Another detail that gets missed or overlooked is that depending on the actual time of day outside, when you are falling from the Star Destroyer in the escape pod, the time of day on the video screen matches the approximate time of day outside. So if you are riding at 2pm, when you fall, it shows a daytime scene of Batuu. If you are riding at night, the Batuu scene will be dark with lights on the buildings. Also, during your review, you said "You have a quick and turbulent journey through before you crash land on Pacara" however, while you are headed for Pacara when you take off, you are intercepted by the First Order, and end up crash landing back on Batuu.

I've been to Paris, Tokyo, Hong Kong although will not go to Shanghi after the Covid outbreak. I've met Roy Williams from the Mickey Mouse Club when I was 10 years old, he drew me a Mickey. He's responsible for all the hats we wear in the parks, he suggested to Walt that Mickey needs a hat! He was the first to draw a hat on Mickey...I'm going to Disneyland in October and headed straight for this ride. Thanks Again!
It looks cool not gonna lie, even though I haven't ridden it yet, but I still don't think that it'll beat my current favorite ride at Disneyland Space Mountain in my opinion. Personally I think that space mountain is king of Disneyland. But I'll just have to wait and see when I actually get the chance to ride it
This is my third favorite ride at Disneyland after Indiana Jones and Haunted Mansion. Indiana Jones is just peak theme park attraction immersiveness mixed with thrill and Haunted Mansion has a perfect theme with a so much detail I notice something new everytime I ride it (not to mention the holiday overlay that keeps the attraction fresh during the year). Rise of the Resistance is such an incredible experience throughout.
The breakdowns make waiting in any kind of standby wait for this unbearably stressful. It's just such a lousy feeling to suck an hour out of your day only to have a breakdown happen before you even make it in the queue building. Even using a Lightning Lane is nerve wracking as I've had it break multiple times pretty much exactly when I get into that line. Then when it reopens the LL backs up so bad the same problem of not wanting to risk the time in queue because of the breakdowns
Love this ride experience. But I must admit, it's been less enjoyable since 2020 because it's less immersive. If a cast member still desires to wear a mask, that's their prerogative. But Disney needs to reassign those cast members to other attractions. Nothing takes me immediately out of the off-world ride experience than a First Order officer giving me orders through a mask. That's not intended to be a knock on the individual for wearing a mask, but on Disney for lacking the self-awareness to permit things that ruin the immersive experience.

I rode this last December. My second favorite ride at the resort, only behind cosmic rewind.
I prefer this to Cosmic Rewind, but both are awesome.

I prefer some of their highly themed dark rides over Space Mountain myself.

Completely understandable.
It’s the best ride Disney has ever made, but it’s not my favorite-not even in the park-Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway is my favorite at Studios.
That's another awesome ride, but I prefer Rise.
The greatest dark ride ever created hands down & one of the best theme park rides anywhere in the world. ESPECIALLY the first few ride thrus

One thing I like about Rock and Roll Rollercoaster, and Smuggler’s Run is the single rider lanes.
The one on Smugglers Run is fast, but I don't use it often since you always get stuck with engineer.

I prefer only my top coasters over this. I'd take this over all but like 2% of the coasters I have been on.

I've been lucky to never have it breakdown while I've been in line, but I've heard horror stories.
I agree. Unfortunately, however, it appears the canons have gone the way of the Yeti on Expedition Everest.
I thought they haven't been used in years, but I've seen some reports swearing they have been used. But they seem extremely rare at best now.

Haven't ridden Rise of the Resistance yet, but if Disney built more rides like this, my opinion of Disney parks would be way higher.

I don't think it ruins the experience since plenty of people in Star Wars wear masks.
