You guys have just visited the place where Albania declared independence .That's awesome. Hope you enjoy Vlora.
The bus system in Albania is definitely most unconventional, it’s normal for them to pick up people along the way and for people to be waiting on the street for a bus cos they’ll know the route they take (even it’s full they’ll stand lol) You can practically ask the driver to drop you anywhere along his route and he would do it. It’s a simple life haha the UK and other western countries over complicate simple things. Also, fun fact- Vlora is the city where Albania first declared it’s independence (you may have already learnt this) there is a lot of history around the city, enjoy 💕

Maybe the taxi took you more money cause you know he is taking money not from each of you but for how far he goes. On the other side the van which in Albania they are called fugona the driver takes money from 21 people as you said that it was a 21 seat. So that's why the taxi is more expensive (my opinion)!
