Al, I’m from the UK I want to say that I appreciate your consideration and kindness to the animals before and during the processing. Even though they were about to come to the end of their lives you still showed them respect. As animal lover and a meat eater I appreciate the lack of stress your animals felt before the end.
Good day Pat, If you eat meat then you know where it comes from. Here we see how these animals are raised with love and care and still we know that some will go to freezer-camp, they all have the BEST life while they live.
You guys accomplish so much, I am amazed at the amount of work you get done. I never miss a video and watch your podcast as well, but put your wives on the podcast sometimes😊.

We are a 4-H family in rural Arizona and your processing is excellent! we processed pigs, cattle and goats, no birds. Very interesting and a lot easier than a 1200 lb steer. Good video.
That calico cat is having too much fun on the fence there. Great work on getting the forms ready for concrete. I am amazed you haven't made small stepping stones forms for any extra concrete after bigger pours.😊

I am sure someone already suggested it or even your project is already set in concrete. But I know if I was putting in a water trough I would put it where it served two different pastures by placing halfway on each side of a fence. No matter love your videos and family. You put a lot of thought into your projects and work hard to make something that will last. Really enjoy the short clips of Brutus playing with the cows.
Al watching you empty the feed bags reminded me of a post I recently saw where the person put some leaves, old straw.. to where they weren't real full and can lay flat.. They stapled them into the walls for insulation of their chicken coops and other small buildings for their animals. Sounds like a good idea and you don't have to trash them, we are planning to do it for our chickens and pigs.
One year we grew a 65# turkey he was the last one a month after the others. We smoked him and had to cut him in half to freeze him. We raised bronze ones. Raising birds isnt fun when processing but sure is good tasting. ❤
Good afternoon Al, Gina, Olivia, and Lumnah Acres friends!😊😊 There is ALWAYS something to do on the homestead! Really enjoyed seeing different aspects of the daily life in one video. The cat on the fence with music was funny! Was just thinking about your intros at the other homeplace where you'd walk down the lane with the stone walls.
On one of the channels I am subscribed to, the guy was operating an angle grinder without the guard on it. The disc exploded! He barely made it to the E.R. It cut his abdomen open and nearly cut his arm to the bone above the elbow. Thank you for sharing.

Good Morning Al, Gina, & Olivia. I like the water container idea with having a small slope for the tank to run off the back of the slab toward the ditch.

Good morning Lumnah family from a cloudy Pacific Northwest. Good morning viewers. Wow, 83 bags of concrete to do it yourself. Good idea to get it done by concrete truck. Tying the rebar is a bit tedious. That does look like a much smaller form than you usually do. Setting up a winter watering station for the cattle. I'm glad you got your water trough slab set-up. That's great that you'll be able to seal the concrete for the barn extension. I'm glad you were able to move the wood out with the forklift implement on the tractor. Yay, the seal is getting rolled on. It looks really good! Harvesting your turkeys tomorrow. I like your idea of making a turkey holder out of the IBC tote cage. A tarp as a roof works good! yes, easier to grab the turkeys when they are roosting. Nice size turkeys! Nice job filling your turkey crate Al! It's been hard for me to find a scalder big enough for turkeys. Good harvest! Nice to have a natural refrigerator. Thanks for this video Lumnah family!

I notice that your trees almost have no leaves. In the northern Central Valley of California, there are some spots of turning leaves, but generally, its still looking like summer trees. Temperatures have ranged from mid 40s to upper 60s. But the temperatures next week are expected to go down.
Those plastic things used to be made out of concrete and were called dubies. My lumber yard had a sign up above the lumber counter saying "we have dubies".
They flap so hard! I got it in the nose when I tried to butcher a turkey and we didn't have a cone. At the end when they are almost bled out they "start to fly" really hard. They next time I did it I had a cone but the turkey was so big it "flapped out" of the cone! It was a Tom turkey and my cone wasn't big enough. The third time we had a hen turkey. It went well that time. They are very strong! have a great weekend!
Nice to see harvest farm stuff again. I'm looking forward to seeing how this cattle squeeze is gonna work out. Thanks for the work you 2 put into these videos day after day.
Grant it, I don't know much about squeeze chutes, but I would think that angle of the fence in relation to what is either the entrance or exit to the chute may prove problematic when the animals are entering or exiting it. Or perhaps where the fence starts to turn is not as close to where the chute would be as it appears in the video.
Good morning, boy. That snow yall got a few days ago, made the new down here on Oklahoma! Yall have a beautiful weekend, and thank you so much for the wonderful videos! ❤🫶🙏
Two things; Why have you not done quail? There so easy, easy to care for, easy to process, and amazing taste.... The eggs are good and very healthy, but we just toss them in the incubator now. 8 weeks once hatched and there ready for the freezer... You want the jumbo.... Just over a pound at 8 weeks.... I could send you eggs to get you started in the spring... It's too cold here in AK now... Second thing is, I hope the squeeze gizmo being tight to the fence works out. Things will be getting easier for farmers in the next four years. Our prices here in AK, for animal feed, have doubled in the last four years. Most people have stopped raising their own food... Thank God Trump loves farmers!!!!
I realize this comment/suggestion is most likely to late but... You should put a very slight channel for run off into the concrete and a chute/slide off where you want the water to go. Example in my corner of the world they make ( don't know exact name ) rain gutter chutes/slides to help keep rain water from splashing on the ground and digging holes but because you are pouring concrete you could just build it into your slab... Loved your use of the IBC tote if you get another and take the bottom off and put it on the top of the other. Get small length of chain cut 2 links off with a single cut ( you might need 4 links ) slide over cage and door quick tap with a welder once installed and boom hinge that is less affected buy the weather.

I know how most animals are processed for food, so I'm not squeamish about it. But, I felt a little bad that the living turkeys had to watch their friends get "processed"! Especially the last one!
We are getting 9 yards poured on Monday in Utah. Currently at 9pm it's 30° . Monday high is 55 and low is 23. We fired our contractor and hired another company. At 73 and 70 we aren't doing much ourselves. This should have been done by the last week in July. Only 3.5 months late. Wish I could have hired you! It would have been done right and fast.

I know how most animals are processed for food, so I'm not squeamish about it. But, I felt a little bad that the living turkeys had to watch their friends get "processed"! Especially the last one!
Although turkey is my least favorite meat, those were good looking birds. I know you will enjoy them through the year. Have a Blessed weekend.
Good Morning Al and Gina! Excellent video. Your farm grown turkeys look nice and healthy. Great job for good food. 👏👏
Brutus is wondering "Why are you doing it that way??? You always do it that way!!! CHEERS from HERE!!!

Morning from Nebraska, hope you have a great day 😅
