Garden design/bed planning is so important use a tape measure and builders string to have the beds exactly the same size with paths the same width, two of mine are slightly wonky you only know when the wheelbarrow legs won't sit on the path. It takes time, to get it right.
It’s a never ending thing a garden but you are doing an amazing job of it Mark. Are there slugs under your upside down pots? Ivan uses pots like that to collect his. Oh yikes I do that I’m always tripping over something. Oh lovely frog 🐸 I hear mind but haven’t seen many this year. Are this baby boos they won’t get much bigger but as it gets colder critters will start eating them as food becomes scarce. We are hoping for our winter burn permit this November 🤞🤞. Look after you too Mark and try to enjoy as well as work, Ali 🥶🌞🇨🇦
I’ve not checked the pots!!! They are baby boos. I didn’t want to harvest just yet, as didn’t know if they’d last till Halloween - do you think it would be safe to harvest now? Silly question, but what’s a winter burn permit? So you can burn stuff? 🔥🔥
@@GrowingWithPlot21 hopefully the baby boos are ok until Halloween 🎃 then. Yes we have to buy a burn permits in March and November, assuming the city approves as well because every year the tree hugging whingers complain about it. But in reality it’s a joke because the farmers can burn whatever they like when they like so my little smoking fire isn’t going to do a lot to damage the environment 🤦♀️
Thanks Ali. It’s so big now, I do need to cut it back. I think I’m going to get some of those dwarf trees I saw at the RHS garden, they’ll be nice to have.
well done mark. All the little jobs add to the bigger picture! Danny
Cheers Danny. Yes it is slowly getting there. 👍

Indeed. Gotta make sure planned right, otherwise it’s a lot harder to re-do in the future.
Another job ticked off 👍 autumn is a time to make alterations on a plot ready for winter 👍👍
Indeed. Lots of jobs to get the plot ready for spring. Little jobs now and then and it’ll all be ready by Spring 👍
Good work it is not easy but hopefully it will be where you want it by the end of winter- well done
Thanks. It’s hard work, but I’m getting there. I’m setting myself an hour or two each week to do a mega weed and rest of time just pottering about.

Hopefully you’ll get it 🤞👍
Pruning a tree rule of thumb is normally no more than a third. It may of course effect amount of fruit next season 👍👍
