Great question! I think without a doubt it would be worse.if fear didn't exist you would miss out on fundamental life lessons and you wouldn't stay grounded.

I study fashion design (art included) and i'm constantly afraid it won't work out, and I won't succeed in this area. I'm still so afraid, that I've been looking for other studies, like marketing, management and communication. HOPE TO STAY STRONG AND CONTINUE WHAT I LOVE THE MOST

There is this girl I've been talking to for the past 2ish years. We meet once and she left to go to the UK and ever since then we have been in touch via text. If I weren't afraid of rejection; afraid of being in a new place without knowing anyone there, afraid of going there literally penniless and no means of finding this girl, I would just pour out my heart to her and tell her how I feel about her. But, fear is such a *insert word here*

The thing is our relationship is very..._fickle_. We both kind of know what one feels for the other but we don't act upon it. LDR on one of the extremest levels, different ethnic and social backgrounds, work.... the list just keeps going on and on. So we both are just holding to this lukewarm relationship we got and sadly take refuge with it.

This video was so much better than I anticipated. The deep humanity in people being open with what they are afraid of. And every time my reaction was “what! Why don’t you just do that? Why not make that change?” But that’s not how fear works.

To contribute: If I was not afraid, I would try every single thing I was interested in doing. Like Forest Gump. Just do things because you wanted to do them.
They say having courage is *not* not having fear, it's doing things regardless if you're scared.

The answers that people gave are truly beautiful and give a greater sense of people's actual desires deep inside and not bringing them into their truth just because they have fears. But careful what you wish for. Because it's the fear of death stimulates you to do those things. If you truly remove that factor (which as I said will lead to bigger consequences) you're really better off dead. There's no point in doing it because you can always do it 'tomorrow'. That is, people would be even more lazier than ever.
I would finally start my own bakery and do what makes me feel at peace. But the fear of failing keeps me back
