I have Lenovo 330s 15IKB . It does not have backlight keyboard. Lenovo websites shows compatible backlight keyboard for my laptop model. My question is where do I have to insert the backlight cable ?
You should have separate connector usually 2-3 pin and written knd_bl or so.... If you tell me the board model I can have a look in the schematic if available.
nightmare for changing keyboard i find sometimes cheaper whole front panel with keyboard in good condition for price of new keyboard it save much more time but respect for doing this i was doing it few times yeah it takes time but why not if you like it. :)
hi sir, im currently doing the same job. wanted to question where i can find the keyboard drivers, because im replacing a english one for a spanish one
I remember when it took 2 hours to replace a screen assembly or a motherboard, even for replacing tim. Now it takes 2 hours to replace the keyboard, 15 minutes to replace a screen assembly, motherboard or tim. Not sure if this design is an advantage though. Soon the whole laptop will be held by just glue.
Hi , hope u r doing well, I have a question please, what's the name of the material used with the solder to glue the keyboard and where I can find it ? Thanks
These are the plastic pieces that came off when I did remove the old keyboard. I just touch them with the solder iron, they stick to it and I bond them back to the plastic.
Have to do this on my MSI or buy a new laptop. This is an IDIOTIC way to design a system! Next system I buy MUST have a keyboard that simply clicks in on the top. Designs like this deserve to be left on the shop shelf unsold.

@@ijazzzali will check in a bit. Was driving..
@@ijazzzali check do you have KB_LED or KBBL1 marking on the board... Should be close to the keyboard connector
@@LaptopDisassembly do i have to open only the back panel or remove the entire motherboard to look for this marking ?

Well I usually do it faster, but since I record I took more time. I do it regularly so... It is all about customer decision.
@@LaptopDisassembly ofc agree

No drivers are needed. It is plug and play. You can change the keyboard layout from settings.... Keyboard and language
@ aah ok, thank you very much sir for the answer! Also a new subscriber here 🫡

can we use small screws like a macbook?
Screws for what.... Instead of the plastic bits...

Most of the new ones are like that. You can use this method also. Some of the models have some small screws but this one no.
@@LaptopDisassembly Unfortunately, you are correct. Great job though!
If only we knew before buying, yes, they should be left in the shop shelf unsold.
@hugocamacaro5280 pretty much all the new ones are the same.
