I don't know guys but cats are very intuitive.. The fact that Mr. Puss Pants was there waiting for you and how he hangs out with you and craves your attention tells me he's trying to tell you something! Like maybe this is your place and that you're meant to be there 😻 I do understand how you feel Paul, some people just make for a toxic environment which isn't healthy. I hope things at the allotment can be worked out for the better! Love to you both, Lori
if you have bushes, like blueberries or such, transplant them now if you want to take them with you... they btw work well in big enough buckets, like cemet buckets you can get for cheap at the DIY Center... not so nice but durable... strawberries can be transplated now too

Cut off emotionally from someone or something- being just done... I do similar. Which reminded me of something. I wonder if it is something handed down from Irish Ancestors.
I have a long detailed explanation for this, but to make it as short as I can, I got the idea based on history of the civil war, a Dr who went mad who also was the biggest contributor of words to the compilation for the Oxford Dictionary. Very simplified; Apparently the Irish Brigade was the most ferocious and generals started using them to lessen the losses of their regiments, and if the Irish brigade felt even the slightest wind of unequal fighting or being used, they just left. This led to getting branded on their faces for being traitors. As many Irish were there also learning tactics to fight the British at home, being tattooed rendered them unable to contribute or even make a living should they stay in the states. In the book this was some context for the reasoning behind why the Dr went mad. He had tattooed an Irish soldier and became burdened by delusions of his guilt. Anyways... After reading that I wondered if that could be a trait that could possibly be handed down, as I had always felt there was something bad about my character because once I felt betrayed and cut myself off emotionally- I could feel not impetus to continued labour, whether it be a relationship with a person, or a job or what have you. Reading that lessened my judgement on myself - maybe just typical rationalization or maybe not.
Also I agree and felt similar as @rachel8717... And everyone who has commented in here about kitty ...Dang, but we're a sensitive lot.
I don't know what it is about people and power trips, but it seems the places that should feel the most welcoming and peaceful like gardens and community centers, can be the absolute worst in regard to toxicity of behaviours.
It served a purpose for a part of your life (and mine too!). Hope you can leave with and hold onto the good memories, especially puss 🐱 Xx

So sorry things have not worked out the way you hoped. I know exactly what you’re talking about Paul when we emotionally check out and detach ourselves from people and places. It’s a survival mechanism I think.

The Plot 25 adventures have been such a pleasure to watch and although it’s sad to see it come to an end, it’s also exciting to know that there’s going to be a new chapter starting ☺️

Beautiful Mr Pusspants loves you guys. Hope you are able to see him regularly. There's a lot to be said for penguins, they take it in turns to lead the pack and there are no dictators. Awful folk who follow the jobsworth need to take a look at themsels...

This made me a bit emotional, although, like Paul, I'm a clean-break person. You've done the equivalent of a decade's work to turn this place into your paradise and I feel so bad that it's become a politicky hell. I'm glad that you can focus on the good things about your plot and derive some value from it now, at the closing. The cat knows, and gives you comfort. The pear tree knows and gives you raspberries!

I feed my cat regular non vegan cat food. I’m vegan but people I know tell me I’m not vegan because of it. What should I say to them? Are they right?
They're not. Tell them cats are obligate carnivores. A fact until a wealth of studies from non vegan cat food sellers is presented.
