Eric is the last one standing! Thank you for your persistent and arduous efforts, all of you!!!
Connor is still there, she's just in a management position now.
Have you guys considered doing a "Tool Tuesday" series showing all the cool tools and equipment you guys have, how they work and a few examples of when they might be used?
Fire departments have a bunch of cool specialized equipment, and even the more "standard" tools like a chainsaw tend to have unusual uses.
Seconded!
Safe travels to Lauren congratulations and also congratulations and safe travels to Kim. Stay safe.
Hey Eric,
You should make more videos of the crews working. Like when a PIO responds have a GoPro recording the firefighters working. Pictures are great but a video would be great. Also what happened to the fire medics series. I miss it. The last thing is a day in the life of Connor. I whant to know more of what she does. Thanks so much we will miss you Lauren
Day in the life of a Probationary Firefighter 👍 - Make it happen Eric
Definitely. Great idea
They did a Unscripted with a newbie on her first day.
"First Day Working as a Firefighter - South Metro Unscripted Episode 10"
Yep. And she was featured in their Recruit Training Officer Day in the Life as one of the RTO's 5 years later.

Saw it years ago, would love to still get a newer day in the life probie tho @@Autofleet4429
❤ SMFR’s videos. Eric and the team have done such a great job. I wish other Metro Area departments would have similar programs. I was wondering why it had been so long since the last videos were posted. Good luck to everyone in their journeys as they pursue their goals. 😢 to see everyone go. Hopefully Eric doesn’t get to overwhelmed while the future PIO search happens. Much ❤ to SMFR!
Pio Kim ,Lauren thank you for your service to south Metro Fire. Wishing you nothing but the best in your future endeavors.
I’m glad to see our patch from Hallowell made it to you guys!
themajesterium1 i have been watching since my hs yrs been only watching skylerfire for his fleet fridays , its nice to hear this from you guys
Eric, you not doing anymore PIO vlog on structure fires? You guys was pretty busy with confirmed fire calls involving an rv, trash compactor at a commercial building, interesting call of giving mutual aid to Franktown in October 2023. Keep doing awesome work
Yea I thought this video would talk about that
congratulations and safe travels to Kim. well miss you
Thanks for your time with South Metro, Lauren! Always enjoyed your videos, wishing you all the best.
I did see the job post on Facebook. Best of luck to the applicants.
Great videos. As a volunteer firefighter for over 40 years, and past chief I love to see young men and women have the guts and glory to help others. Good luck in all your new adventures. Be well…be safe.
Enjoyed this video!!
Goodbye Lauren! Love watching you guys’ videos. Love from Seattle!
YOU DO A GREAT JOB ON EVERTHING
Really enjoyed this video
Congratulations Lauren on your new Job. Any chance at maybe we see Connor again?
Doubtful at least not on a permeant basis, her current position pays more, and is better suited for maintaining a family. Also full time PIO comes with significant On-Call hours (7days on 7days off) which isn't practical when you have a small child, and your husband is a firefighter and committed to 48/96 schedule.
Epic, as always!
Will be a BIG piece of metal!
Glad to see you back for a short pio. Has Appleton started anything with tilter time. I heard Seattle fire department has a good tilter training program.
I saw the job posting and was super scared Eric was leaving. Tried to talk my girlfriend into applying. She has a media background and is one of the best communicators I know.
Still waiting for another fire medics episode.
Can we get another Fire Medic episode?
Nice vid❤
Hi from Australia love to see what USA does different with there trucks and Fire services.
Thanks for this. An idea. Maybe a short video on all the companies in the US that build fire trucks. Maybe on your other channel.
Darn a lot of PIO leaving, Glad that it wasn’t Eric, keep up the amazing work, Can’t wait to see a day in the life of a fire investigator
Is there a link for the south metro fire rescue box alarm responses,I love this channel, keep up the good work
Thank you! Yes, response plan information is available here stories.opengov.com/smfraco/published/NGBPIlSvX
Lauren working for OCFA or LAFD?? can't wait for you to come and work for the state of California
Have a good time in your new department Lauren!
Eric I Walked 2 SMFR HQ And I Give U Guys My Printed RTD & AMTRAK Patch In Person
Hello - south metro fire rescue centennial colorado - I was just curious if you could please do more of the (Fire Medics Episodes) , could you please do more (Probe Day of the life) ,(Engineer day in the life). I was just curious if you could make more videos of the ones that I listed in the comment please. Thanks
What is that intro song called? We're doing a video on our heavy rescue/dive truck and that would be perfect to use
And there backkkk
Wish I had the experience:(
Any update on the next five new medic units and brush 33 & 43?
The new Type-6s are in services
What is med2, seen it on pulse point?
Med 2 is the on-duty EMS Captain currently housed at Station 32. They assist in managing day to day emergency medical operations and respond to the same type of incidents that Med 1 does.
First
Eric what is an email I can reach you by? I have some questions about joining SMFR.
Eric’s a real one. Bring Conner back! What happened to her?
She got promoted to a new internal communications position, which is probably better suited for her, now that she is a mum who can’t be available 24/7 as an on-call PIO with her husband being a firefighter that works 48/96 shifts, she is still a part-time PIO that does respond to incidents (when family permits) but isn’t work on external PIO projects anymore.
I agree at least for vlogs. Her and Eric just click so well together.
Do y’all still do station Saturday?🚒🧑🚒
yes they still do
What unit is the brush engine going to?
the Type-3 Brush-Engine will be replacing Brush-Engine-40
Can we see final 10-7 10-42
What is that ?
It has been awile since I have seen one of theys
Welcome back Kim Connor Eric and Lauren oh how I missed you my friends love your friend in Springfield Missouri kyle
EONe - Emergency One in Florida could of done it better ; )

How is Eric supposed to PIO the entire SMFR District
Connor and Micki are still available as Part-Time on-call PIOs for incident coverage, but TH-cam projects are likely to be more delayed (if not postponed) until the new hire come on.
Follow up question where is Lauren going to?
@@mikesaporitojr3313 idk which individual department but one in California, where she is from.
@@Autofleet4429 um thanks for the quick answer (althoe that follow up was more a not directed at any particular person) goes to show that the SMFR fan club is well versed teamwork
1st Comment!!! Great work South Metro!! ❤❤❤❤
I got rent to you guys, but I don't know the US data, I don't know if I what to do to become Plus of the US.
For some reason the pulse point app keeps not letting me listen to the radio it keeps kicking me off it at a certain time.
I don't know if anyone else is having this problem
The audio feed on PulsePoint comes from the Broadcastify website. Sometimes the feed loses connection and we have to reset it, but that happens at random times. If you're seeing it regularly it might be a router or carrier issue.
Wait, what happened to connor?

What is going on with pio Connor
Yea you should do a day and life of her
She's in a communications management position now and is no longer a PIO which is why she hasn't been seen
@@jaryn6552 she is still a part-time on-call PIO similar to what Kim used to be like.
Is Connor still PIO 11?
Yes in a part-time on-call capacity
@@Autofleet4429 thought she was or is a FT employee ??
