Great video! Have you considered adding sound deadening material (like Kilmat) in your doors? I did that on mine when I upgraded the speakers and I think it adds a little extra oomph to the audio
Curious is there any reason you went with coaxial speakers instead of component speakers in place of the factory midbass speaker while also not replacing the factory tweeters? I would have to assume leaving the factory tweeters in the car still leaves some poor sound quality there or no? Did you lose any of your mid bass? Also I’m getting ready to do a full sound deadening job in my car, I’d be interested in collabing with you as there some challenges I haven’t seen answered on TH-cam. I’m out in Northeast Ohio.
Thanks for doing this it definitely sound more clear than stock! When you are driving and maybe have windows down, is the sound still good or need an amp? I drive with windows down and worried about clipping when cranking the vol on nicer speakers. Thanks again man sweet ride

Honestly Alex, when you go to turn it in they wont even know. Unless they take the door panels off. Someone said Crutchfield makes an adapter, you could look into that. I just wasn't waiting, I'm impatient! Appreciate the comment my friend 🙏 Thank you!
Nah, no subs for me. Although, I might grab an amp to run these. Plus, I might change out the rears for components. Others have said the head unit isn't bad to get too. Not sure I believe them...lol!
I just got a 2022 Civic Touring, I like it a lot but my wireless charger doesn’t work with IPhone 13 pro and the back up camera is so blurry its horrible!
Brother I love your diy videos, you're lively, entertaining and masterful at what you do. However, the lack of inventory has encouraged dealers within my area to price gouge and I ain't havin it. But boy do love the idea of purchasing a 2 ltr normally aspirated manual tranny hatchback. What you are working on now is an exciting project though so I get it. BTW, you have any concerns about oil dilution with the type R since it's apparently the same basic architecture as the engine in the CRV which has experienced that issue?

@@717PROJECT Hey bro I had forgotten to ask if you've cracked open any of your engines to see whether carbon has built up on the intake valves over time or any business partners/friends you may know of that have experienced such since the engines don't have port injection? I have anecdotal evidence of it occurring to some degree in the 1.5 ltr turbo family of engines. I hate to keep harping on this one issue, but long term reliability is my main focus regarding any vehicle I anticipate purchasing especially in the current market where dealers care apparently nothing about the extreme markups they charge their customers. Thanks for your response in advance.
Sounds good, the factory speakers are complete trash lol, I’ve got a hatch sport with the 6mt and my only complaint is the rev hang, throttle response, and the garbage speakers. Ktuner fixes the two first things and I think I’ve found the fix for the speakers

I always had good luck with pioneers, I put it (4) 6.5 in a scion TC, used it with kenwood 750w amp, and handled it like a champ

I have a 23 sport I noticed the back speakers are a lot lower than the front speakers when you change the back speakers did it eliminate that problem

Thank you, Mohammed! Apparently, it's pretty easy to remove. Pop the back off, 3 screws and unplug. Depends on if the harness's match up!

Nah, no subs for me. Although, I might grab an amp to run these. Plus, I might change out the rears for components. Others have said the head unit isn't bad to get too. Not sure I believe them...lol!

I just got a 2022 Civic Touring, I like it a lot but my wireless charger doesn’t work with IPhone 13 pro and the back up camera is so blurry its horrible!

Brother I love your diy videos, you're lively, entertaining and masterful at what you do. However, the lack of inventory has encouraged dealers within my area to price gouge and I ain't havin it. But boy do love the idea of purchasing a 2 ltr normally aspirated manual tranny hatchback. What you are working on now is an exciting project though so I get it. BTW, you have any concerns about oil dilution with the type R since it's apparently the same basic architecture as the engine in the CRV which has experienced that issue?

@@717PROJECT Hey bro I had forgotten to ask if you've cracked open any of your engines to see whether carbon has built up on the intake valves over time or any business partners/friends you may know of that have experienced such since the engines don't have port injection? I have anecdotal evidence of it occurring to some degree in the 1.5 ltr turbo family of engines. I hate to keep harping on this one issue, but long term reliability is my main focus regarding any vehicle I anticipate purchasing especially in the current market where dealers care apparently nothing about the extreme markups they charge their customers. Thanks for your response in advance.

Sounds good, the factory speakers are complete trash lol, I’ve got a hatch sport with the 6mt and my only complaint is the rev hang, throttle response, and the garbage speakers. Ktuner fixes the two first things and I think I’ve found the fix for the speakers
