When I see these arrangements like this and Norwegian Wood, I think OMG beautiful, but I'll never be able to play this. And somehow (bit by bit) I make it through. Good job teaching. I'm in the home stretch now measures 17 thru end. Thanks for all you do. You make the seemingly impossible - possible.
Thank you so much for the kind words and I’m absolutely thrilled you are almost finished learning this arrangement! You can absolutely play anything with the right approach and effort. Keep up being awesome.
This was going to be this week’s song for me…but I found an old one of Is This Love, Bob Marley and now I’m obsessed with that. I have to come back for Scarborough Fair. I haven’t been there since I was a little
Hello Matt - In measure 2, I am not understanding how to strum the Gm chord with the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th fingers. Is that better than using the thumb to strumm or play that chord? Do you have a video on that technique? I did already watch your "How to fingerpick on the ukulele" tutorial, but am not getting how to use that technique to play the Gm chord. Thanks!
Thanks! It’s been challenging to pluck each string quickly enough to fit into one beat. Interested if you have any tips. Perhaps it’s just a coordination that will happen more quickly with more practice/repetition.
Hey Matt, what happened with your beautiful arrangment/lesson "Eleanor Rigby"' two days ago I was learning it and now I can´t fin it not even in my computer´s record!!!??? thank you very much for your so cool lessons!!
Also, how on earth do you make such great pluck strums? I don't know what to call it, but is there a lesson that speaks to how you pluck 3 or 4 strings and make it sound like a slow strum? I'm trying but, definitely not there.... YET. ;-)

Very much appreciate your tutorials. Thank you for making my learning so much more enjoyable and insightful - from Johannesburg, South Africa.

It’s not a strum, but rather a pluck with the fingers. You can instead strum with the thumb, but that can make it difficult to play in time.

Grest tutorial, and i appreciated learning about effectiveness v efficiency!, This will take a lot of practice for me to play it, but I'm determined!
Yeah, love it
