drive down the street of a TH-camr but u dont. Oh well. It dont matter now.. She in jail.
Problem with this video is downtown jacksonville has always been shady. Unless you are near the southbank (even then you'll run across) you're not safe really. Springfield is even worse, where the indie rockers are. Best bet is Nocatee, New Baymedows, Hodges, Kernan, it's hot spots that are good. Lot's changed after 2020 and they flew in a lot of illegals into country so in time core Jax (Regency, Downtown, Arlignton, Sandalwood, eventually Kernan, Cobblestone) all those areas will be the new hoods. It's sad but things change. I lived there from 1988 to 2015 and I've seen the city at a time get better (2000 to 2016) then it started declining fast. I left the city for better economic opportunity down south in my career and ended up hating it all. If you have money Jacksonville, FL is great. It's the type of city that you have to know someone (I think everywhere tbh), esp as the economic hard times hit. It will be a pay to play world and the poor will watch the cost of living sky rocket this next decade!
You’re literally driving through the homeless parts of the city and making the comment on how many homeless. I didn’t even see that many homeless as you were driving around to compare it to skid row.

agree I went downtown in 2008 and 2009 it was getting bad then though 15 years later I imagine its even worse today in just the past 5 years.
No different anywhere else. America is in the 💩er n the govt keeps lying about it. 🇺🇲
Correct. JAX news recently said that the colored bridge lighting will be replaced with only "Red, white & blue" this summer.
Ron de Satin did that

How can our cities get cleaned up?
There are modular homes cheap. Build a tiny home community for them on low value property. Rather than just putting a bandaid on the problem.
