Watching Lily's horse period brings me back to my own horse craziness! I still love horses in my old age, but Lily reminds me of what it was like when I was young. She's right at that age where she's growing up so fast it makes your head spin! Love this girl!
Peaches was a looker but not the right horse for you for sure. Blaze has been good to you Lily & did his best for you! :) I was hoping you would look at more than just one horse before deciding on what horse to buy; but if Ernie is a good fit we'll be rooting you on! ;) Best wishes for you all in 2025!
I remember when I got a horse when I was 11, 53 years ago! He was a 7 year old Quarter horse named Sunny, and he was 16 hands. I wish I had been able to keep him close to home, but the only place available was my cousin's farm an hour away. I am so happy for you! I was amazed to see just how much you have outgrown Blaze! He'll be great for Gideon and for the cart. Ernie looked wonderful in that video. He's a nice looking horse and seemed really calm. All the best for a safe and healthy future for you and your horses!
I'm very glad you are ok I heard that type of horse could be stubborn I'm very glad you learned from him I learned so much from my pony but I don't have him any more either I miss him but I learned so much from him Have a great new year
You’re such a sweet young lady Lily! Blaze has been a wonderful horse for you.. it’s apparent you both have a great bond. Excited that Blaze will stay with you and have Gideon ride him. I think Ernie is going to be an awesome horse for you, you rode him so well! God bless you little Lily! Happy 2025! Look forward to your next adventure ❤
My first few horses were thoughbreds and they were amazing to ride if you get a quiet one. Ernie has a kind eye and big jump, like blaze but much taller! I liked the look of him plenty of room for growth as a rider and height wise.
Am so glad that Lily was ok after Peaches flipping over backwards - that is a really dangerous situation. It is important to always remember that riding can be dangerous for even the most experienced rider, which is just to say that you need to always be aware of what is going on around you when handling horses and watch for signals that something may be happening that needs to be dealt with right away. Blaze has been a great learning experience, not an easy ride, but a safe one for a relatively new rider who was trying to train him to do stuff that he wasn't really bred for. Lily is already a talented young equestrienne with many wonderful experiences ahead of her. Happy New Year!
I really enjoyed the relationship you built with Blaze and how you showered him with love. He will miss being ridden by you but I’m so glad he will have Gideon. And I’m glad that Blaze will have a horse friend to live with!
Happy New Year, Lily! May 2025 be filled with joy and many wonderful surprises for you. May the Lord bless you and keep you and may His face shine upon you! Always enjoy watching your videos. As your horsemanship skills are getting better and better, so are your video making skills. Your future is bright, Miss Lily!
I was your age when I got my first horse and we lived in the city. It was a 16 hand very stocky quarter horse beautiful sorrow her name was sugar. You could definitely get a full size horse. There's many kids your age that right that size. That way, you don't have to keep buying a horse that you can grow into. Dad needs to calm down and know that you can handle it. I got that horse pretty much. Sight unseen and rode her through town to our neighborhood and put her in the backyard. I had never had a horse before, and did all of that by myself at your age. You do an amazing jobKeep living your dream.
Can’t wait to watch! You and blaze are an amazing duo‼ I am trying to convince my parents to get me a OTTB after six years of riding and leasing I am still hopeful😂
Lily your horse journey is wonderful to listen to and learn from. Do you watch Steve Young Horsemanship? His recent video goes through his ideas on choosing a horse with his daughter. Can't wait to see your new horse choice.. ❤
Hello Lilli, it seems to me that Blaze is not to happy when you talk about getting another horse and how much you liked " test riding" the other horse. Hope you will still give Blaze lots of attention.
demand equal training on the heavy equipment while the farm has it as later on when your grown you can list heavy equipment operater as a skill on a job aplication... better money than just a cook and housekeeper. dont get boxed into only learning skills just for girls
Can’t wait to find out if you got this new guy totally think you have a color preference😂😂😂. Maybe the camera size is deceiving, but I think you have more time than you think being able to ride him. You look like a good relative size to your horse and you probably have until you’re like 13 or 14 before you’re not able to ride him.

Me too!! It’s so refreshing and fun to watch!

Be careful the new tb may exhibit all of peaches behaviors without being worked everyday or having proper fitting tack
Peaches probably had ulcers

Job application? It’s safe to say she’ll be the boss! But yes, it would be great experience for her to learn to work on the big equipment too.

Ahhhhhh to be young again! I do hope that you keep your horses at a trainers barn and not with ya’ll. Yall sound like complete beginners to horses.
Pease stop your hand slapping .
